Great optional tour while in Athens. Off the beaten path, our guide provided a ton of history and kept a great pace. Would definitely recommend. Our vendor, We Bikes, offers tours of the city but after walking around the day and half prior, we decided to try something different and bike to the coast. There is a small WWII cemetery near the beach and would recommend for all to visit and pay respect. We really enjoyed the tour, take the time and explore more of the culture in Athens.

Oh dear Veronica, From Athens center to the coastline it is 30 minutes (not an hour) ride as clearly written in tour description. We ride on a cycle road passing some neigbourhoods not a city. Hope you enjoyed the seaside and the greek special treat. And last we have a sea not an ocean :)

We were very lucky to be the only 2 on our tour. Our guide Yota was lovely. We are used to cycling so wizzed along on the electric bikes which was cooling in the heat. We made several stops and enjoyed musical fountains display too. Our dip in the sea was refreshing and we saw lots of expensive boats as we cycled through several marinas. Glad we did this tour.

Had an amazing time riding down to the coast with Marina who was an excellent guide. The bikes were in good condition and the ride there and back was very pleasant with plenty of stops for breaks and an explanation of the area. Great to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

The tour guide didn’t wear a bike helmet and we almost got hit by cars several times. I didn’t feel like the tour guide had our best interest in mind. I am an avid cyclist and bicycle safety is paramount to any bike ride.

Dear Darrel, We were suprised with your review since our guides and we as a company have safety first rules. The coastline especially is a bike ride done on 70% cycle road and through parks and some sidewalk. The crossing of the streets with the traffic-light and there were there is no traffic light you may recall the guide stops the cars with a hand signal so you can cross with safety. Which was easy since you were the only 2 on the tour and always close to the guide. The tour guide recalls the tour very well, you also wanted to stop for food and pina coladas which you did and on the way back she was extra careful because of the pinacolada :) That is also why the tour lasted longer than the 3 hours. The tour guide is Dutch and knows very well how to ride safely, of course Athens is a busy city with traffic and even crossing a street might seem scary to you in comparison to the states but in no way we would put anyone at risk and until now our reviews had never any remark on our safety…on the contrary. We suggest always to wear a helmet to our guest as you did but since we do not ride in traffic it is up to the guide to wear a helmet her/himself or not. Thank you!
