We had a wonderful time and Jeffrey was so kind and attentive. We searched the island for sea glass and walked around the island and them snorkeled for a bit. It was so much fun 😊 can't wait to go again.

Jeffrey was our driver, boat operator and tour guide for a private tour to sea glass island. My daughter and I had an amazing time exploring the island and searching for sea glass and marble. Jeffrey even helped us find rare sea glass. He was very personable and kind, allowing us to take our time with our exploration of the island. I would highly recommend this tour!

We had such a great experience on the Sea Glass Island tour! Our guide, Alex, was wonderful - he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so fun. We found tons of beautiful sea glass and had a lot of fun searching for it (rakes provided!). Alex picked us up right at our hotel and dropped us off afterward, and bottled water was provided to keep us cool. It was also just a short, easy boat ride from the dock over to the island. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable outing in Aruba!

It is so windy, I suggest taking the raft and not kayak. It was a great experience the guys were great getting us there and back. Had plenty of water. And they made sure we had a taxi there when our excursion was over to get us back to the port

Easy to book! Travel guides were kind, knowledgeable and comfortable to be with as a group of 3 women. They spent extra time accommodating my daughter with special abilities. We will return our next visit for the experience and of course the amazing sea glass finds!!!!

    Seaglass Island Tour

Our guides were amazing. They were friendly and helpful and made the whole experience what it was. They explained what to do and answered any questions we had. We loved this excursion and had a lot of fun looking at all the seaglass.

    Call Out Sick

    Rebecca_W, Jul 2026
We took this excursion on a Sunday, which also happened to be the day of the World Cup final. I’m not sure if that contributed to the situation, but it certainly seemed like the operation was very short-staffed that day. Our driver arrived late because, as he explained, several coworkers had called in sick, leaving him to handle everything on his own. After arriving, he had to drop off a friend to pick up a boat, but that person didn’t stay to help. As a result, our guide was left to manage the boat, the kayaks, and the guests entirely by himself. Once we reached the island, he showed us where to find beautiful blue sea glass and got us settled. However, he then had to leave for more than 30 minutes to pick up another family for the next tour, leaving us alone on the island. That was a little unsettling. There also weren’t enough life jackets for everyone, and instead of providing proper dry bags, we were given a plastic ice bag for our belongings. Thankfully, I had brought my own dry bag. I want to be clear that I don’t fault the guide. He was doing the work of several people and remained friendly and professional despite being put in an impossible situation. My disappointment is with the management. When multiple employees called out, the owner or manager should have stepped in to support the operation or reduced the number of tours. The excursion itself has great potential, but the lack of staffing and preparation made what should have been a relaxing adventure feel stressful.

    Very cool

One of my favorite excursions. Whole island has sea glass. Tour guy Rich was awesome and helped gather sea glass for our group.

The amount of sea glass is shocking. We truly enjoyed ourselves and the guides were kind and informative. We would definitely do this again.

    Wonderful experience

It was amazing. There was so much sea glass and there is some shade. The boat was in great condition the guide was super friendly

    Jaclyn_N, Jun 2026
We were picked up on time and taken to raft for the island. No life jackets were offered, but we didn't need them so that wasn't an issue. Island was as expected. Found some beautiful pieces to take home. Would definitely do this again!

Fun way to spend a few hours!

    Virginia_K, Jun 2026
This was something different to do while vacationing in Aruba. There’s TONS of sea glass, but you won’t find anything rare. We enjoyed it very much, but as a fan of sea glass hunting at home, my expectations for finding a blue, red, pink etc were low. It’s a very small area and is well picked over. So if you are happy for the experience, go for it! We are happy we went, and our host was wonderful!

    Seaglass island

    Ernie_w, Jun 2026
5 minute boat ride to the island .There is alot of seaglass on this island .If you take your time and and dig in spots under the small rocks you will find the good colors .The guide was very nice and helpful to show us some good spots to work in ..Very fun day. Thanks

    Disappointing

    Brent_T, Jun 2026
The sea glass was basically all green glass. The island is very small with very little area to explore.

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for your feedback. Sea Glass Island is a naturally occurring sea glass destination, and the colors available vary depending on weather, tides, previous visitors, and natural conditions. Green glass is the most common color found worldwide, while blue, red, and other rare colors are significantly less common and can never be guaranteed. The size of the island is also accurately represented in our photos and tour description. The experience is not marketed as a large island exploration but rather as a unique opportunity to visit a remote location and search for sea glass that has accumulated over decades. While we understand that the experience did not meet your personal expectations, the sea glass colors and island size are natural characteristics of the destination and not something created or controlled by our company. We appreciate your visit and wish you safe travels.

Great way to spend a morning

    Jennifer_R, Jun 2026
From pickup at our hotel to drop off, we had fun! Seaglass Island by boat was a great way to spend a morning. We found some beautiful pieces of glass. Recommend!

    Easier than using a kayak.

    Gary_B, May 2026
The Sea Glass Island exceeded our expectations. The amount of glass there was almost overwhelming. We most likely would do this again. Doing this activity by boat is definitely more preferable over doing the round trip by kayak for retired people like us.

    The terrain was more...

    Diana_F, May 2026
The terrain was more challenging than I anticipated. I found a sturdy branch to use as a walking stick. Our vendor provided bags and trowels to use . You have to dig to find blue pieces Overall it was totally worth the trip. A great experience!

    No sandy beach. Lots of...

    Judith_T, Apr 2026
No sandy beach. Lots of brown and green sea glass. Good place for novice collectors. We did find some yellow. Be sure to include transportation if you don’t have a car as its difficult to get a taxi back to hotels Nice guides

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for your review and for joining us at Sea Glass Island! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed searching for sea glass and were able to find some yellow pieces, which are always an exciting find. We also appreciate your kind words about our guides. For future visitors, we do offer round-trip transportation that can be added during booking, as taxis can sometimes be limited in the area. Sea Glass Island is a natural, undeveloped island, so while it does not have a traditional sandy beach, it offers a unique opportunity to explore and collect sea glass in a beautiful setting away from the crowds. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back to Aruba in the future!

    Fun Excursion

    Molly_B, Apr 2026
It was so fun! We took a boat out to sea glass island and went to several spots to find sea glass and even got to take a swim. It was such a fun enjoyable afternoon!

    Awesome adventure!

    Kathleen_S, Apr 2026
Bring plastic bags/ water shoes/ knee pads- like yoga knee pads- / tiny strainer and if u want to - your own sm trowel or backscratcher- JD was wonderful! Made sure everyone was prepared- explained the history/ process/ what and where to look for glass- would find really nice pieces of glass for each of us/ gave his complete attention to us as a group and one on one as well. Very informative!! Definitely worthwhile and highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful, well organized knowledgeable and recommended the best place to eat. The island is very addictive a lot of great finds

    Service your engine!

    Tammy_H, Mar 2026
The Sea Glass island was fun. Getting there and back was a challenge. The motor stalled five times on the way…we eventually got there with gas coming out of the engine as the fuel Line leaked. It stalled on the way back and to no avail would it start. 30 Minutes later after trying to repair it WE paddled the boat back. Take the kayak tour….it works.

    Response from Host, Jun 2026

We are glad to hear you enjoyed Sea Glass Island itself. However, we would like to provide some clarification regarding the boat transfer. The vessel used for this excursion is a small dinghy specifically designed for the shallow waters surrounding the island. Unlike larger tour boats, these vessels occasionally require minor adjustments due to marine conditions, saltwater exposure, and the shallow environment in which they operate. At no point was guest safety compromised. While there may have been a temporary delay during the transfer, the boat remained under the captain’s control throughout the excursion. We also want to clarify that Sea Glass Island is a short distance from shore, which is why the tour is offered both by boat and by kayak. The boat transfer is intended to provide guests with a quick and convenient way to access the island rather than a large-boat sightseeing experience. While we understand the delay was frustrating, we believe this review overstates the situation and does not accurately reflect the nature of the vessel being used for a short island transfer.

JR and his team is who you want!!!

    Melisa_R, Mar 2026
JR and his crew were absolutely amazing! JR was easy to reach on the phone and was extremely accommodating. He gave us a lot of information and recommendations about the island. The entire team was extremely friendly and I would absolutely recommend this company to take care of you on your Seaglass hunting day!!!

    Great sea glassing

    Alissa_S, Mar 2026
It was great! Bring water bottles and wear sunscreen. They provided collection bags and metal rakes to dig with.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad you had a great time and appreciate the helpful tips—bringing water and sunscreen is definitely the way to go! ☀️💧 Happy to hear the collection bags and rakes made your sea glass hunt even more fun. We hope you found some beautiful pieces! Thanks again for joining us, and we’d love to have you back anytime!

    Glass galore!

    Alan_G, Mar 2026

Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

    Never again

    Kay_V, Mar 2026
You are going to get very wet on your ride out only a rubber raft brings you out. You side on the sides

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for your feedback. The ride to the island is done by rubber raft, so getting wet is expected as part of the experience. This is an adventurous, nature-based tour rather than a luxury boat excursion, and we aim to make that clear in our description. We appreciate you joining us and sharing your thoughts.

    transport/boat unreliable

    AnnM_M, Mar 2026
this company was late picking us up from the meet up location after we arrived 30 minutes early and had to call 3 times before someone actually picked us up though it was NOT a marked transport vehicle....it was a dirty black broken down truck with no A/C and the driver did not have any of our information. We reluctantly went with him, but really felt unsafe. When we got there they put us in an inflatable boat with an engine that kept dying out. 3 times the engine went out!!! the same thing happened on way back. The only good thing that happened is that we did get some beautiful sea glass, but i would hesitate to use this company again!

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Thank you for your feedback. However, several points in this review are inaccurate and require clarification. First, our driver arrived to the pickup location and had the guest names for the reservation. Transportation vehicles used for tours in Aruba are not always branded, but they are authorized to transport guests. Our drivers also communicate directly with guests if there are any delays. The tour itself did operate as scheduled and guests were successfully transported to and from Sea Glass Island. At no point was there any unsafe situation during the tour. Small marine engines can occasionally require restarting, but this does not mean the boat is unsafe or “broken down.” The boat completed the tour without incident and safely returned all guests. We also want to note that despite the claims made in this review, the guests did complete the experience and were able to enjoy collecting sea glass on the island. While we always appreciate feedback, we cannot support statements that misrepresent the safety or operation of the tour. Our team runs this experience regularly for many satisfied guests.
