Don't miss this adventure!

Susan_S, Nov 2025
We loved this adventure. The guides were amazing: knowledgeable, kind, fun, safety-minded, and thought of everything, including tools to dig for sea glass, bags, fruit and water. The kayaking was easy and we did not have to go far. It was awesome to see a different part of Aruba. Sea Glass Island is amazing, we loved the coral, rocks and there was loads of interesting sea glass for us to discover.

Sea glass disaster

Tereasa_K, Oct 2025
I was not asked where to be picked up for this excursion. I read the 3 pick up spots a hotel the airport or cruiseport. I went to the I love aruba sign 45 min before tour as instructed no one came we had port security call because we could not get an answer. They finally answered told us we had to get our our ride because they had been trying to contact us for pick up point. This was booked last minute as our cruiseship was late. I feel like the pick up point should have been asked at booking and not an after thought. This must be very new after we paid 40 to get to the sea ramp we were met by a young man waiting in his car who very well could have picked us up. The tour over all was nice but sketchy as we were the only ones. The sea glass is there and our guide luis was very kind. But this is very new and overpriced for what you get. I paid for transportationi did not recieve i was offered a hot and i mean hot bottle of water. Arubu is hot. No snacks and luis is limited on english but very kind. and young. I trusted viator and i wont again 302 cruises and never had a mix up like this or poor excursion for the money. Luis called someone to pick us up to go to the ship. And i was picked up in a new black van by 2 men. The van was new but smelled like marijuana. I know i am in a different country but never has this happened. They are supposed to be professionals. Did i get seaglass yes but what happened at the ship? Well its not allowed its not sanitized 270.00 and cruise ship wont allow it back on board! Well that was a large waste of money that wont happen again. I have had better luck getting off the ship and getting a tour or using the cruise ship tours. This is a money grab of a deal very unprofessional all the way around.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear Tereasa, I’m very surprised by your comments because I personally spoke with you on the phone while you were at the cruise terminal, and your description of events does not reflect what actually happened. When you made the booking on Viator, you did not select a pick-up location, which is a required step. We sent you multiple messages through Viator and tried calling you several times before the tour to confirm where to pick you up, but there was no response. About 20 minutes before the scheduled time, you called for the first time, claiming you had been waiting for 45 minutes — but that was actually at the exact time of pick-up. Even though the situation was caused by the missing pick-up information, I still offered you a private tour, which you agreed to join. I clearly explained that, since you booked last minute and didn’t confirm your location, our regular transport could not include you on the route, but we would arrange to bring you back to town after the tour — which we did. Regarding transportation, the person who picked you up was the owner of the VIP transportation company, not “two men” as mentioned. The van used was a new, clean, and professional vehicle that’s part of our standard fleet. It seems that this confusion came from an error during your booking process, not from our operations. Our company has many verified 5-star reviews from guests who received excellent service and professional tours. Your review gives a misleading impression of our company and the situation. The issue was entirely due to the missing pick-up selection on your end, and despite that, we still provided you with a private guided experience and return transportation. Respectfully, Jorge Owner & Manager

Nice way to watch sunset

veronika_j, Oct 2025
Not at all a strenuous exertion, 10 min max of kayaking but very nice , chill activity combing through colorful sea glass while the sun sets

Fun times finding sea glass!

Great experience, guide...

Great experience, guide was excellent Would recommend it to anyone looking for a new experience. You need to supply your own bags to carry all your treasures .

Amazing tour and island

Allison_B, May 2025
Right from the start, Jason was so kind and knowledgeable. He made sure we were comfortable, and able to safely kayak to the island, and also gave us a lot of information about the area and seaglass. Also the local mangos were so delicious. Upon arrival to the island, I was shocked that the WHOLE island is covered. We even were able to find red sea glass, which I’ve never found before. It was a bucket list item for me, and my husband also had so much fun even thought he’s not a sea glass collector. I would do this again in a heartbeat, and I feel it’s worth the price. As someone who has been to Aruba for over a decade, this is such a unique experience. Highly recommend this!

Amazing trip

crystal_r, Mar 2025
Nathan was a perfect attentive tour guide he came equipped with a dry bag for our phones and told us exactly how and where to look for the best sea glass, although the entire island is COVERED LOL there is no shortage but it was a sweet kayak ride and we were there for a perfect sunset

Sea glass collectors dream!!

Dawn_H, Mar 2025
Perfect in every way!! If you don’t get to kayak with Princess the white lab then you aren’t kayaking at all!! Our tour guides were amazing, very kind and always keeping an eye on the group! The kayaking itself was extremely relaxing! Make sure to wear sturdy water shoes as a-lot of the island is very rocky. I would do this again in a heartbeat!!

Excellent

Lolita_V, Mar 2025
This was such a great experience. I’m so happy that I was able to adventure this tour with such great tour guides who were so helpful and and caring. They came to check in with us while we searched for treasures and also had Princess (dog) as our guide. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Sea Glass Island Kayak Tour

Charles_T, Feb 2025
JR our tour guide could not be nicer. He was very familiar with Sea Glass Island and was very informative.

Seaglass Island

Nicole_M, Feb 2025
Our guide Jason was friendly and informative. He took very good care to explain and ensure that two very inexperienced kayakers made it to and from the island was a wealth of knowledge about the islands, history and culture and growth, as well as showing us the Seaglass Island. It was a beautiful experience.

If you love sea glass this is a must!

Elizabeth_H, Feb 2025
Short kayak to the island. Spend about 90 minutes searching for the sea glass. There is SO much sea glass there. It’s incredible.

Sea glass experience

Dave_P, Jan 2025
If you’re into sea glass this will be an adventure you’ll want to experience. Be prepared to dig for the more unique pieces

Sea Glass Heaven!

seth_l, Jan 2025
This is a sea glass collectors heaven. I’ve never seen a beach that is 90% sea glass. The experience was awesome and our guide was informative and fun. Worth every penny for a once in a lifetime experience.

Not To Be Missed

Garrett_S, Jan 2025
Our tour guide was as excited to search for seaglass as we were. He is quite knowledgeable about local conditions and also quite the seaglass hunter himself. When he found special pieces, he actually gave them to us. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves the seaglass adventure and all it entails. Bring your water shoes.

Fun times!

Jane_P, Dec 2024
Tour was on time and at a leisurely pace. Friendly and helpful. Guide had lots of local knowledge. Thank you!

It was a good experience...

lea_g, Dec 2024
It was a good experience just the value was not there for the price. We made memories and it was an experience just pricey.

Amazing for my sea glass people!

Rachele_M, Dec 2024
Loved seeing another part of Aruba. The little barge/island was full of sea glass. Most was green and brown (likely given the color of their beer bottles) but was tons and tons of sea glass to collect. Philip was very hospitable - told us about the island and facts around Aruba. The kayak ride was very short so doable for amateurs. Would highly recommend for any sea glass lover!

Amazing beach glass hunting ground

chacomom, Nov 2024
Mainly green and white, some brown/yellow, and a smattering of blue glass - on this shoal that is 50%-60% beach glass.

Not worth $260.00

Susan_D, Oct 2024
Wasn't what I expected. Had to go around some rough terrain where at times it was difficult with the waves bashing at you and not worth the $260.00 to only find brown and white sea glass. Didn't stay out to really see the sunset and were in pretty quickly.

Another hidden gem in Aruba!

Amy_H, Oct 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking adventure to sea glass island. Philip was amazing.... Very personable, caring and knowledgeable about Aruba and sea glass island. Philip gave us quick tutorial on kayaking basics and made sure we were good the whole time we were with him. If you're considering this one, wear a bathing suit (you will get wet from the waves) and water shoes that can handle walking on coral because the island is covered in it and don't forget a bag to left your sea glass in!

Good and unique experience

Richard_L, Oct 2024
Great experience. Phillipe was outstanding. Extremely thoughtful, professional and sensitive to different levels of experience in kayaking abilities. It was a little windy but very negotiable across the bay. Once on the island there's enough glass for everyone. Various colors and textures. Would recommend to anyone that loves sea glass or wants a unique couple of hours. Everyone had a good time. Thanks again Phillipe

Wonderful experience

Rhonda_C, Oct 2024
Amazing time!! The tour guides were wonderful. The amount of sea glass is unreal! The kayaking was a lot of fun as well.

Perfect day!

Shauna_C, Sep 2024
Philip was a great host. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Had a great time and plan to do it again! Highly recommended!

Amazing tour

Melissa_R, Jul 2024
This tour was amazing!!! So educational with island history and the sea glass was stunning. I definitely recommend and will book again!

Sea Glass Everywhere!!

Shannon_W, Jul 2024
This was such a cool experience. As those that love sea glass this was an awe inspiring experience. We had Rambo as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the areas history and very hospitable. Definitely recommend Rambo for future trips. Everywhere you looked there was a ton of sea glass. Don’t worry about not filling a bag, you 100% will find enough. Sea glass for days. We will be coming back for sure to add to our collection.

Fun in the Sun

Jessica_P, Jun 2024
Fantastic experience, a must-do while visiting! We had fun searching through the glass and finding collectibles to take home.

Hidden Gem

Ivy_C, May 2024
I enjoy kayaking and beachcombing so this was a perfect combination of activities for this tour. Our guide Phillip gave us a refresher on kayaking before taking us out to the island. The kayaking was super easy so this tour is also great for beginner kayakers. Once the island Phillip gave us a quick history of Aruba, Sea Glass Island, and showed us the spots for sea glass. The sea glass was so abundant it was difficult to decide which pieces to collect; we did find some rare colors of red, cobalt blue, light blue, turquoise, yellow, and orange.

What a magical little island experience!

Tracey_Z, May 2024
Seaglass island is covered - literally covered - with gorgeous little beach glass pebbles - it’s truly magical and a great experience for the treasure hunter in all of us! It’s a great way to bring beach combing memories of Aruba home with you, as it is illegal to take sand, shells and coral off the island. Our guide Phillip was the absolute best!! Professional, knowledgeable, funny and a skilled guide and kayaker. He really made our entire experience! Just a few caveats to know before you go: 1) Wear / bring hard soled water shoes - think Keens or Teevas, Crocks, Adidas Slides, etc. Your feet will thank you. The island is made up of medium to largish rounded rocks. We wore soft soled water shoes and our feet were a bit sore in the moment. But definitely do not go barefoot!! 2) Bring a fine mesh bag - like for washing lingerie or delicates - it’s a great way to collect the beachglass for brining home. 3) Be aware that the channel that you’ll need to cross via kayak can be a little choppy and windy, so wear the life vest, bring a fanny pack to secure your small valuables (keys, phone, glasses) and don’t be surprised if you get a little bit wet! Overall it’s an incredible experience, we gathered a large bag of gorgeous sea glass to bring home to friends, family and for art projects! Excellent experience and we can’t wait to return on our next visit!

Fun, educational, easy!

Adele_S, May 2024
The island is full of sea glass. The day we went the water was like glass which made the kayak trip so easy and enjoyable. Our guide shared his knowledge of the history of the island and of all of Aruba. I would highly recommend this trip.
