It is a long day of travelling between sites, but gives you a good look at the different towns in the Eastern Algarve. Paulo, our guide, did a great job!

A fantastic way to see the Eastern portion of the Algarve! The vehicle was comfortable with only 4 people. There was 1 stop to pickup another traveller outside of Albufeira which made the day a little longer. Our Guide/driver André was kind, personable and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and was only too happy to share. We had lots of time to explore the towns with tips about what to look for and how to maximize the experience.

It was great to see Faro, Olhão and Tavira. We had about an hour free time in each city plus an extra hour for lunch (in our case in Olhão). Our guide, André, spoke excellent English and picked us up on time.

We were picked up at our hotel, travelled to Old Faro, salt flats, Olhao fishing port,, Trevira and finally Visa Nova de Cacela all along the Estuary. Our guide, Andreas, made trip exceptional. He explained the history in detail and answered any questions we had. Thank you Andreas 👏

We really enjoyed this tour especially because of our tour guide Andre! Andre was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Eastern Algarve. He was friendly, patient and also a safe driver. We felt very comfortable throughout and he made the tour very engaging. We visited Faro, Olhao, Tavira and Cacela Velha. Each location had its unique charm. I highly recommend this tour.

Our driver tour guide I think his name was Andrew might have got the name wrong - tour date 15/10 very professional and knowledgeable. He was patient despite the harsh weather condition he maybe it still enjoyable and safe

I had booked the Eastern Algarve Finest tour, however the day before I received a phone call to explain that due to low numbers, the trip was not going to run and could I go a day later. This wasn't suitable for me, so I was offered the Historic Tour instead.
Paolo, my driver/guide picked me up promptly from my hotel. He is friendly, knowledgeable and kind. We went to collect the other guests, in total there were 5 people on the trip, so we received personal attention from Paolo who was keen to ensure that we all enjoyed the day.
I certainly did! It is a lot of driving, however this means you get to see a lot of the countryside away from the hotels and restaurants along the coast.
Portugal is beautiful. We visited the towns of Silves and Lagos, with time to have a wander round and also the highest point in the Algarve and the furthest west corner
It was cloudy at the highest point on the day of our trip, so unfortunately we couldn't see the view from the top, however we did get to see it on the way down
I'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see a bit of what Portugal is like away from the hotels and beaches of the coast

We were four friends on the tour and the tour felt more like a taxi ride to different places. The driver was courteous and forthcoming, but the tour itself on the boring side. We were always dropped off near shops and restaurants, but we wanted to see and feel the regions. Overall, I would not recommend. We had also booked the Full Day Guided Tour Historical Algarve Finest, but because of our experience, we cancelled it.

A tour of the eastern Algarve region has largely improved our understanding its rich history beginning from Roman occupation. The architecture and landscape of each characterises the culture of people who dominated the land throughout the centuries. I loved the experience.

Alsafari tours cancelled the tour for Feb. 13 and did not notify us. I have spoken with Viator. I was told I would be receiving a refund and it has not happened. I am quite disgusted. I shall be calling Viator again.

Great day trip experience. Benny is a great guide and full of historical facts and stories. The timing of the various stops was good at each town. Bonus: on the way back we were treated to Fado music complete with Benny singing along. Delightful way to spend a day.
