My husband and I would definitely recommend this trip. Our guide Carlos provided entertaining company and was very knowledgeable. It was a small and unhurried tour, which gave us plenty of time to learn about the vineyards and their wines, and to get to know our fellow travellers. We have been on other wine tours, but this was by far the best.

It was so much fun!! Our tour guide Joao was very knowledgeable. We learned details of the cork industry here in Portugal. Time in Silves was enough to tour the castle and have lunch in between visiting two wineries. Staff at the wineries were welcoming and professional sharing information on the various wines we sampled. It was a great adventure. We met two Brits who added to the laughter during our day. Absolute pleasure seeing the terrain along the way.

Our guide, Joao, was extremely knowledgeable of the area being a local and of the wine process. It was fascinating to learn cork came from oak trees and the types of wine bottles used.

An excellent day with free time in the charming town of Silves and visits to two beautiful small wineries where we sampled three very good wines with meats and cheese in beautiful surroundings. Our guide, Joao was very informative, both about the wine and about the area. A very worthwhile and enjoyable day.

Don’t hesitate to book this tour! Our guide Carlos was wonderful! We learned so much about the entire wine making process. We had a small group of 7.. met some wonderful people from different countries..the wineries were great too!

A wonderful day of visiting the Silves area. Our first stop was a family owned winery that if you ever had a vision of what a European winery should look like, this would be it. Rows upon rows of vines on rolling hills makes for a most picturesque setting. Staff there was so friendly. We were taken on tour of the production area by our very knowledgeable Algarving Tours guide Carlos. He had excellent insights of the local wine industry.
Our next stop was at Silves. Free time to see the town, enjoy lunch and explore a Moor era castle. This was time well spent.
Our final stop was at a municipal owned winery. A nice winery that shows how a well run non family operation can produce wines that are as good as old generational wineries. Friendly staff to treat us to their selection and offerings.
This was a great day and again, Carlos our tour guide was so very knowledgeable of everything on this tour and always more than happy to answer questions.

Don’t drink any wine at your lunch because there’s more than enough to drink at the two vineyards. You get snacks too with the wine samples

We had an absolutely fantastic day with João. The two wineries we went to on our tour were exquisite; every wine we tasted was a hit. But in between sips of wine, João taught us so much about the winemaking process and the history of the Algarve. In between the wineries, he took us to the top of Salves and gave us some history of the town and the castle, which we toured on his suggestion. João even pulled over towards the end of the day and picked lemon tree leaves for us to smell. He had a great sense of humor and gave our tour a very personal and intimate feel. We had a fantastic day and highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves wine and learning and wine (and everything else about the Algarve)!

The Tour guide, Carlos, was very knowledgeable about the wine making, all the different trees we encounter along the way and gave us a lot of information about Portuguese heritage.

Our guide, Carlos, was great, picking us up from our hotel and skillfully navigating us and the other 5 members of the group to our destinations. We learned a lot about wine making in the Algarve and enjoyed tastings at two relatively new wineries. One thing we learned is that wine production in Algarve has undergone some changes in the last couple of decades, so if you're wanting to taste Vinho Verde or Port, you're in the wrong region of Portugal! :-)
