Beginning at the hidden gems Burgau and Salema, you'll fall in love with their rustic charm and resplendent beaches. Next up is Lagos where you'll be guided through the Mercado Municipal, Marina and Meia Praia before heading to Sagres, where the once most powerful lighthouse in Europe stands, at the place known as the "end of the world", the most south-westerly point in Europe, Sao Vicente.

Our tour was of the western Algarve with Johnny’s Tour. It was an excellent tour. Johnny was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the geography and cultural history of the Algarve.
Johnny took us to places most tours do not travel, such as back streets of Salema and Burgau. We highly recommend Johnny’s Tour of the Western Algarve.

We spent an amazing day with Johnny touring the Western Algarve region. Johnny was fantastic, his knowledge and love for his home region is clearly evident. He always had great ideas and knew places to visit that weren’t just your typical tourist locations., but he made sure we got to see those as well. We spent the day seeing some of the most beautiful sights in the world with Johnny. He was passionate about the Algarve and shared so much knowledge with us. Johnny our tour guide was wonderful. You could not ask for a more fun and educational experience. We had a fantastic tour of the Algarve with Johnnys Tours. It is indeed a private tour - it was just me and my husband. Since we only had 1 full day in the Algarve, Johnny made sure that we saw the highlights. He also took pics of the sites we saw and sent them to us the next day. I highly recommend this tour! I booked Johnny and had the absolute best time in Algarve! He made sure to communicate, based the tour on our preferences, and showed us how beautiful Algarve is.
We visited the most beautiful areas, where he was more than happy to capture our amazing Instagram content for my friend and me. Furthermore, unlike other guides, he gave us the option to choose our day and showed us the best restaurants in the area, simply more than we expected, before dropping us off to enjoy Albuferia (an added bonus!). We had such a splendid, magical day we got a tattoo to remember it.
Would recommend doing the added boat tour.

We had a great tour with Johnny through the Western Algarve. We are so happy he recommended doing the boat trip in Lagos - it was a great start to the tour. We loved the trip to the local market and a walk through the town of Lagos. We had a delicious lunch at Fernanda's - delicious sardines and fish stew. We got to see the 'end of the world' at Cape Sagres which was spectacular. And we saw a secret beach in Portugal that we would have never found on our own - we just wish we had more time there but there is just too much to see Portugal! We would definitely reach out to Johnny again for another tour!
