What are people saying about Netherlands

Bluebird Day did not disappoint!
You can’t pick the weather, but we had blue skies, 7C/44F, and an awesome guide named Richard. Amsterdam is a gorgeous city, but the countryside is a different experience. The history comes to life, the relationship between land and water. Why the people care about their collective wellbeing (they’ve been flooded too many times, and have to work together). You can drive it alone, and miss the stories that bring it to life. Walking the brick streets of hamlets, learning why monks build a monetary on a sand bar, and discovering how amazing mini-pancakes with whip cream and fruit can be. Richard was fantastic. Kind, smart, and willing to banter and joke around. He’s like that favorite cousin or nephew you enjoy hanging out with at the holidays (and shares his love of this country and the complexities faced in a modern inclusive country). Excellent guide and an amazing day.

Tour full of food experiences!
Highly recommend this tour, but be sure to come hungry because you start tastings shortly after the start of the tour. I was skeptical about trying the pickled herring, but it was actually good. I envisioned a sardine/fishy taste but it wasn’t fishy at all. Out of the 10 tastings, I liked the grilled cheese sandwich the best, and it was half a sandwich! Wonderful tour and our guide, Roman, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area.

A beautiful place to visit
Small group, very good guide, comfortable mini van for transport to and from. All interesting and really enjoyed but a few thing to be aware of: quite a bit of walking at a fairly quick pace as all things are actually at the one stop (I coped even with arthritis), and wouldn't be pleasant in bad weather. No time opportunity to buy food as quite rushed.

This is a special experience
Arrive early. After 10a, it becomes very crowded. There were areas to sit which I appreciated. The staff was warm and welcoming. Be patient. It often takes a few minutes to see the paintings due to the crowd size. The beauty of the artwork is only overshadowed by the story of the man.

Netherlands tours focus on art museums, history, waterways, and natural landscapes in a country known for its vibrant cities and natural beauty. Along with dozens of expert-led Amsterdam explorations, you can find Netherlands tours that showcase the small country’s windmills, porcelain, and tulips fields in spring, or more food-focused excursions that let you sample smoked sausage, creamy Gouda, pickled herring, stroopwafels, and plenty of Heineken.
