Tour outside the walls of Rome

First we went to the catacombs for a tour with a Vatican guide. This was very interesting. Then we went to the Appia Antica, the ancient Roman road. We saw the tomb of Cecilia Metella, and learned about her life. Then we went to the aqueducts which supplied fresh water to Rome. It was a great and informative tour.

Wonderful experience

Klir was great, she was very informative along our trip and went out of here way to insure everyone was safe and enjoyed their trip. The trip was incredible, the history of Pompeii made you feel like you were there on that tragic day. Positano was beautiful and be ready for some exercise as you walk everywhere, but you don’t mind because the people are wonderful there. We enjoyed our trip and would recommend it.

Something different and interesting in Rome

This is a different experience to other tours in Rome. It can feel uncomfortable but I found it exciting and interesting. The tour provides multiple times to sit which is awesome after several days of walking all the time through Rome. There story of the guide had a promise at start and a full completion circle at the end. I recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful Vatican tour! Tamara and Deanna were both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Great experience, great views 10/10 recommend

Travelled to montepulchiano and pienza, we stopped at a local vineyard for wine tasting with a 3 course meal (lots of cheese/salami, home made pasta, and dessert). The wine was delicious and the fresh pasta even better. The staff at the vineyard were welcoming and very sweet. Our tour guide Kiara was fantastic. This trip to Tuscany with the views was well worth the full day experience. 10/10 would recommend!! Grazie Kiara and the full staff that were there alone the way today.

Our excursion to the...

Our excursion to the Vatican was wonderful. There were any other groups there and it got a little congested, but our guide would find an open space and hurry us to it. She was great. Every excursion we book through Viator during our European vacation was excellent. We even booked a couple for the next day and a representative was easy to find with our tickets and escorted us to the skip the line entrance. We never had to stand in a long line. Some were with a guide and for others we were on our own. We will definitely continue to use Viator for any of our vacations.

Excellent! Highlight of trip

What an extraordinary experience we won’t forget!! We opted for the 6:30am tour with Marco and Andi who excelled drivers and guides. The early morning ride allowed us to see Rome before the throngs of tourists were afoot. Well worth getting up for early in the morning. Marco is an expert on Rome history. He was able to answer all our questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our guide was from Rome and e remedy knowledgeable. He made the information really interesting even though he says it over and over. His perspective on history was quite refreshing. He was easy to understand and personable. We spent the exact right amount of time in each location. Small groups are the best. In larger groups you wait too long for people to use the bathroom and climb stairs!

We had a great time on this tour. There wasn’t as much walking as we expected, which made it very enjoyable. The stories were fascinating and really brought the history to life. Great guides! I can't recall their names but both guides were extremely educational, knowledgeable, entertaining, and just a great experience overall. It was a bit challenging getting from one tour to the next, and trying to eat lunch as well, but we made it, with 10 minutes to spare.
