The food and the restaurants our guide, Paola were fantastic! The focaccia and the polpo were absolutely amazing, hands down the best polpo I’ve ever tasted! However, what really made this tour rise above others, was Paola! The depth of knowledge of Bari Vecchia she imparted to us in the three hours we spent with her was immeasurable! In addition to the culinary experience, she provided archaeological, historical, cultural, and religious insights too numerous to list. She not only demonstrated her passion for her city and its rich history, but also her day job as a representative for local olive oil mill. Upon departing us for the evening, she provided us with her top three favorite Bari restaurants, which we of course, had to try, and neither of them failed to disappoint!

Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the region and presented the tour in a very orderly fashion. He was very courteous and made the tour completely enjoyable. He spoke very good English. Nice Cooking class in Bari

Was a very informative and hands on cooking class. Learned how to use a manual pasta machine. We made 2 different kinds of pasta and one terimisu. Our tagliatelle pasta was served to us in a red marinara sauce and our other pouch pasta was served with a white sage sauce (was out of this world) then came our terimisu. We were given Prosecco during the class, which was a nice plus. The chef and his assistant were very knowledgeable and experienced. I found this class to be a very nice learning experienceand easy for solos. *Wish they had handouts instead of QR code for the recipes.

Vincenzio was an...

Vincenzio was an excellent chef, teacher, story teller. His passion for preserving the old Italian ways were clear throughout the day. He was patient, offering individual advice as we all learned a new skill. The ending meal was fabulous. I would highly recommend this, but it is important to note it is not in a home. It is in a cooking school right on one of the main streets of Polignano a mare - super easy to find.

Great small Boat tour bigger isn't always better!

At first I was disappointed with the size of the boat there was 8 of us aboard, but it worked out fantastic. Our Skipper was able to manoeuvre our boat right into the caves where the bigger boats couldn't go, he was very skilled working with the waves. We enjoyed our drinks and nibbles and listening to the skippers commentary.

If I could give this tour more than 5 stars, I would! The tour is fully customizable, and our wonderful guide (Gabry) was very knowledgeable and made recommendations that helped us choose the perfect day for us. We visited Alborabello and Locorotondo, two beautiful towns, and he was able to explain the history and get around like a local. He even arranged a wine tasting/lunch for us. Highly recommend!

5 stars does not feel like it's strong enough. Rating for this company period if you are lucky enough to get raphael. As your guy, you will have a day that you will never forget period his energy enthusiasm and love for people shines through in everything. He does period he makes sure that everyone has a good time and feels included every step of the way and gives you all of the information you could ever want about the areas you're exploring period someone in our group had a mobility issue, and raphael took his time to make sure that person was able to get in and out and accommodated in every place that we stopped. He was a true gem. We would suggest this to anyone traveling to Bari. We cannot wait to return to barry next summer to see our friend. Rafael, again and go on another great adventure with him

Great tour, saw the caves, famous beach in Polignano a Mer, anchored and had a lovely swim finishing with prosecco and a snack. Christian was welcoming and funny..he even stopped and let one of the passengers retrieve her sunglasses which she dropped in the cave! Highly recommend for an inexpensive tour!

Had a great day & travel

It was nice, especially Matera. Without the tour it is hard to be so efficient and see 2 in one visit. Would do it again like this. There is plenty of time for both cities. Alessia was super nice and supportive from alberobello till the end, while the guide from Matera (pascuale i believe) was one of a kind! Great job, both of you! The weather was not our friend (super hot in aug), be prepared with water and at least a cap :) the transport was great, clean AC etc.

Amazing experience in Bari May 2026

An absolutely AMAZING experience! We had the chance to make foccacia from scratch, which tasted incredible when out of the oven. We made orecchiette from scratch as well, and Marika showed us the technique to make them, which we then got to practice. It’s harder than it looks! There was an English translator but everyone in our group spoke a bit of Italian. It was wonderful and we enjoyed every second of it. You definitely need to do this when you visit Bari!

Must do trip in Polignano a Mare

The coastline of Polignano a Mare is full of caves. It is magnificent. This cruise left from the harbour a few kms out of town and traveled along the coast going right in to lots of the caves. The captain was a very skilled driver who navigated the boat in to tight spaces. We loved the outing. We were unfortunate that the weather was cloudy and a bit cold on the day of our trip so we did not swim. But on a beautiful sunny day, the swim stop would have been incredible. I think this is a must do activity whilst in Polignano a Mare. The caves are not claustrophobic if you are worried (as I was)
