Fun time in Old Bari!
This tour is very fun! Not as much walking as I thought. You see the important parts of old Bari and get some history behind it as well. This tour did not have any ear piece to “hear” the guide better……. Which I LOVED. The guide Chaira (hopefully spelled correctly) told us to get close and we could hear her just fine!
We added the pasta experience and it was a blast!!! Got to try the authentic Bari pasta from a resident of Bari. And she was super kind and welcoming!! Highly recommend to add that experience !

Cooking Fun!
This was an unbelievably FUN experience! It was exciting to learn the proper technique for making the famous orecchiette found all over Puglia. The instructions were clear and the atmosphere was inviting. Then we got to enjoy it afterwards, which was a treat. I highly recommend it! There are so many cooking classes to choose from around the area, and I would book this one without hesitation! :)

Modified your was still great.
We booked the bike tour, but were asked to move to time that didn't work. We did the identical walking food tour (with Anna) and took a bike out later for a self ride. That worked out well. The food was characteristic of Bari and delicious. 2 glasses of wine too. And our bike riding was at our quicker pace! Velo tours is a great outfit. Everyone was friendly and helpful. 5 stars.

The perfect authentic cooking experience
This was the best way to get to know genuine local cuisine in Bari. We were graciously invited into Annarita’s home, joined by her daughter and mother, and cooked a delicious asparagus pasta (with orecchiette) and tomato sauce. Homemade focaccia, bruschetta, potatoes, wine, limoncello, and more were provided. It was clear so much care and attention were put into preparing for this meal. The family were so kind and made us feel so welcome into their home, taught us some new dishes, and made this such a special part of our trip.

A must-do experience! Absolutely wonderful!
This was the highlight of our trip so far! Anita’s hospitality was top-notch and the food was out of this world. The directions to find the place were spot on and there is a parking garage right around the corner if you do end up driving like we did. Just check on Google Maps. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this experience and it wasn’t until afterwards that my husband shared with me he had been leery when I first booked it but was very glad we did it. Anita made us feel right at home and she was extremely patient with us while we attempted to create the little pieces of pasta. The spread she put out for us to eat was extensive and way more than we could finish. The focaccia was so delicious and the best I have ever eaten. Anita kept up the conversation while we worked by telling us stories of the region and sharing her own experience and that of her grandmother from whom she learned how to make pasta from. If you are on the fence about whether to do this or not, then let this be the push that gets you to do it. You will not be disappointed!

Best excursion of our trip!
This was the highlight of our cruise trip around the Adriatic. Frederica was so lovely and helpful and Merica (sorry for spelling!) was so good at demonstrating to us. Because we were off-season, we ended up just being the two of us in the kitchen and after a few minutes it felt like being home around the kitchen table, swapping stories and learning about Bari and traditions of the area while making orecchetti and eating the focaccia straight from the oven. The little kitchen is intimate, and we handled all the ingredients, had all our questions answered, and learned so much about the food of this region. The food and wine we ate and drank was incredible and we left so full and happy. I am so glad we booked it.

Fun, relaxed trip highlight!
We had a great night! The cooking was fun, the food simple and delicious!
We felt very comfortable and welcome in a beautifully renovated home in Bari old town. The evening was very relaxed and informative with conversation about the local area, local food and places to visit.
A trip highlight, Highly recommend!

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to meet local folks in Bari, this class is wonderful.
Do not miss this experience. This was the highlight of our three week trip to southern Italy. Christiana takes you in to her home as a guest. She and her 88 year old mother taught us how to make two kinds of pastas, two sauces for the pastas, and home made cream sauce for the cream puffs we made for dessert. All the while the elder woman was telling us about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. This was like visiting the Italian relatives you didn’t know you had. After dessert we enjoyed three potent digestives that the elder woman had made from fennel, lemon, and tangerine. When we left Christiana called a taxi for us and escorted us out to the taxi to make sure the driver had the proper address for our destination. If you want to feel like you have experienced the real Bari, this is the thing you should do.
