What are people saying about Munich

Our initial choice with...
Our initial choice with Viator was to take a trip to Eagles Nest, however, it was burned down the day before our travel. We quickly called Viator and they canceled and refunded our money immediately and then we rebooked for Salzburg. Booking completed on the ap and all this took between the call and the booking about 20 min. The office in Munich was easy to find, reception person extremely friendly. It was predicted to rain all day which didn't stop the 18 people who went on this tour. Susan was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and thorough. Took us through a walking tour of Salzburg first then we had 2.5 hours or so on our own. Our train had a snafu and didn't leave on time but she kept us apprised of what was going on. It was a long day, but despite the weather very enjoyable and it was a pleasure to meet people from other countries on this tour. I'm sure the train ride would have been gorgeous had it been a lovely day but we can't control the weather.

What a trip! Everyone should go and visit the castles
Would thoroughly recommend any one with a spare day. Doing this tour. The company were excellent, picked up on time and even picked up passengers that were late for another tour . Elizabeth, our tour guide was excellent as well as our bus driver was very safe and courteous.

Excellent tour, would highly recommend
Our tour guide Deyse and our driver Vladi were both welcoming and informative. I learned a lot from Deyse’s narration so I knew something about what we were going to be seeing at each stop. The bus snacks were delicious and the seats were very comfortable. Thank you for making a memorable visit to the Bavarian castles!

Interesting and timely
If you are interested in learning about how the Nazis came to power, and you enjoy learning about history in general, then this is a good tour for you. Our guide Sam did a great job of taking a rather serious subject and making it interesting and informative, while we visited a number of locations with key historical importance to the Nazi movement. The parallels between the political movements in the 1920s and 1930s, and our modern times are striking. The tour covers about 2 1/2 miles so be prepared to walk and to keep up. Also be prepared for the weather, since it rained on and off the whole time of our tour. Sam did a nice job, would definitely recommend taking this tour with him.

From beer hall-hopping to World War II history and food-tasting at the Christmas markets, Munich tours run the gamut of Bavarian history and heritage. Exploring the city can be done on foot, by bike, by Segway, or on a hop-on hop-on bus, and guided visits can show you a side of town only locals get to see. Most day and multi-day tours of Bavaria start from Munich, so there’s plenty to experience beyond the city limits, too. Immerse yourself in the fairy-tale scenery of Neuschwanstein Castle, visit medieval villages along the Romantic Road, or venture deep into the Bavarian Alps.
