Nuremberg Tour - A Great Way to See Old Town Nuremberg and Experience World War II History
We highly recommend the Nuremberg Old Town and Nazi Rally Grounds tour. We met our excellent guide, Hannes, at the Munich train station upon arrival from Frankfurt for the two part tour. In the morning, we toured the Old Town, which was originally a walled town divided by the Pegnitz River. We stopped at the Town Hall, Town Square with the Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) and Church of Our Lady. We then walked up to the Castle at the top of the hill. We had a quick lunch at Bratwursthausle, home of the small Nuremberg Bratwursts, which were excellent as was the Franconia red bier. After lunch, we headed to the Nazi Rally grounds via bus. This part of the tour was somber and sobering as Hannes walked us past the Hall of Honor, parade grounds and Congress building while sharing the history and heinous acts of the Nazi regime. He shared that in the 1970’s mandatory education about this period became mandatory in German schools, so that future generations never forget. This was a comprehensive sightseeing and history tour, which should not be missed.

History Lesson
If you’re a history buff, you would enjoy this tour.
Our guide, Darius, picked us up at our hotel exactly when he said he would. There were only two others on the tour. Darius adjusted the schedule so we could be at the Palace of Justice in time to see a presentation in courtroom 600. After the presentation, there was still about an hour to go through the museum on your own.
The next stop was where the rallies were held. Darius gave us about a thirty minute history lesson, which started to get a little long, since we stood the whole time, but I understand he was trying to give a thorough background of how the Nazis came to power. The other stops were shorter, but still informative, since he showed us pictures of what the stadiums and grounds looked like back in the 30s.

Outstanding Tour
This was one of the best tours I have been on! Andres was very knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and connected well with everyone on the tour. He made a point of making it inclusive for non-native speakers without oversimplifying it for history buffs. His love of Nuremberg and his excitement to share to share it came through at every stop. Highly recommended!!!

Outstanding Tour: Informative and Powerful
Rob was one of the best, most energetic, and pleasant guides I have had in a long time. I would personally like to thank Rob and his tour company for helping all of us on the tour and making it happen: there was a marathon happening in Nuremberg that day, so Rob was delayed due to the unexpected traffic and road closures. Even getting a taxi was challenging. Nevertheless, the company and Rob contacted us, gave us all lots of assurance and help, and we all got started and had a fantastic tour.
Rob knew a LOT about the Third Reich, Germany and WWII, and he had an excellent booklet of photos which helpfully illustrated his information. One piece of trivia I learned was that Bayer aspirin and the soda Fanta had Nazi origins--and they were my grandmother's favorites. She never took anything but Bayer and adored Fanta--she even drank it at breakfast!
Rob gave us lots of important background information about the important historic spots in Nuremberg. We saw the former documentation center and Nazi rally grounds, the zeppelin field, and finally the Nuremberg Palace of Justice and the famous Courtroom 600. Seeing all these places I have read about in history classes many years ago was so important to me. Rob made it happen and told me a lot about these sights I had either forgotten or never knew. Highly recommended tour--especially the visit to Courtroom 600. The Courtroom 600 tour has a very good cheap (1 euro) audio guide and the information-museum center is quite good too.

3-Hour Tour
This was a great way to see this city and learn about its history. Despite one of the most ridiculous heat waves Europe was experiencing, we enjoyed our tour with Dimitri. There was great communication and flexibility from the tour company beforehand as we asked to adjust and allow for rest breaks during the tour due to the heat and age of my senior parents. There is never enough time to see it all but Dimitri put a great tour together and had great knowledge of the history of the city.

Nuremberg is a lovely...
Nuremberg is a lovely city filled with incredible history and so much to see. Andreas was a fantastic tour guide who came prepared with interesting stories and photo books to illustrate significant events from the past. I was traveling with family with ages ranging from 30s- 80s, and Andreas allowed us to modify our itinerary to accommodate the older travelers. I cannot say enough good things about Andreas' flexibility, warm and pleasant nature, and incredible patience when dealing with all of us, in addition to his deep knowledge of Nuremberg! If you are considering a walking tour of this beautiful city, do yourself a favor and connect with Andreas as your guide. Your trip will be so much richer for it.

Highly Recommended
This tour was exactly what I was looking for, a tour of the old town, river, bridges and a view from the castle. Niklas was very informative, funny and showed he cared about his group. Walking up to the castle could prove challenging for some but Niklas made sure everyone was good. Would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing Nurenberg with Victor!
Excellent tour, informative and well-paced with Victor, a very knowledgeable guide. We covered a lot of ground and several hundred years of history. Nurenberg is an amazing and beautiful city which has to be seen to be believed.
Very highly recommended.

Phenomenal Tour!!!
I had an outstanding experience on this tour. We visited numerous World War II sites, important monuments, and the historic Courtroom 600, which was especially fascinating and errie at the same time.
Even though I was the only person on the tour, the guide still provided a full and engaging experience with an incredible amount of knowledge and detail.
As someone who loves learning about World War II history, I truly appreciated how informed and passionate the guide was. He answered questions thoroughly and shared insights that made each stop meaningful and memorable.
We also stopped at a small food spot by the lake, and the food was absolutely delicious—a perfect addition to an already excellent day.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history, especially World War II history. A truly memorable experience.

Darius is the man! He was...
Darius is the man! He was very personable and able to draw in his audience and explain in a way where people can understand the information he’s trying to convey at all levels. He was fun to talk to and the tour felt very personalized and I would highly recommend booking with him.

So much WWII history in Nuremberg!
Nuremberg is so full of WWII history and our guide, Rob, was extremely knowledgeable on the topic and came prepared with many photos (which he air dropped to us) on his IPhone to show what it looked like in Nazi Germany times. Unfortunately a lot of the Na I buildings and other artifacts have not been well preserved. Rob also did his homework on anecdotal facts about international companies who helped the Nazi during the war. Seeing where the Nuremberg trials took place was a highlight.
