Amazing Tour and Guide!

I cannot recommend this tour enough! We had Ana amazing guide - Eva - who was so knowledgeable about Greek history and the Acropolis. She provided such a thorough tour that left us with so much new knowledge. Highly recommend doing this tour early in the morning, as crowds are not bad and the temperature isn’t super hot. The meeting spot was near the Acropoli metro stop, which makes it easy to get to. If you’ve never been to the Acropolis, this tour is the way to go!

Amazing trip to Athens.

Having visited Greece before, I can honestly say this was one of the best tours I have ever taken. I brought my family with me because I wanted them to experience as much of Athens as possible in just one day, and sometimes that can be difficult to accomplish. However, this tour exceeded all of our expectations. The luxury van was spacious and extremely comfortable. We were a group of 10, and the vehicle accommodated up to 13 passengers, giving everyone plenty of room throughout the day. Our driver was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. He made sure we visited every stop on the itinerary without skipping a single one, despite the number of places we covered. What really made the difference was his attention to detail. At each location, he explained where to go, the best viewpoints, and where to take the most memorable photos. Since it was a private tour, we were able to move at our own pace without feeling rushed. Communication was excellent throughout the day, with clear instructions on pickup locations to avoid delays and smart timing at each attraction to help us avoid the heaviest crowds. If you want to explore Athens efficiently and comfortably in a single day, I highly recommend this tour. It was an amazing experience for our entire family and one that we will remember for years to come. A special thank you to our driver, Nikoc, (Nick) who made this experience exceptional. His professionalism, knowledge, communication, and attention to detail were a big part of why this tour was so enjoyable. Best of Athens Private Tour

Our “Best of Athens Tour” exceeded our expectations! Alexander was a wonderful host for eight hours. His enthusiasm, knowledge of Greek history and excellent driving skills made for an enjoyable day. Alexander started our excursion with all the “bucket list” sites in Athens. He dropped us off at the nearest possible site and gave us tips on how to best use our time. After we toured the site at our own pace, he gave us what would soon be familiar directions, “Call my number, hang up and I will pick you up in two minutes.” Lunch could be anywhere we selected. We requested a true Greek restaurant outside the tourist area. He delivered with a place perfect where he knew the owner who personally explained our dining options. Since this was a private tour Alexander helped us plan the afternoon. We requested going to sites we would need to drive to so we could explore walkable sites on our own the next day in the Plaka area. He delivered with sites only accessible by car - not a group tour bus. Alexander then gave us many ideas on how to spend the next day on our own. Alexander and Viator provided an experience far more valuable than a group tour at approximately half the cost of our cruise lines group tour bus.

Highly recommended tour!

Giannis was our tour guide and he was stand-out the best tour guide we have had on our holiday, where we stopped of at Athens as our port of call on our cruise. He was on top of communications for pickup at the cruise port, tailored our experience and assisted us with our unexpected pharmacy stop too. Very knowledgeable about Athens and had very interesting facts to share. At the end of the trip he dropped us off (at our request) to get possibly the best souvlaki I have eaten, before we headed back to our cruise ship. The tour itself was the private half day experience to see the Acropolis and other major sites. Car was excellent, aircon, and comfortable journey throughout.

Fantastic Experience with Yiannis!

From Pickup to Dropoff, we enjoyed every moment spent with Yiannis! We weren't sure what we were doing or what was coming next, but everything he took us to, showed us was truly enjoyable and fun. His knowledge is amazing and boundless. We learned so much and he was willing to take questions so it wasn't just a speech or so memorized thing. We had Vacious as our you guide. What he didn’t know about Athens is not worth knowing. It was a fantastic tour and included the acropolis and many other sights in Athens plus free time as well The sprinter bus was super as well I wound highly recommend this tour so well organised and professional We got back to the shop with time to spare and right on the door step of the ship

Thank you for assisting visitors like me who respect temples and the cultures that built them. The tiny fish at the thermal spa gave a great natural pedicure. As older traditions are of the people who built those temples, the respectful way of entering and cleansing at a thermal spa made it feel like being in a time capsule and experiencing history and culture in life.

Great tour if you only have a short time to spend in Athens

This was a really nice way to see some of the highlights of Athens if you only have a short time in the city. Beware - the Acropolis is insanely crowded, the marble is slippery, and there were no working bathrooms at the top, which seems to be the status quo. Our Acropolis guide, George, walked so fast and weaved in and out of the crowd like a local, resulting in a few people getting lost by the end of the tour, which was the only downside. Our other guide in the van was great and we loved the walking tour through Athens the best, as she provided a lot of information about the history of the area, current events, and recommended some areas to explore in our free time.

Incredible tour! Our guide and driver Elias was amazing! He was friendly, hospitable, incredibly knowledgeable, and knew the best places to show us all the sights in Athens. The car was also nice and comfortable too. We only had a few hours in the afternoon/early evening to explore Athens the before flying home the next day, and this tour allowed us to see the major sights in comfort and in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you only have a few hours to see all the major sights in Athens.

So well organized. Our tour guide was George and he was amazing. Took time to explain everything, gave people a chance to ask questions. After the tour we wanted to stay in Plaka and he said we could stay and even said if we needed help getting back to the ship to text him and he would help us get transportation back.
