Great way to spend a few hours learning the techniques behind good pizza, dough and gelato. Mersad was an awesome instructor! He answered all questions thoughtfully and thoroughly and was a lot of fun! He was very patient with my million detailed and specific questions. And very patient with my friends with little experience. Great personality that really added to our experience. Highly recommend!!!! And at the end you get to eat delicious pizza and gelato!!!

One of our favorite nights in Rome!! We laughed the entire time!!! Making pizza and then eating pizza was highly enjoyable! Wine and beer were flowing!! Endless pops for the little! Kids had sooo much fun!!!

Low key fun experience

Great experience and a lot of fun. Took my family and another family traveling with us. A low key way to break up the day of constant touring. Mersat knows how to handle a crowd. Giving a lot of knowledge and answering questions, while having a good time with everyone. We are doing a pasta making class elsewhere in Italy and I wanted to squeeze in a pizza making one. I’ve tried before with varying success but honestly feel I learned enough in the class to fix some of the mistakes. Good interactive experience that you can eat and includes making gelato as well.

My wife and I recently took this cooking class in Rome. It was one of the highlights of our trip! The chefs Mara and Marco were fabulous! They taught us the secrets of how to make gelato and authentic Roman pizza dough, which is more involved than you might think. They were totally engaging and made the class enormously rewarding and enjoyable. I highly recommend this class!

We are so glad that we booked this pizza and gelato class. Carla, our chef/instructor was very knowledgeable and entertaining! She expertly explained and demonstrated all about the process of creating and handling the dough. The pizza was delicious. Peter was our gelato instructor. He broke down the steps to making the perfect gelato. There is a big difference between the texture of a good gelato vs a poorly made one. We made a delicious strawberry gelato. Soooo yummy. All in all, we are happy that we took the class. Very cool place. Carla and Peter made it extra special. Oh yeah… and Carla can sing!! 😃

We landed in Rome two hours before entering this kitchen located near the Vatican. We chose an activity to keep us awake and going and it was the right decision. (Although I think Carla, our wonderful host, would have liked to have a more lively and well-rested bunch). First, Carla was wonderful and friendly and a great first impression of the people of Rome. Second, we all learned a lot about the Roman pizza, making the dough, etc. Third, the fresh strawberry gelato that was made was also really interesting. Fourth, it all tasted so good - we each had our own pizzas with various ingredients to our liking. Carla has been in the professional culinary world so she was very informative and extremely friendly. Highly recommend!

I was hesitant at first due to the pricing and duration of this experience, but it was close to our hotel and it was booked last minute. We couldn’t have been more delighted! This was a highlight of our vacation. Learning from a true chef, Gianluca and being able to have conversations in English made this even better! Both Meredith and Gianluca were wonderful hosts and were very accommodating. Trust the chef will show you the “right way” to make the pizza and you won’t be disappointed! Best pizza ever!
