We didn’t know what to expect but had an excellent personalized experience! The communication to know how to meet for the tour was clear and helpful making finding our guide easy after leaving the ship. The van for our group of four was very spacious and clean. Our guide, Asli, was terrific and would highly recommend her! She was very informative about Kusadasi and Ephesus and so friendly! After the Ephesus tour and museum , Asli took us to a rug company where we saw how the Turkish rugs are made. Afterwards, we were served a very delicious Turkish BBQ lunch - more than we could eat! She returned us to the cruise port with plenty of time left for shopping. The entire experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Highly Recommend!

This was one of our many excursions on a two week Mediterranean cruise and was by far one of our favorites. Our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate. My daughter and I were able to thread a piece of a Turkish rug. The amount of work that goes into each rug is absolutely amazing. The lunch we had ok this tour was delicious as well.

The tour guide Aliza and the driver were fabulous! This private tor exceeded our expectations. Aliza was extremely knowledgeable and very thoughtful and caring for us seniors. He was born and raised in the area. We learned so much about Ephesus, the Holy Mary’s home, St John’s Basilica etc. the sites were amazing. He brought us to a neighborhood restaurant for lunch that was not only beautiful with great food but also very reasonable. We highly recommend this tour group!

We had an amazing day...

We had an amazing day exploring Ephesus! Our guide, Ozzy, was professional, punctual, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. We were traveling with young children (2 and 5 yrs), and he went out of his way to make the experience comfortable for our family—stopping in shaded areas when possible, pointing out nearby restrooms, and being patient throughout the tour. The small group size (just 10 people) made the experience feel personal and relaxed. We spent the morning exploring Ephesus, followed by a rug demonstration and a delicious authentic lunch, which was a perfect break before continuing to the House of Mary in the afternoon. The rug presentation was interesting without feeling rushed, and the quality of the rugs was impressive. Lunch was fresh, authentic, and one of the highlights of the day. Overall, this was a well-organized tour with a great balance of history, culture, and comfort. We highly recommend it, especially for families traveling with children.

Inspiring, faith filled, family day in Ephesus

We took this tour as a stop on a Mediterranean cruise. This was, by far, the highlight of the entire 10-day vacation for our family. Our tour guide was Arda, and we could not have asked for a better expert to spend the day with. He spoke excellent English and was thoroughly knowledgeable about every site we saw. The van we rode in was air conditioned and comfortable and the driver was careful. The tour started at Mary's House which was a surprisingly emotional experience that was amazing. Arda allowed us to spend some time in each location exploring on our own, which I appreciated. This kept the tour from feeling rushed. Next stop was Ephesus city which was phenomenal. Arda was extremely knowledgeable about every detail and answered all of our questions. He was also good about finding shade to talk in. (it was quite hot, bring water and fans in summer). After Ephesus, we had lunch at a local restaurant and were served an authentic meal. It was absolutely delicious and there was more than enough food. We got to try all of their local staples like meatballs, chicken skewers, salads, dips, pita, etc. I was hesitant about the stop at the rug shop, as I had read mixed reviews. It was actually fascinating and allowed us a brief glimpse into an industry that has been a staple in Turkey for centuries. We felt no pressure at all to buy a rug. Our last stop was to St. John's Basilica. This was a stop not offered by other tour companies, and part of the reason I chose this tour. It was also a very special site to visit as a Christian, ruins of a first century massive church. Arda went above and beyond all day for us. We expressed interest in seeing a mosque close to the temple of Artemis, and he brought us in for a brief peek. He also took us to a local place for authentic Turkish coffee (which was even stronger than I expected lol). We were back at our port in plenty of time to depart. Overall, this tour was 10/10 and we would recommend it to anyone as a must-do in Ephesus.

The absolute best experience with Tansu!!!

This excursion was PHENOMENAL from the very beginning. Tansu was amazing, kind, and patient!!! As a single mom solo traveling with her family, she made us comfortable from the very first introduction and tailored every detail of our trip to exactly what we wanted and expected. Everyone she introduced us to along the way (carpet makers, leather factory [by request]) were kind and helpful. She not only made us feel safe and returned us to port with plenty of time for more shopping but her knowledge of all the ruins and historic sites was incredible. Her personality was soft and radiating kindness. If you are able to request her, I highly suggest you do so!! Would do this trip 1000x over as Turkey was by far our favorite port stop!!!

Ephesus is Magnificent

We enjoyed our trip. The tour company sent clear directions on how to meet our tour guide. We were able to secure a private tour for our group of seven which was a bonus, allowing us to schedule the day according to the needs of our group. Riza, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in the way he presented the tour. Our favorite part was the tour of Ephesus. Quite magnificent to see the large ruins, especially the library. Our tour included a Turkish lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting the local fare. We would have preferred less time at the Turkish Rug stop, however it was very interesting to see how the rugs were made. Furkan, our driver, did an excellent job being ready to bring us to each location. We would recommend this tour company based on our experience and ask for Riza to be your guide!

Cem is a gem!

Cem (pronounced “gem”) was an excellent tour guide! He was friendly and knowledgeable. We visited Ephesus and toured the ancient city and terrace houses, which should not be missed! We added a stop at the House of the Virgin Mary, and Cem and the tour company were easy to work with in making the change to the itinerary. Mary's home and Ephesus are must see if youre traveling to the area. To have a personal guide through it was absolutely amazing. Adam was a wealth of knowledge and kept us entertained as well. We really enjoyed going to the carpet making school & of course had to buy one too! Our driver and Adam were kind enough to take us to an extra place where we loaded up on Turkish delight. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip!
