I really didn't know much about the ruins in Ephesus but was a surprise. I was told not to miss them and so glad we didn't. Once again the communication between us and the company was excellent. Pick up point easy to find and our guide Peri and driver Dimitri were very professional. We also stopped at a Turkish rug making collaborative were we watched master weavers make beautiful rugs. We had lunch at this facility at our own cost, very delicious, Turkish cuisine. We were taken to a leather shop to view a fashion parade and purchase leather jackets if desired. Peri even stopped at a turkish delight shop for taste testing. All in all a very interesting, cultural day.
This was an amazing tour! Ozzy did a fantastic job keeping everyone informed, organized, and on schedule so we could make it back in plenty of time for our cruise departure. We really enjoyed learning about the history of Kusadasi and visiting all of the beautiful sights along the way.
I also highly recommend adding the meal option—don’t skip it! The food was traditional, authentic, and absolutely delicious. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and a great way to explore Kusadasi. Highly recommend!
Borge, our guide, was a mine of information. The paths thorough Ephesus are very slippery and Borge made sure everybody in our group of sixteen took the safest route. A truly spectacular site made even better by an excellent guide.
Fantastic excursion! Our guide Bugra was so knowledgeable and engaging. He gave us opportunities to ask questions and ensured we had ample time to visit each of the stops. While there were items being sold at some of the stops, we never felt pressured to purchase anything. Highly recommend!
Wear walking shoes with good traction for the original marble pathways in Ephesus. Spectacular history. Make sure to get the Biblical history too of St Paul and St John.

Fatima was a wonderful guide. She was very knowledgeable and helpful in sharing with our family all the things Turkey is known for and has to offer. Our driver was excellent and always had a cool van waiting nearby to pick us up. This tour was unrushed and we truly enjoyed Fatima and her hospitality.

Canan was a great tour guide. The ancient city was incredible and she gave us great information along the whole trip! We did the half day tour and it was perfect for us. It was busy but she helped us navigate it perfectly. I would recommend taking this tour.

BEWARE! Two hours were wasted on the turkish rugs and "fashion show". We spent an hour quickly going around Ephesus and then two hours were spent being sold products to. The tour guide makes you think it's a tour of something special about the culture but it's just a sales pitch the whole time. Salesman are all over watching you and waiting. You can find the EXACT rugs and jackets in the markets for a fraction of the price. The big kicker is the tour guide told a big story about why we should avoid the markets. It seemed like lies to keep us away from products they don't get a commission off of and that are a lot less money.
And then we stopped at the Temple of Artemis and the guide asks if we want to get out or just keep going. He was only there for the sales and the ancient ruins were just to get us in his bus.
The optional lunch break wasn't optional. There was no where else to get food except what they served us. It was not a market just a rug store. The food wasn't great.
The time at Ephesus and the house of Mary were good. Our tour guide was knowledgable. We wanted to hear more of the apostle Paul and he pulled out a bunch of knowledge.
We were so disappointed in the sales pitches that it made it hard to enjoy everything else.
Ephesus was very historical and the trip to Mary's house is a must see! Not great for anyone with mobility issues! The tour was fine but the very pushy sales pitch at rug makers and leather store kept this review lower if we had not been so pressured to buy
Amazing tour and Peri was the best tour guide ever. She was thorough, kind and a had a wealth of information. She worked with us and we had a fantastic time.

The whole experience was amazingly. Our guide Peri was so knowledgeable. Ephesus, the temple of Artemis and The house of Mary all so interesting. The carpet shop had beautiful rugs to buy or not to buy so incredibly interesting. The maze food was lovely. I would highly recommend.

We were fortunate to have our guide Bugra all to ourselves. He made the day extra special. He was knowledgeable and informative and funny. He answered every questioned and shared details. Ephesus was amazing! More massive than we expected. We purchased rugs at the rug market and enjoyed an authentic Turkish meal. Mary’s house was certainly special and sacred. We ended at Artemis. Loved every minute.

Great tour Josh our guide was very informative. The only thing we did not like was they take you to a carpet maker and leather store and its pretty aggressive. Lunch is also at the carpet place, which they charge you $20euro.

This was a fabulous tour! Ozzy was extremely knowledgeable about Ephesus and spoke excellent English. We had a very small group and a comfortable van with AC. He took us to see how Turkish rugs are made BY HAND! Amazing! Then we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I highly recommend this tour!

We did the private tour of Ephesus and Mary’s House. We chose a private tour because as Catholics, Ephesus and Mary’s House has significant meaning for us and we hoped a private tour would allow an opportunity for our guide to provide some Christian historical context around these sites, as we mentioned to our guide at the very beginning of our tour. We didn’t expect this to be a Christian tour but there is Christian historical context associated with Ephesus and our guide did a great job providing the history of Ephesus as it related to Turkey’s history. It was mentioned that St. Paul preached there. She also provided great direction in how to carefully navigate along the marble walkways of the site.
Thankfully we were able to use ChatGPT on our own to fill in the history as it related to St. Paul and Christianity. When we got to Mary’s House, she explained that 25 minutes should be plenty of time to tour the house and we were welcome to “light a candle at the end to make our wishes.”
We knew the tour included time at a “Kusadasi Shopping Center” but we were surprised by the aggressiveness of the Turkish rug salesman, in addition to being directed to the jewelry counter (we didn’t have an opportunity to just walk through). And later the aggressiveness of the leather jacket salesman (1600 Euros for a leather jacket was a little steep for us) towards the end of the tour. The rug demonstration was extremely interesting but the amount of time we spent saying “no thank-you” got frustrating and old.
Although we were sent an extremely detailed text, e-mail, and WhatsApp text prior to the tour starting re: meeting logistics, it was still extremely confusing. The info sent to us even included a picture of a map of where to meet, telling us to look for a “private group / Ephesus tour sign.” However, the message completely failed to describe that we should have been looking for our name on sheet of paper posted to a board. The sign at the top of the board had an arrow pointing in one direction for bus tours, and another direction for shops. The board was behind a crowd of people waiting to get in line so all of the names on the board were not visible until the crowd of people left. There was no person waiting with our name on a sign and no way we could see the board with the names until the line of people left. Ultimately a security guard was able to help us when we were wandering around trying to figure out where to meet, and they were able to call to find our guide.
Touring Ephesus and Mary’s House was extremely interesting and our guide was knowledgeable, but all the time spent trying to sell us rugs, rings and jewelry, in addition to the complete lack of any Christian historical context, was different than what we had hoped for.
Our guide was adamant that we provide a review prior to leaving the tour, and even tried to get us to provide the review during lunch (I wanted to finish the tour before providing the review). As we were on the curvy road back to the port she again required we submit a review (I wouldn’t because of motion sickness). Unfortunately her requirement that people submit a review before the tour is even finished, and while sitting beside her in the van, cause me to question the overall validity of reviews provided ☹
What an absolute incredible experience with Fatima. Her knowledge and passion was second to none. I would highly recommend this!!
