The viator app tells you that in this tour what’s included three activities the library Mary house and the temple. When we got off the ship yes there was an air condition van waiting for us and they did take us to the library but when we said that the half day also included the other two activities with ticket entrances they said no. They dismissed us and made us feel like we were in the wrong. I even showed them that there are different options if I only wanted to go to the library the ticket per person would be cheaper and nothing. So no I don’t recommend this company. They rushed us out of the ruins gave us only ten minutes to either use the bathroom or look at the shops. Insisted that the shops were the same ones like infront of the cruise is not the shops outside the ruins have more options and better prices. You can always negotiate a price down so don’t give in to their prices at the market. They then took us to a boring silk making shop to push us to buy an expensive carpet that most tourist are not interested in and let’s be honest if you are in The market for such items you would go to a better store. Total waste of time. Extremely disappointed.

We had an amazing time exploring Ephesus with Nil. She was very informative throughout our tour. She kept the kids involved and considered the older members of our family as well. She was very kind throughout the trip and we enjoyed learning from her. Tickets for the exhibits were included with our booking so it was very easy to get in and out of places. We did a private tour for our group (highly recommended) that lasted about 5 hours, but could have been longer if we wanted. Nil shifted our route around so that we didn’t have to wait in long long lines at Mary’s House which we appreciated. At the Ephesus ruins, where the crowds were very large, she took the time to navigate us to shade so we could learn the history without sitting in the sun. We also took advantage of lunch at the carpet school and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Do not skip the lunch. It was SO worth it! The carpet school was very neat to see and learn about. We even witnessed a woman’s carpet being sold while we were there. The pure emotion she displayed showed how important it is for their families and culture. So glad we got to experience something so important to them. We enjoyed seeing all the carpets and learning about the materials. They were not pushy or pushing us to buy and we never felt hassled. Overall it was a solid 10/10 and we would most definitely recommend it to others.

My guide was lovely and so was the driver. It is important to be prepared for some 'hard selling' stop offs that are thrown in - the carpet cooperative and a 'fashion show'. Neither of these were advertised but are 'extras' designed so that you spend more. I didnt appreciate this being sprung on me. I declined the fashion show but was too polite and went to the carpet place as it was as a learning opportunity about Turkish culture and artisan flair. It was interesting for about 10 minutes then the hard sell came and it was mega awkward and had to ask the guide to let me leave.
My guide (Mart i think was his name) was super helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. I wish I had been asked if I wanted to go to to the 'extra stops' though.

As you can see, the third item in the itinerary clearly states "Kusadasi Shopping Center," where the art of traditional handwoven Turkish carpets is presented. Because of that, we are honestly not sure where the confusion came from.
To give you a broader perspective, our tours include visits that showcase some of Turkey's traditional arts and crafts, which are an important part of the country's cultural heritage. These visits offer several benefits to travelers. After spending hours exploring archaeological and historical sites, they provide a chance to relax in a comfortable setting. Some guests enjoy learning about traditional craftsmanship, while others are interested in purchasing authentic souvenirs to take home. Every traveler has different interests, and these visits are included to accommodate those preferences.
Our goal is to provide a complete travel experience. In addition to visiting historical and cultural landmarks, you have the opportunity to experience local cuisine and learn about traditional Turkish arts and craftsmanship. These visits are simply one part of that overall experience.
We are still not entirely sure what caused the misunderstanding, especially since these stops is clearly mentioned in the itinerary. If you're not interested in these products, no one is forcing you to make a purchase. However, because this is a group tour, we need to follow the planned itinerary and provide all participants with the experiences included in the program.

We had an amazing day exploring Ephesus! Our guide, Ozzy, was professional, punctual, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. We were traveling with young children (2 and 5 yrs), and he went out of his way to make the experience comfortable for our family—stopping in shaded areas when possible, pointing out nearby restrooms, and being patient throughout the tour.
The small group size (just 10 people) made the experience feel personal and relaxed. We spent the morning exploring Ephesus, followed by a rug demonstration and a delicious authentic lunch, which was a perfect break before continuing to the House of Mary in the afternoon.
The rug presentation was interesting without feeling rushed, and the quality of the rugs was impressive. Lunch was fresh, authentic, and one of the highlights of the day. Overall, this was a well-organized tour with a great balance of history, culture, and comfort. We highly recommend it, especially for families traveling with children.

Gulsah was a great guide for this tour. We were able to get into Ephesus right as it opened to beat some of the crowds and heat. It was the highlight of the tour. We had to go through a Turkish carpet making place which was beautiful and interesting but then enjoyed an authentic farm to table lunch there. If you are interested in ancient history this is the tour to book. We were cruise passengers and they worked around our schedule. We are so glad we didn’t do a big bus tour as it would’ve been miserable. This private tour is the way to go!

Ezgi was a great tour guide of the Ephesus ruins, being both very knowledgeable and helpful, allowing her tour group of 6 (only 2 families) to go at our own pace. Her driver picked us up outside the cruise port and we quickly made our way to the ruins. Highly recommend taking her tour and the price was the least expensive compared to other tours we took in Greece. She also took us to a carpet factory, where we learned about how they make their famous Turkish carpets (along with a hard sales pitch) as well as going to a leather store, where we were introduced to Turkish leather jackets. We weren’t expecting these last 2 visits, but surmised these visits were added per the Turkish government. At the end of the day, the trip was still totally worth it!

We had a great tour of Ephesus with Peri, she was informative and had a great energy about her! Mary's house was a nice stop though it was nothing like the Ruins of Ephesus! So glad to have done this tour. My family could have done without the stop at a leather shop but I realize most tours have something like this.

This was a tourist trap!! The first part of Ephesus was wonderful and is 5 stars. But then we were led to see how rugs are made which was great until the salesmen came out to encourage you to buy from them. It kind of ruined the whole experience. The lunch was good, but extremely overpriced. Seeing Mary’s House was a sweet experience, but was then ruined by the “fashion show”- another tourist trap. We thought we would see the talents of the area and the culture, but instead it was one tourist trap after another which was disappointing. It was as though this was a play and each of these people were actors.
However, Ozzy was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable, helpful, and great at explaining things. We give him a 5 star and the first part of Ephesus was 5 stars.
We wish we could have given a better review for the overall experience. We loved seeing the country side and the explanation. If we weren’t feeling pressured to buy things the experience would have been so much better.
