The experience was advertised as Ephesus (entrance paid for by us) and Turkish Baths, again paid for by us) including a traditional lunch (included in the tour) Our lovely young guide met us at the port and and introduced us to our driver. We new absolutely nothing about Ephesus before our visit and our guide made sure we didn't miss a thing, he was so knowledgeable and proud of the history which made the experience outstanding. From there we were taken to an outlet to taste and try Turkish delights and other treats, we made some purchases there. Seeing as it was midday we were thinking our lunch stop might be next, but no, we were taken to a ceramics factory where we were feeling pressured to make a purchase, we did not. I then questioned our guide and he said we want to make a stop at a jewellery place,
we declined, then a leather place, well I just politely lost it at this point. Our day was ticking by and there was no sign of lunch or the Turkish bath house and massage.
We had a firm conversation about what our tour was supposed to consist of and that he needed to get it back on track.
He made a phone call then told us we had to pay for lunch, I explained that it was included, after another call he apologised and said lunch was included.
By this time it had just become awkward for all of us.
We went for lunch and it was really nice.
Then off to the Baths.
It was really hard to relax and enjoy the experience because by this time we were watching the clock and getting nervous about returning to the ship on time.
As it turns out we made it back to the ship with 8 minutes to spare. Too close for comfort for our liking.
I felt really sorry for our young guide, it was clear that he was pushed into getting us to stop and hopefully make purchases along the way.
He needs to go and work for a more reputable company because his passion , knowledge and enthusiasm were great.
I would definitely have him as a guide again, but would never go with this company or recommend them to anybody.

Excellent tour. Got to experience rug making, ceramics painting, delicious food. Ephesus ruins and some lovely shops. Tour was very prompt and fun. Dont feel like you have to buy anything, just enjoy the culture. Highly recommend.

The Turkish bath is NOT included in this Price !!, the Bath is Extra, this is not how it’s Advertised. You have to read the Fine print to find out. We were already on our tour before the guide informed us the price for the bath was not included.

On our Viator page, all tour details are clearly listed, including the services that are included and not included. The Turkish Bath entrance fee is not included in the tour price, and this information is stated just as clearly and prominently as all other details under the “Exclusions” section.
Therefore, there is absolutely no “false advertising” or “missing information.” All guests can review these details before making a reservation, and every booking is made under the same clearly stated conditions.
The situation you mentioned has occurred entirely because the information section was not read carefully before booking. All tour details are shared transparently and publicly accessible before any reservation is made.
All explanations are presented openly and clearly there is absolutely no misleading or deceptive advertising!!!

We had a great guide and driver, Ibercan and Armed were great very nice clean van, Ibercan was so educated we knew everything and more by the time we finished, great lunch and bath was perfect we even fitted in a massage as well. very good value and very private.

It was the perfect day! We had a phenomenal tour guide…Oznur Ozgurkirliboz was our private tour guide! The trip was very inexpensive and we covered the highlights we wanted! Fantastic day with our Private guide Alper. Private tour/ van in Kusadasi to Ephesus and traditional Turkish bath. We asked to stop at rug store and spice shop too. Haman (bath/massage) is a must do in Turkey! Great guide with lots of interesting history to share with us. You can do as much or as little as you want - the only way to do it all.

Sayham was amazing. Very knowledgable and had a lot of history to share. The only downside was the carpet pitch, could’ve done without it but this tour is so worth your time. The Turkish bath was a great treat. 10/10

What a terrific day! Our guide was Fusun. She was extremely knowledgeable, providing information about Ephesus and local culture. We asked to deviate from the itinerary and she was very accommodating and pleasant. Our driver was great also. Lunch was delicious. We couldn’t have had a better day. Highly recommend this tour.

Loved the bath experience and the massage it was excellent! Our tour guide Bihter was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun! Ephesus is stunning! Went early no crowds. Lunch included was delicious! Could have skipped the carpet tour, was informative but you feel the obligation even if you don’t buy. Price was great for the tour… shopping, feel like prices are increased because they know you are coming!

Tour was going well till the last stop. When we were exiting the place we had lunch instead of heading to the Turkish Bath we were ushered into a carpet market. No one was interested in buying a several thousand dollar carpet and we spent so much time there we were unable to do the Turkish Bath. Prior to that I would have given the tour a 5 but was very disappointed we missed the Turkish Bath.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. It’s nice to have an air-conditioned van waiting for you when you get off a ship. We told the tour guide that we were not interested in buying rugs. We still sat through a 45 minute Tour of carpets. Then the tour guide recommended the Turkish bath that we paid $55 each for 15 minutes of the bath. We just felt that we were taken advantage of. The bath was a fun experience, but I should have negotiated the price.

We talked to your guide again based on your comment. You expressed your satisfaction with your tour that day with your comments other than this comment and also in the e-mail you sent. Frankly, we are saddened and surprised by your comment. The prices for the extra activities (Turkish bath) included in your tour are not the prices we have determined. At the entrance, you are informed about the prices, the option is offered and if you accept it, you do it.
If our guests want to see the carpet stores, a presentation is made. Your guide stated that there is no pressure on you and that if you do not want to do so, there will be no presentation.
Despite everything, we were happy to meet you and host you in our country. We would be happy to welcome you again on your next visit to Kusadasi.

I’m giving a tour five stars because the tour itself was excellent. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and was truly enthusiastic about teaching us about his country and its history. He was kind and patient with our kids. Ephesus is amazing and we also had a chance to visit what’s left of the temple of Artemis which was something we really wanted to see. The lunch was also excellent, nice food in a beautiful environment. The van was very comfortable and well air-conditioned, the driver provided water and some candies and did an excellent job. Like others have mentioned there is some relatively high pressure sales visits. This seems to be pretty standard for tours here as we saw multiple other groups there there, but the carpet one in particular I felt uncomfortable when we were brought to a closed room to be sold carpets, I’d have been ok if it was just the demonstration out front. I’d recommend asking to skip this all together unless you think you’d like to buy one (they are beautiful). I think I would probably have skipped the Turkish bath as well, it was very overpriced and not very nice. If I had the choice to do the tour over again, I would just head back to the ship after lunch, but I certainly would do it again—we enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot.

Great your guide, Seyhan, was great! He's flexible and informative and was csring to my elderly mom. Very memorable day. Our other relatives chose a taxi and they didn't have the great time we did.
Keep in mind to budget for pricry entrance tickets to the ruins (very worth it) and moderate bath prices (nice and relaxing). You are taken to a couple of shopping places with sales oriented staff, just buy what you want and leave the rest.

We started off getting picked up by a very nice luxury van. Our guide Seyhan took us to try some tea and treats at a local shop. There was no pressure to buy anything. Next, we went to Ephesus where Seyhan gave us a great tour. We then visited the remains of the Temple of Artimis before heading to lunch. Lunch was on a quaint farm and a very good three-course meal. There was too much food for just two of us, but it was all very yummy. We watched a demonstration about how the carpets were made inside the carpet shop and again, there was no pressure to buy. We ended the tour with a turkish bath experience. You need your bathing suit for this so don't forget it!

Our tour guide made this day fabulous. Her name was Aishin and she was so knowledgeable and professional. The day was planned perfectly by seeing the ruins early, then having an incredible lunch at the green restaurant and then learning how Turkish rugs are hand woven. I could have done without the sales pitch there however but I know that they are trying to make a living. The Turkish bath was a very interesting experience. I highly suggest this tour for cruise passengers because you can do so much in so little time.

Fusun gave us a great day in Kusadasi! She was so friendly, generous, and knowledgeable and the private transport was so comfortable and convenient. This tour was a perfect balance of history, shopping, local food, and of course the hammam experience. The Turkish bath was a unique experience for our teenagers in particular, and one of the most memorable parts of the trip.

So much depends on the guide!!! The idea of Ephesus, lunch and Turkish Baths is great, but our guide wasn't enthusiastic and didn't understand our questions, and that made asking questions very difficult.
