It’s almost a 3-hour drive from Kusadasi to the Pamukkale UNESCO World Heritage Site: travel in comfort by air-conditioned Mercedes Sprinter minibus when you book this small-group tour. Ruins are great but the travertine terrace pools a let down

Fantastic Time at Pamukkale (Small Group Tour) from Kusadasi Port/Hotels

We reserved a private tour for 13 cruise ship passengers. The ship arrived at 7 AM and the All Aboard was 6:30 PM. We were very concerned about the amount of time we needed to get to the site, enjoy all the various elements, and return to the ship on time. We were advised that as a private tour this was possible. And, thanks to our tour guide, Eren Tozlu, our time was managed to perfection. We left cruise ship terminal at 7:20 AM and returned at 6 PM. Eren listened to us, he managed our time perfectly ensuring we saw the primary attractions, knew our way around, knew where the bathrooms were, and knew what our options were so we could manage our free time. He took us up to the stadium, best amphitheater stage we've ever seen, he took us to the Gates of Hell and Back (that's the Plutonium) and showed us the swimming pools and the terraced pools of Cleopatra. Next we had a lovely lunch. Then we made our way back to the ship arriving at 6 PM. Definitely recommend this experience. Note: It takes about 3 hours to get to Pamukkale from Kusadasi Cruise Terminal.

More time needed on location

3 hours to get to the site which your warned off after a stop of at a factory/shop for a few expensive pieces of carved stone!!!! Ok look good and are very detailed but I’d rather have time on trip location Anyway we arrived at Pamukkale with a short tour with the guide then we had 3 hours only free time to see the ruined city of Hirapolis, a swim in Cleopatra pool if wanted a wander around the museum and the walk on the unique terraces that is Pamukkales natural wonder! I didn’t get chance to do all as the area is vast so lost out on a swim in the pool as wanted to explore the archaeological site visit the museum and experience the terraces! 3 hours is not enough felt rushed and I definitely needed the pool in 35 degree heat but no choice of wanted to get back to Kuşadası! Guide and transportation was great eventually for back to Kuşadası in 4 hours from departure Long day as listed in listings so expect it!!!!!

Nothing was memorable . It was all a nightmare when the guide is only interested in flirting with a single mom amongst the other guests , and the AC was either off or non functional for most of the trip

Pumakalle and Hierapolis were breathtaking. They are busy places. I wish there was more historical information provided at the sites (to read) and from the guide to appreciate the experience fully at the time.

I would personally recommend this tour if you’re visiting during the peak season, as it’s quite busy and walking during 35 degrees can be a bit exhausting. I enjoyed the small group tour! Travelled with my family, as well as a couple (part of the small group) to the Hierapolis and Pamukkale Springs, as well as a place selling Onyx and other minerals. Very beautiful place, but if we had more time we would’ve loved to see the Necropolis up close 😅 Our last stop of the day was a spice shop which sold Turkish delights, Perfumes, Tea etc. The salespeople there are very interactive, but don’t feel pressurised to buy the products and purchase at your own comfort. The tour guide was very friendly and went out of her way to help us with translating conversations, texts, and helping us with photography! A big thank you to her for making the tour all in all a pleasant experience 🙏🏼

Visiting sights were good. Paragliding at Pamukkale was great. It was not included in our price but was definitely worth it. Lunch offered was below average. Do not expect a good lunch. Drive was smooth and guide was decent. Overall an average experience compared to other trips during our vacation.

Interesting experience but could be improved

Overall a decent experience but definitely not what we expected. Place is interesting to visit. However, it’s not as exciting as in pictures because there is not enough or no water in some ponds. Lengthy drive (~3.5h) but that was fine - driver was good and we managed to sleep for a large portion of the trip. The tour guide was very friendly and polite. However, we did not get as much info as we were expecting over the course of the tour. The restaurant that was selected for lunch was below average in quality and the buffet had limited options. The shopping stop at an Onyx place we extremely overpriced and therefore a bit of a time waste - original prices most likely in TL but salespeople were trying to sell in EUR or DOL to us. Unfortunately the visiting times selected for the tour were not the best as Pamukkale was packed with people.

Toured from Kusadasi so was a long drive but worth it. Heiropolis was more interesting than we initially expected. We were happy to have Filiz as our tour guide; she is excellent. Panakkale was nice to see also.

We didn't have much luck with the group! It wasn't very communicative and they were in bad mood effectively. However, the guide Selçuk was spectacular! with humor, good energy, available, good person, gave in time, without rushing. He wanted to meet us, was very close to the group and tried to unite him! The guide was always very available, communicative, always ready to help, offered several times to take pictures! Left us where we wanted and still gave us many important tips! I highly recommend! The food was great and it is self service!
