This was an amazing tour. Our tour guide Alex was very engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable!! He gave us great information, time to explore on our own, and even took us to see leather shops and rug makers on our request. Pick up and drop off were simple and easy!! I highly recommend this experience!!

It was a great day! Personal, private tour. Fusun (kind of like Susan with an F), was the BEST guide. We chose to do lunch and tour the carpet and leather factories with our group (4 people total) to get some culture aspect of the area. Definitely do it! The tours were great amd lunch was ABSOLUTELY fabulous!

We were the only cruise ship in port and had a private tour with. Guide and driver for my sister and I. She was incredible and gave us a wealth of information about Kusadasi and the home of the Virgin Mary. The Temple of Artemis and terrace houses were fascinating and she was so knowledgeable and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour for any cruise ship passengers.

What an amazing trip from start to finish! We thought that this was a small group tour but it ended up being a PRIVATE tour for the same price! As explained in the app, we just walked outside and saw our name on the board. We were brought to our guide and whisked off to the air conditioned black Mercedes van. Our tour guide Fusun was amazing! She was personable and educated and informative. Our driver focused on driving and was very safe! Since it was a private tour we were able to design it for what we wanted. We ended up skipping Mary's house and instead spent longer at Ephesus and the Terrace Houses. What an incredible experience! Yes it was hot but our guide made up for it with her engaging talk of what we were viewing. After Ephesus we went to the temple of Artemis which was nice to see and then a few other stops including a panoramic view over the whole city. Our guide told us she would take us to see carpet making and pottery and shopping but we weren't into that so she didn't push it which was nice. I would highly recommend this tour. For what we received as a private tour with everything included we felt that it was great value and one of the highlights of our trip so far! One of our best tours yet from Viator!

This excursion was PHENOMENAL from the very beginning. Tansu was amazing, kind, and patient!!! As a single mom solo traveling with her family, she made us comfortable from the very first introduction and tailored every detail of our trip to exactly what we wanted and expected. Everyone she introduced us to along the way (carpet makers, leather factory [by request]) were kind and helpful. She not only made us feel safe and returned us to port with plenty of time for more shopping but her knowledge of all the ruins and historic sites was incredible. Her personality was soft and radiating kindness. If you are able to request her, I highly suggest you do so!! Would do this trip 1000x over as Turkey was by far our favorite port stop!!!

Fabulous Ephesus

Ephesus was fabulous, the terraced houses so unexpected. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable and the driver was very good. The one thing we didn't like was the visit to the carpet factory. Seeing how the carpets are made on the loom and seeing the silk thread made from the silk worm cocoons was great, but the hard sell afterwards of very expensive carpets was very off putting.

Overall the tour was good. We had been expecting a smaller group than 12. There was some waiting around for the van, mainly because of traffic. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Ephesus is a worth seeing, though pretty crowded. We enjoyed seeing the house of the Virgin Mary. However, once you get through the lone it takes only about 1 minute to see the inside.

Absolutely fantastic. Ozzy was our guide. He had so much history and local information and answered all our questions. We had extra time so he took us to a weaving center to learn about Turkish handmade rugs and a leather shop. It was really one of the highlights of our tour of Greek islands. Even recommended where to try the best Turkish ice cream.

We had an amazing tour. Our tourist guide Tez is a professional tourist guide who speaks fluent English. Very polite, knowledgeable and answers questions patiently. Our driver took us to the destinations safely. Highly recommended for cruise travellers. We were dropped off at the port early and had a chance to explore Kusadasi.

Wonderful day exploring, hitting the main historical sites. We included Terrace Houses and this should not be missed. The Van was large, clean and comfortable - almost like a limo the way the inside was set up (2 bench seats facing each other). Our guide (Genk) was interesting, personable and informative. So much depends on the guide and we had the pleasure of sharing the day with a great one. Driver was also very good. We saw many groups of 20, 30 or more and we were thankful we booked a private tour. Genk knew how to plan the visit to stay ahead of or away from the larger groups. We compared our price to those on our cruise ship (who booked a 30+ person bus tour) and the prices were practically the same, which is crazy. Go with the private tour (ask for Genk) and you will be happier than a big group.

Amazing experience. Our tour guide Cem was excellent. We learned a lot from him on the tour. He was patient and ensured to cater the excursion to meet our needs. We were traveling with two 14 yr olds and two 19 yr olds so he adjusted as needed to keep them entertained. We had a private tour so it was easier for the modifications. It was such a diverse day of experiences and we truly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend.

Our family had an outstanding experience touring Kusadasi and Ephesus with our guide, Selenay, and driver, Adnan. From the moment we met them, it was clear we were in excellent hands. Selenay was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job bringing each site to life through history, culture, and spiritual insight. We especially appreciated how she thoughtfully paced the tour and organized the itinerary to avoid the largest crowds, allowing us to enjoy each location without feeling rushed. She was also very accommodating, adjusting the itinerary based on the interests and needs of our group. During the tour, we visited the House of the Virgin Mary, the Ancient City of Ephesus, the Terrace Houses, and the Temple of Artemis. Each stop was enhanced by Selenay’s engaging explanations and local perspective. A special thank you to Adnan, who provided safe, comfortable transportation throughout the day and helped ensure everything ran smoothly. We also loved the van we traveled in. It was very comfortable for my family. We also enjoyed our stop at a local leather company. The craftsmanship and quality of the products were impressive, and we appreciated the relaxed, no-pressure shopping experience. This was one of our favorite port days of our Mediterranean cruise. Thanks to Selenay and Adnan, our family created wonderful memories and gained a much deeper appreciation for the history and culture of this remarkable region. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kusadasi and Ephesus.

Most amazing tour ever! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and attentive to what we wanted to do. We mentioned we wanted to learn more about rug making and at the end of the tour she took us to a store where we got a private tour of the rug making and silk extraction and we got to practice on real rugs! Even though this was not part of the original tour and we did not have to pay anything extra! This tour is a once in a lifetime and our favorite on our cruise

We really enjoyed this tour. The ruins were fascinating and the terrace houses were very interesting. Pinar was our guide and she was excellent. Her English was great, she was patient, and very interesting. We were very happy with the tour. There are a lot of steps to see the terrace houses, but they are broken up with stops to see the different levels and explanations. I had a sprained ankle and I managed just fine.
