Excellent pre-trip communication with tour operator and we easily found the tour guide after getting off our ship. There was good communication between the guide and the driver- who always appeared to pick us yo when we were finished at a stop - no waiting!

Ali S. was personable, informative, and genuinely engaging — it felt like we’d been friends for years! We visited all the major sites, and Ali took amazing care of us throughout. He perfectly timed each stop to avoid large crowds, and we ended the day with a wonderful meal where he explained each dish in detail. We came away feeling like we truly understand so much more about this incredible country. As a bonus, Ali even added an extra stop where I got to try my hand at pottery under the guidance of a master — something not included in the original tour, but arranged so we could skip the long lines at Ephesus. His passion and knowledge really showed, and anyone considering this tour should not hesitate to book with him.

We could not have been more satisfied. Rizi was our guide and is among the best guides we’ve ever had on a vacation. His English is perfect (not even an accent), he is courteous, gave us tons of info about the sites and culture, answered every question we could imagine, and has 20 years of experience guiding in this area, so he knows everything. We had the private tour for 4 people in a luxury van and paid less than we would on the ship excursion. And we saw more - at our own pace, which is pretty brisk, as we like to see it all. Don’t hesitate to book this tour and ask for Rizi!

Well worth exploring Ephesus and Mary’s house, even if the queue was long and the day was hot. Our guide Okan was very considerate to myself and another passenger who had mobility issues. He also knew a great deal about the history of this region, but did not bore us. It was a very good day.

This is a MUST! Easy meet at cruise terminal nice private van and driver! Historical sites and knowledge from Celine our guide was amazing! I wasn’t sure I wanted to stop at the rug demo and lunch but to be honest that was such a bonus! The meal was amazing and watching the craftsmanship and story of the government support of the craft is wonderful! The historical sites were breathtaking!

Our guide Medi was awesome. She was very friendly, informative and d knowledgeable. She answered all our questions. Ephesus was really awesome and visiting Mary's house eas really a great experience. Bring something to put holy water in if you want to take some with you. The Turkish lunch was better than expected and alot of food. I definitely recommend this tour.

Nice Tour but we warned of "Art Gallery"

We had an excellent and memorable experience at our tourwith our guide, Zeynab! She was very excellent, well informed and knowledgeable about Ephesus. Luckily we had a very small group and all worked out well with her and the driver. Only complaint is that there is no Art Gallery at the end. Our lunch was provided at "Art Gallery" which was more like a big Turkish Carpet showroom to sell everyone carpets with high pressure sales people. This was completely unexpected as it put us in very uncomfortable positions. What started off with a fantastic tour and operated all turned sour at the very last stop - the high pressured sales on carpets/rugs (which it turns out our Tour Guide was a part of!!!) Be careful if you sign up for this Tour - seems like this is ending routine for this tour as we spoke to many other travellers and all complained about this same thing - ending at an 'Art Gallery' that had nothing to do with Art but selling of Turkish carpets/rugs.

Educational well guided tour

We found our tour guide Ezgi at the port area and we were fortunate that she graduated from the university as a tourism major and was a local resident so she was very knowledgeable about the area. We were with a couple and their 11 year old son so we had a small group. Ephesus is a remarkable geological site. Be prepared that there is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and slippery marble. I would not advise anyone with small children or with poor mobility to take this excursion. Our guide was very careful to advise us where best to walk and we took our time. The stop at Mary’s House was very nice and again our guide was very good to give us advise on seeing the area. We got there early so the line was not very long but by the time we were leaving it was MUCH longer. The stop at the rug factory was very interesting and enjoyed watching local workers making the rugs and extracting the silk from the cocoons. We really enjoyed the food at the meal. We got chicken and beef hot off the grill along with salad and other food. Our guide sat with us and made sure we were in the air conditioned dining area and informed us of all he different foods we were offered. It was served family style and more than enough to eat. I don’t understand was they can’t at least provide water free of charge though. I would expect with the amount of $ we are paying that there would be free bottles of cold water on the tour buses. We have been on tours all over the world and most have had coolers with free bottled water on board at such hot humid locations.

Ty is a very excellent guide. I was lucky that he supported me as I tried to walk on the treacherous slippery marble stones. I saw more of the road than artifacts. Ty told us many things of Turkey's history and it's current agriculture. Our small group allowed us to be flexible with timing to avoid large crowds at Mary's House. You must wear a hat or bring an umbrella for shade. Lunch was chicken, meatballs and other Turkish dishes. Ty and the driver allowed me to stop at a grocery store where I bought a peach and figs. It was very accommodating of them, and was something that I doubt that large tours would be able to do.

Our tour guide (Ozge), was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! The ruins of Ephesus were very impressive. The provided lunch was excellent. Overall a great day that I would highly recommend.

Our tour was literally turned out to be so wonderful. It was a hot day and Ezci constantly checked on us how we are , had water ready etc. Lunch was delicious and our van was so comfortable and cool.

Great cruise excursion option

This is a great option for a cruise excursion that is a much better price point that provided by your cruise line. Shortly after booking, I was contacted on WhatsApp to confirm my booking and ensure that I booked the right time, place, and date. The meeting point for the excursion was simple enough, with a picture provided and right outside the port. I was surprised that it was a small group for our tour, just 6 people. So it was very intimate and more comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable, really nice, and accommodating. They made sure we were comfortable, safe, and had a good time. Our guide provided little 'evil eyes' as a keepsake and ribbon for the Virgin Mary house wishing wall. Lunch was very good. It was a simple menu, so basically no choices. We waited at the lunch/carpet making demonstration place for the House of the Virgin Mary to be less busy before making our way there. We finished the tour by visiting a ceramic workshop. As many have noticed as said, the carpet and ceramics are neat but do feel like a sales pitch.
