Felt looked after...

We booked this half-day tour of the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, and it turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip to Cairo! Every single aspect of the experience was top-notch. First and foremost, our guide Rania was supreme. From the moment we met her, she was lovely, incredibly friendly, and possessed incredible English. Her depth of knowledge about the history and antiquities was massively impressive, bringing every site to life. She was also wonderfully patient, taking her time with us and never making us feel rushed. She is also an amazing photographer! I would specifically request her every single time! Rania also went above and beyond to look out for us. She personally ensured we got the best camels for our ride and expertly navigated us so that we didn't get ripped off at the tourist shops. We did a 4-day Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor, including Abu Simbel and a hot air balloon flight, and we really enjoyed it immensely! The trip was very nice and well organized. In just 4 days we have seen and done a lot. A big plus point was our guide Mahmoud Habibi. He was super funny, incredibly helpful, and you could ask him anything. He really took the time to explain everything and made the whole trip complete for us. A really great guide! The food on the cruise was also very nice. There was a lot of variety and we actually found everything very tasty. Every day there was something different on the menu and there was plenty of choice. Good to know in advance: The Karnak Temple is simply included in the trip. Additionally, there is the option to go to a Nubian Village for an extra $25. We found this a real recommendation! You visit the island, get Nubian food, and you can even hold crocodiles if you want. On day 1, you will be discussed what extras there are and you must immediately pay $105 entrance/admission fees. In addition, you pay $19 per person in tips for everyone involved in the trip (excluding your guide), such as the kitchen staff, the boat crew, and the drivers who take you to the temples. So keep in mind that you will need about $105 plus possibly $25 for Nubian Village + $19 tip per person on top of the booking price. Another point to consider is that you won't get much sleep. The days start very early because of the excursions. For example, we had to get up twice at 03:45. It fits a bit with such an intensive trip, but it is good to take this into account beforehand. Also with the hot air balloon flight, it is good to know that it is not 100% guaranteed. The hot air balloon ride is regulated by the government and if the government determines that the conditions are not safe, the flight can be canceled. We are staying on the Queen Sheeba. The cruise itself was very pleasant. There was a swimming pool, the staff was very friendly and everything was well maintained. We found the bathroom a bit outdated. We also had to walk through other cruise ships regularly to get to our own boat when we were ashore. Because of that, you will naturally compare it with other cruise ships, some of which looked prettier or more luxurious. We don't know of course if those cruises fall within the same price range, so it's difficult to compare fairly. Overall, we would definitely recommend this trip. In four days you will get an incredible amount from Egypt, from the temples and Abu Simbel to the Nubian Village, the Nile cruise and the hot air balloon ride. There is an incredible amount to see and do and we really enjoyed it immensely. We really hope that everyone who books this trip is lucky enough to get Mahmoud Habibi as a guide!

Very good cruise

The cruise was very good, all the staff super friendly, the guide Khalil was very attentive, I got sick during the cruise he knew and sent me throat tea. All visits to the temples were in air-conditioned cars. The drivers were a bit crazy in traffic, but that's their tradition there. Our boat was delayed a few hours and the guide arranged another guide just for me and my friend so we wouldn't miss the visit to 1 temple. The food on the boat was really good, we only paid for the drinks which weren't expensive.

Great experience

HASSAN was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely informative and knew his history very well. He gave the opportunity to take pictures and videos after he finished explaining everything. And then went out for lunch at a local restaurant, which was really good! Would definitely recommend. The driver Mohammed was also a great addition to the trip.

It was a journey touring mysterious and magnificent ruins. Although there was travel from early in the morning, I was able to spend my time comfortably because the cruise ship and the transport buses were clean. The guide, Hady, was very kind. The stories of history and culture were very interesting. I was relieved because you were watching over us so that we, who are not good at English, wouldn't be left behind. It's a truly wonderful memory.

We had an absolutely fantastic day with Hussam, who took us to visit the Pyramids in the morning and the **Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)** in the afternoon. Hussam was incredibly knowledgeable, and his storytelling was exceptional. He didn’t just tell us about the history; he brought it to life and made us feel as though we were travelling back in time. His depth of knowledge was unbelievable, and his passion for Egyptian history really shone through. He also knew exactly where to take us for the most amazing photographs, capturing some truly special memories. He was brilliant at using my husband’s mobile phone, making the most of its features to get the perfect shots. We now have some beautiful photos to remember our experience! Hussam was also very thoughtful and made sure we stayed well hydrated throughout the day, which we really appreciated. He even recommended an amazing restaurant for the evening, where we enjoyed a lovely meal while watching the sunset with a full view of the Pyramids. It was the perfect way to end such a memorable day. My husband and I cannot recommend Hussam highly enough. His knowledge, storytelling, thoughtfulness and attention to detail made our experience truly special. If you’re visiting Cairo and the Pyramids, **do ask for Hussam — you won’t be disappointed!**

Ahmed is the best!!

What a day. Perfectly guided from the start. In Cairo, our guide Ahmed waited for us with much love. He spoke on, enthusiastic, full of fire, humor. Everything was there to keep us enthusiastic all day. The pyramids were wow, the GEM was incredible...and the birthday surprise I could get for my wife in the restaurant: perfect.
