Amazing half-day tour with Abdul

This tour should be at the top of anyone's itinerary when visiting Luxor. My wife and I travelled to Luxor for the holidays and took this tour on New Year's Day 2026. Our tour guide, Abdul, was fantastic and made the entire experience comfortable from the start. First, he arrived at our hotel at 7:59am for an 8:00am scheduled pick up time. Next, Abdul clearly and efficiently laid out for us what we could expect from the day and gave us the freedom to choose our own itinerary. We ended up spending the morning/early afternoon with Abdul at Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu. At each stop, Abdul not only effortlessly guided us around but also provided us with a series of unforgettable history lessons on Ancient Egypt, Luxor's past, and the treasures we were about to see. The transportation was a breeze, and Abdul made sure to give us ample time at each stop. This ensured we did not feel rushed at any point during the tour, and allowed us to truly capture everything we were seeing. Tomb of SETI I is a must visit.

This tour is highly recommended! We took a balloon ride booked through the same company so our guide met us afterwards. The tour was well organized. Our Egyptologist guide Abdul, spoke good English and also good archaeological background. He is knowledgeable and learned the history of people who lived in the areas of the tomb sites. In the Valley of the Kings, we indicated that we want to see SETTI which is an extra cost and King Tut. SETII IS WORTH THE EXTRA FEE. The hieroglyphs are vibrant and detained. Abdul chose the other 3 tombs for us which we all love, especially Ramses III. He explained what we will see inside using postcards (which we purchased later) so it was nice to hunt the hieroglyphics and know their meaning. He gave us enough time to explore each tombs on our own. We also had time for quick snack break as it got really hot inside the tombs. Don't expect to eat a full sit down meal during the tour especially if you decide to visit 5 tombs which can be time consuming. Overall, very happy with this tour, nice driver and excellent tour guide, Abdul.
