What are people saying about Tunisia
Anne_G, May 2026
Everything you need to know and alot more.
Our guide Chaouki was fantastic. He met us as we walked off our ship. He gave us a thorough tour of Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and the Medina. Chaouki was flexible on what we saw and how much time we spent in each place. We visited the North African American Cemetery and Memorial. We did not even know this cemetery was in Tunis. It really was moving. We had a delicious lunch and learned so much about the people and culture of Carthage. Chaouki really made our quick visit special. Thank you!

Great day trip with a very knowledgeable guide
We had a great experience. Our guide Beligh was very nice and extremely experienced and eloquent in his explanations. He gave us ample time for photos and also answered all of our general questions about Tunisia and even a bit about its current politics! Highly recommended.

Enjoyed Tour of Tunisia
The tour van picked us up on time at the Hotel. The tour guide, Ahamid, was very knowledgeable and informational when explaining and was very helpful throughout the tour. We happened to be the only two tourists showed up but Viator did not cancel the tour and proceeded which I appreciated.

El Jem Kairouan & Sousse
Our driver, ELYES contacted us the day before we were due to travel to confirm date and time and pick up. He arrived very punctual very smart, wonderful manners and very, very courteous. He always acted professional and caring especially when driving over speed bumps.. he gave us time to look around at each site the whole day was full of warmth banter wonderful personality. His vehicle is clean and tidy and his driving is very professional. He went over and above to us feel happy he’s a credit to Tunisia He’s a wonderful charming gentlemen but extremely professional nothing was too much for him. He took us to some sites that were personal to myself. He never complaint always had a smile on his face and made us feel extremely valued and welcomed to Tunisia. He is a credit to Tunisians is employers and has a wonderful sense of humour thank you. Thank you for such an impressive day. He made what could’ve been a dull day very pleasant.

Took Simba’s VIP tour...
Took Simba’s VIP tour experience to see some of Tunisia’s best sites near Tunis. For this customizable, private tour, we explored Carthage, Sibi Bou Said, and the medina in Tunis. Here, you can choose the Bardo Museum instead of the medina, but that seems better to do for at least a half day when you aren’t committed to see everything else in the area that same day. Would recommend doing this tour along with “Fun VIP Day Tour: El Jem, Kairouan & Monastir/Sousse (Pickup All)“ another day to see Tunisia’s greatest hits during a week’s visit. Our driver was Moez, who is professional, speaks English, and doesn’t pressure you to spend money at tourist traps as can be a common experience in this part of the world. He was so good that we requested him again for our second tour with Simba later in the week.

Great to see a small part of Tunisia, not just our resort
We always like to get out for at least a day to see some of the country we have visited. This tour allowed us to do that, with our driver Aymen who was friendly and informative. Driving in Tunisia is definitely not easy, you need local experience. I’m glad I wasn’t behind the wheel. I would recommend this tour.

Fantastic trip, great scenery.
We were collected in our taxi. He took us up to the building where we had a quad each.
Very helpful guys and spoke with us.
The drive was fantastic.
I have been on quads before but in Morrocco.
The tracks were beautiful. Mixed terrain, forests, flowers.
We had a fabulous afternoon.
We returned to sample mint tea, olive oil and bread.
We recommend this trip!

The Force is definitely with Mohamed!
Mohamed! ( & the Coach Driver, sorry, can't remember your name - but hope your wedding went well!)
That's all you should need to know really.
Very professional, very knowledgeable - about a great many things,(not just about Tunisia - & yes knew more about Shakespeare than me), very well organised & very caring - wanting to ensure that everybody on the trip was made to feel welcome & involved.
(Especially my younger "sister" - actually my teenage Daughter.
Obviously I'm going to say that this trip is well worth it - many things packed into the timetable - including a,(gulp), 4am start on the 2nd morning!! - BUT - well worth it to see the Sunrise at a certain point at the Salt Flats! (& yes, the whole coachload did "forgive him" for the early start after this!)
Tourist tick box? All checked.
Colosseum,(where Gladiator was actually filmed) - Skywalker/Lars Homestead - Camel Ride in the Sahara - Jeep Ride over the Sand Dunes - Mos Espa (another Star Wars location) - Hotel stay & food provided + the very many stories of both the history of the areas & their current states.
Needless to say - very Highly Recommended!

Best tour guide and driver!
We had the most fantastic trip with our wonderful guide Yahya and our driver Mahdi.
We could not recommend this tour enough, we saw so many fantastic sights from Mos Espa, to having tea in an authentic Berber home near Matmata, being amazed by the El Jem colosseum, walking around Chebika Oasis, driving through the Tunisian Sahara and so much more. However, beyond all of this, our favourite moments were spent having coffee and chatting with Yahya and Madhi. They both showed us so much kindness. Yahya was full of wisdom and knowledge and it was a privilege to learn about Tunisian history and culture from him.
Also, a massive thank you to Arby who was our driver for the off roading!
Thank you for everything! We already miss you both! See you next time.

Great tour with Ahmed and Shihab!
This was a great tour! Ahmed arrived early which we appreciated. He was very nice and knowledgeable. The lunch spot (blu blu) was very tasty. The Medina is closed Sunday’s (when we went) so we were given extra time in the Bardo Museum. Our driver Shihab was very professional and safe. We definitely enjoyed!

Great driver for trip to to El Jem/Kirouan
Just hire the driver to get to El Jem! My friend and I tried yesterday to take the train, but it broke down about one hour into the trip and was going to be three hours total to wait. So we abandoned the broken train and got back to Tunis via side trip to Hammamet. Today we hired a very nice fellow named Larbi from Saharan sky tour company. He picked us up at a convenient location in Tunis and drove us safely where we needed to go. Although a guide was not included in this Viator option, he kindly shared information about Tunisia and the places we were visiting. We were so glad to not deal with the train and have a clean and comfortable ride.

Exploring Tunisia with a cultural expert…..
Chaouki was a great guide. He is a very knowledgeable man regarding history and even learned Latin in Rome! His energy was boundless in showing us his country and the sights we asked to see. He worked tirelessly to give us the time and space to appreciate the various sights we visited, answering questions with humour and perfect English! He was very hospitable in ensuring our comfort and suggested lots of good photo spots. The communication from this company was excellent. If you want to learn more about Tunisia, i would have no hesitation in recommending Chaouki!
