Meteora tour
It was a long day but it was worth it! The trip/tour was a great experience. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which made it really easy. The car was very comfortable and our driver was great. Dimitris was extremely knowledgeable regarding the history, economy and daily life in Greece. We definitely learned a lot during our tour. Meteora is so beautiful! It was an amazing, unforgettable experience. It was so worth it!

Meteora is an incredible...
Meteora is an incredible place, and well worth the visit. It's a long way - but the beach restaurant stop, and the ability to pre-order, makes a big difference. The places are beautiful - and unfortunately very busy as a result..I'd retan overnighter, if you can afford it, for an evening or morning tour. Tour guide was very good and helpful with photos

Long day but worth the trip,
It was a very long day but amazing 🤩 Make sure you’re ok with spending many hours on a bus. Also, we were very disappointed that there’s no direction as to what bus you belong to because when you show up at Larissa station there was FIVE buses marked Meteora, people with list of names ,we ha to run around lithe crazy to find our name to discover which bus you belong to , RIDICULOUS! Very disappointed in the start of this tour and no communication. Our tour guide Marie was excellent!

Excellent trip to the monasteries at Meteora!
Seeing the monasteries at Meteora was a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Clement, was excellent and was full of knowledge and enthusiasm. It was well worth the long trip from Athens.

Meteora byzantine monasteries perched on top of steep rocks, Greece
  • Wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen and water, and prepare to walk---all but one of the monasteries is reached by steep steps.

  • Visitors to the monasteries must have their shoulders and knees covered, and wraps are provided at the entrance.

  • The best options for restaurants and cafés are in Kalampaka, so bring a packed lunch if you plan to spend the day.

  • Be sure to check the opening days and times of the monasteries in advance, as they vary.

  • Plan to visit two or three monasteries on a day tour---to visit all six, you will need a 2-day tour.

  • St. Stephen's Monastery (Agios Stephanos) is the only wheelchair-accessible monastery.
