It's 4hrs of stunning views and exploring, amazing tour guide Lina and driver Yanas took care of us.
If you choose pick up from your hotel or apartment bare in mind they will be a few minutes after the start time but well worth it.

It was good overall. Be aware you must bring cash if you want to visit inside sites. It was mot mentioned anywhere in the description that cards are not accepted

This tour has a little bit of everything: monastery, hermit caves, neighborhood/historical church and photo opportunities. . It started to rain towards the end. I thought that we wouldn’t see a great sunset, but the clouds parted just enough to creat a sunset that was out of this world. We were very happy and would definitely recommend to others

The sunset tour was superb! Our guide, Lina, and driver, Sotos, were very friendly and knowledgeable. We toured and learned a lot about the hermit caves, forest and monasteries of Meteora throughout the Byzantine and Ottoman eras and into the WWII bombings and post war rebuilding. Lina's stories helped us imagine the lives of the monks in the caves and monasteries, as well as the nuns and the nunneries. We would not have gotten this full picture if we had just gone to the monastaries on our own. Highly recommended!

This was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Greece. I have been multiple times to Greece and always wanted to see Meteora. It is off the beaten path of Greece so was always hard to plan. This tour was fantastic. Lina was so knowledgeable about the monasteries and the history. We went to multiple photo stops, St Stephenson’s monastery, went to see the hermit caves, and the last stop was the sunset rock to watch the sunset. Great night. The tour is a little longer than 4 hours.

It helped us get oriented to the world of Meteora and gave us good information. It certainly made it convenient to see the sites. The guide was excellent.
But it was way too long —- I understand that a “sunset tour” on June 17 will be late —- and I understand that the monastery closed at 5:00, so there’s not really any way around it. The stop at the Byzantine church in town was much much too long. I guess the ad should have been clearer about how long the tour actually was. We didn’t get back until 9:30. By then I didn’t care about Meteora at all anymore.

Regarding the duration, you're absolutely right—during this time of year, especially around mid-June, we experience the longest days of the year, and the sunset occurs quite late. Since the tour is designed to capture the golden hour and sunset views, it naturally runs later into the evening. While we aim to provide an approximate timeframe, the exact tour duration can vary by season, and it's unfortunately not practical to list a different end time for every week of the year.
We appreciate your feedback about the Byzantine church stop as well and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

This tour was much more than I anticipated in the best way. The monasteries were gorgeous, and entering one was a very pleasant experience. Make sure you wear pants/a long skirt for entry!
Our guide and driver, Lina and Giannis, were full of information and excellent photographers. We got dinner recommendations from them, as well as some tips for our trip to Heraklion a few days later.
I learned so much about the history of the caves and monasteries and had a great time doing it!

I went to the monasteries in the morning (omitting St. Stephen's because I knew I would see it later), and also the viewpoint in the morning (it was much less crowded). I was worried the tour might duplicate some things, but it was a perfect extension what I had seen.
Though I was alone, Demetrios still gave an excellent enthusiastic tour - he's knowledgeable, and true to Greece, has stories to tell. The more you want to know, the happier he is.
Worth knowing - the "sunset tour" of Meteora does involve enjoying the sunset, but it's actually a detailed tour that gives a lot of background. It takes you to only one monastery - St. Stephen's, which is easily accessible without stairs at the entry. What it adds is seeing where the hermitages - cave dwellings - of the solo hermits were before the monasteries were built and the Byzantine Church in Kalampaka, where you can get a close up view of the iconography. If you book this, see the other monasteries in the morning or the next day.

This was a great tour for us. I liked that this wasn't a hike up a bunch of stairs to see monasteries over and over. We got to see the main sites of the area without taking too long at any one spot. Took some great photos. Our guide Jim was super interesting and told some great stories rather than just prattling on with facts. He talked like this was the first time he'd told the stories.
