The tour around Naxos Island was excellent. The tour guide (Thanos?) was very knowledgeable and willing to address any questions or concerns. His English was excellent so there was no problem understanding him. The roads were narrow with many hairpin turns as expected on the Greek islands, but Vassiles the bus driver was very careful making the ride enjoyable. There was plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the scenery.

Fun, unique Naxos experience

This was one of the excursions we were most excited about doing on our honeymoon and Jean-Baptiste did not disappoint! We lucked out with the weather and had a great time learning about marble, the power tools, and Cyclades artwork. Jean-Baptiste is an amazing French artist and we are thankful he opened up his outdoor studio and tools to us. He had safety equipment for us to use and did a good job teaching us how to safely use the tools. He was flexible when we went a little longer than expected and gave us sandpaper to continue working on making our marble sculptures as smooth as possible after the class. From what we saw, this is a unique experience of actually making sculptures compared to other places that may have focused on just carvings. Merci beaucoup!

Great tour of the town & food

We loved the food tour and thought it worked out great to do it the first day we arrived in Naxos as it gave us a tour of the town area and some ideas for where to go back to later in our trip. Angelica was so informative and kind, even with the terrible rain we had at the start of our tour. Our favorite places were the cheese stop, exploring the castle, and the full meal! We loved trying the Kitron and did go back to buy a bottle the next day. Thank you for the lovely overview and delicious foods!

Sandy and Stefanos were...

Sandy and Stefanos were great. They were both very helpful and able to answer all our questions. The tour was paced perfectly, and I felt we spent the right amount of time at each location. The Mercedes minibus was very comfortable and new. The only thing I felt could be improved upon was the temple of Demeter. I knew before booking that our guide wouldn’t be a licensed xenago, and therefore wouldn’t be able to go inside the temple with us, but I hoped we’d be given more information outside the temple.

Great experience!

I had no idea what to expect, but it sounded like a fun way to spend a few hours. It turned out to be one of my favorite activities of a month-long trip! Maggie has incredible talent as an artist and teacher. She has set up a beautiful location for teaching her classes. It was harder physically than I had expected, but I thoroughly enjoyed the class and the entire experience.

A lot of beautiful cultural locations in just a short time. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the local culture. We really enjoyed the pottery class watching generations of craftsmanship making it look easy. The ancient temple which pre-dated the Parthenon was very impressive. Recommend this tour.

The cooking class was so fun, and Anna was an amazing teacher! We loved the entire experience—from making fried Gruyère cheese, to the main dish of noodles with tomato sauce and beef, and of course the orange pie for dessert! Yum!! She took us on a tour of the village and shared many stories with us. We had the absolute best afternoon!! We will recommend this class to anyone who is traveling g to Naxos!!

We had a great time on...

We had a great time on this boat cruise! Late September brought a cloudy and windy day, so a good portion of the journey was COLD, but we managed with plenty of layers and towels as blankets. We really liked our seats in the raised section at the front of the boat—we avoided most of the sea spray and foot traffic while still having a great view. Definitely arrive early if you want first choice in seats. We skipped swimming at the first stop because it was so chilly, but we were able to be first in line for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the food! The meat was grilled right on the boat, and everything else tasted incredibly fresh for being prepared in bulk. We especially loved getting to explore another island. Koufonisi was beautiful and gave us true small-island Mamma Mia vibes. We also lucked out with some sunshine at Rina Cave, where we were able to swim all the way into the cave and watch some of the braver guests cliff-jump. If swimming is important to you, get in the water quickly—the time goes by fast at the swimming stops! The bathrooms were also surprisingly better than I anticipated based on other reviews. They aren’t huge, but they were decently clean and there was enough space to change out of my swimsuit after swimming. There is definitely a lot of sailing time. I had seen some negative comments about the amount of time spent traveling between destinations, but I actually think that’s an important part of the experience. The scenery is incredible, and I loved getting to see the islands from the water. Our guides even got on the microphone a few times to tell us about some of the islands we could see and were passing. I would’ve loved even more information from the guides throughout the day! Overall, we really enjoyed our day and would recommend this experience!

Great Tour

We were two couples on this tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned so many things about Naxos. The driver/guide Marios was excellent, very knowledgeable and had a great personality. We loved visiting the mountain villages and learning the history of each one. By the end of the tour we felt as if Marios was part of our family.

Fantastic crew, great food, and beautiful swim stops

We had a fantastic day on this cruise and would highly recommend it. Captain Akis and Joanna were wonderful hosts throughout the trip. Akis did an excellent job navigating the conditions and choosing the best swimming locations based on the weather, while Joanna made sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. We visited beautiful spots around Paros and Naxos and enjoyed three swim stops in total. Although it was quite windy during our mid-September sailing, the crew selected sheltered areas, and the weather was warm and sunny, making for a great experience. The food was also very good. Throughout the day, we were served snacks, a tasty lunch, and fresh fruit before returning. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable.

Thankful for this Experience

We spent the day with Nicholas and Vlada (both amazing hosts) some folks from France and Italy, and us Canadians. Such an enjoyable experience. The hospitality, the extras, the food and fun we had, it will be a forever highlight of our trip! We had our 12 and 15 year old with us, it was a very windy day with lots of waves and our ride back was so much fun. Be wild, sit up front and enjoy! The only thing to mention, we were racing down to be there before 8am so the boat didn’t leave without us… I don’t even think they boarded us til 8:45am. Maybe message ahead and let your kids sleep in longer!
