Magda, our guide, did a great job showing us around Little Italy. The food was generally pretty good, and Pappalecco was terrific. Note: We were asked to transfer from the Gaslamp tour because we were the only two people reserved for that tour. I'm not sure why attendance was so low on a Memorial Day weekend with perfect weather, but Magda hosts both tours.

Magda was a very good and knowledgeable guide, and the choices of restaurants was an eclectic set of cuisines (Mexican, Greek and Irish). She and the restaurants were very accommodating with our late addition to the tour (prompted by the late cancellation of our other food tour).

Fun Sunday in Gaslamp!
We had a really nice tour of the Gaslamp District, led by Ben. We had four stops and enjoyed the drink/food tasting at each one. All of the stops were efficient and kind to our group. Ben taught us a lot of new info about San Diego, and provided recommendations for the rest of our trip. He is friendly, funny, and clearly has a passion for his work. We went on a Sunday at 11am, and this was a nice time to go as it wasn’t too crowded!

Just do it!
This is a fun way to eat your way around town while learning some history. The portions were BIG (more than bites), the pours were BIG (more than a taste), and our guide BEN was great - and we were glad to have the walking in-between eating stops!

Don't Miss this tour
Our tour guide Benedict was FANTASTIC!! The food was all great and included an alcoholic drink at each stop if desired. Even the ice cream stop has a few and the Kalua chip was so creamy and delicious. We will definitely visit some of those spots again when visiting San Diego. He was very knowledgeable about the History of the Gaslamp Quater and San Diego in general. We Definitely recommend this tour.
