Discover Runde Island on an excursion from Ålesund that combines coastal scenery, history, and nature. We will make a stop at Overåsanden Beach in Hjørungavåg, as well as at Rundebrua, the bridge connecting Runde to the mainland. On the island, we will hike approximately 45 minutes each way to the cliffs where Atlantic puffins nest. The trail is about 4.5 km round trip, with an elevation gain of approximately 200–300 metres and a steep initial ascent. There will be time to observe the puffins in their natural habitat and enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, dramatic cliffs, and the mountains of the Norwegian coast. We may also spot other seabirds such as gannets, fulmars, and skuas, as well as the majestic white-tailed eagle soaring along the coastline. A moderate level of fitness is required. Chasing the Northern Lights with Wandering Owl

An unforgettable aurora hunting experience with Wandering Owl! Magda, our knowledgeable guide, and Ilain, our driver, were determined to find the best aurora and they absolutely delivered! We saw some of the brightest, crispest Northern Lights, enjoyed warm food and drinks by a bonfire, and received beautiful tour photos the very next day. Amazing night out!

It was a wonderful day experience. Erika was a great guide. We chased the Northern Lights and found a very good spot. This was made even better by the campfire and the snacks that we shared. Our driver Rogers was also very good. All in all worth every bit and would definitely recommend it.

Five stars: a fantastic whale watching trip, with a brilliant crew

We were upfront told when boarding that the trip might not go ahead as planned, because the sea was quite wavy. The crew explained that we could give it a try, with the chance of turning back halfway, and that rescheduling or a refund would be offered if that happened. I really appreciated that honesty and flexibility. As it turned out, we were lucky with the weather and the trip went ahead all the way. The staff were helpful and friendly from start to finish, and whenever I asked for help, they were always happy to give it. During the whale watching itself, the crew answered all my questions and were clearly very knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see a big group of orcas, and even an eagle, which made the trip feel extra special. The presentations on the journey were a real highlight. Mateo's talk on polar bear tracking was especially interesting, full of fascinating insight into life in the Arctic. It made the time between sightings just as engaging. A great experience overall, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting Tromsø.

Totally worth it !!

We are a family of four (1 toddler and 1 infant) and we had an amazing experience! The cruise boat was well maintained and the crew was very friendly. Although the weather wasn’t great enough, it was mostly rainy and windy, we enjoyed the cruise at most. We highly recommend it to everyone!

I tried a tour with my 9-year-old. Fortunately, the weather was good, and I was able to see many beautiful auroras. It was easy to participate because the large bus with a restroom was warm inside and allowed for breaks at any time. We warmed up by the bonfire, made hot dogs, and had hot chocolate. You took so many beautiful pictures, and I was able to download them for free later. It was a tour that satisfied the whole family.

Bjarte was the best guide and the sights are beautiful

Bjarte was the best guide ever, he went out of his way to show us as much of the area as possible, including some surprise stops! Bjarte was such a lovely person and I felt honoured to spend the day with him. The tour itself was amazing, the viewpoint and fjords boat tour was beautiful. We also did the Viking tour, the guide on that tour was also very nice and informative. When you get to Flam, try the beer flight at Ægir BrewPub - get a spot inside by the fire. Magic lights

Even though we traveled outside of Tromso because it was cloudy, the team was tireless and made the uncertain, certain. Fabulous! Congratulations to the entire team that made the decision to camp in Skibotn and trust that the sky would open in that place. As the minutes passed, the sky became starry and the Northern lights began to appear. First timidly until we were graced with a magical ball that moved the group, recording in photograph a memory that will last a lifetime. Thanks to Matias on behalf of the whole team.

Aurora hunters extraordinaire

I can’t express how much fun I had. Barbora, Dimitar, Alex were very efficient, highly coordinated in tracking the northern lights and provided amazing informative and fun facts and stories to share around the campfire. We got really lucky to experience a strong aurora that night and the team had been fantastic in capturing the moment for us. A 10 on everything

We did the husky experience on Monday, March 30, 2026 and it was amazing. As it was in English we were provided with a colleague who spoke Spanish for the explanation and the guide even if he did not speak Spanish said some words during the course. Very friendly and involved and all very concerned about our safety. The girl who greeted us was very friendly and also after the snow experience served us chocolate, coffee , tea and cakes totally homemade. It was a unique and unmatched experience, the price totally reasonable. At first I felt bad about hiring the tour but when I saw how they have the animals super well taken care of, they are strong dogs and you can tell they are full of love and affection. The minibus that picked us up was new and all the facilities were nice and quality including the Sami hut where we did the last tasting A 10 for the Tromsø team and for the company investing in quality

It was amazing to see the...

It was amazing to see the reindeer herd in their natural environment. It was great to be able to feed them and wander through the herd. We loved the short reindeer ride and appreciated the woollen blanket. The favourite bit for me was the free hot chocolate and biscuits which were available for the duration of the visit. We enjoyed learning about the Sami culture too.

Reindeer sledding

Reindeer sledding was so much fun. I chose this adventure through Viator because of the length of the sledding experience. It was much longer than any I had seen. We had fun first feeding the reindeer and then being pulled through a beautiful snowy pastureland overlooking a fjord. Afterwards we learned about the Sami people and enjoyed a lunch of reindeer stew. There was a small gift shop on the property with unique items to remember this day by. This is a “must do” experience.
