A scenic and memorable excursion in Iceland to the majestic Godafoss Waterfall. Godafoss is one of the most spectacular and historic waterfalls in Iceland. The name means the "waterfall of the gods". The waterfall is about 12 meters high (36 feet) and 30 meters wide (90 feet), and it forms a horseshoe shape that creates a stunning spectacle of water and mist. You will have about 45 minutes to explore the waterfall and take photos of this natural wonder. After admiring the waterfall, you will board the bus again and head back to Akureyri but not exactly the same way. You will drive through the beautiful Fnjoskadalur Valley, up to the mountains and down to the Eyjafordur Bay with astonishing view. The Eyjafjordur Bay is the longest in Iceland, and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Before you arrive to Akureyri the bus will stop at the Akureyri Viewpoint so you can enjoy the view over the town of Akureyri, the Bay and the mountains, and take pictures!

From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Siggy, was charming, delightful, and knowledgeable. She truly made the food tour great. And the food. Holy cow. Every bite was delicious (ok, maybe not the fermented shark, but Siggy made that fun!). Truly, the food was amazing. Definitely recommend this food tour, great good, great guide, great night!

Superb tour!

Tom, our driver / guide gave a houmous and insightful talk about the attractions on the tour and all things Icelandic! The bus was well driven and was comfortable and clean. The Dynjandi waterfall was spectacular and we had plenty if time there. We had a very warm welcome at the farm, offered a hot drink (tea, coffee, or hot chocolate) and a piece of the superb 'happy marriage cake. There was also good access to the animals with the farmer answering questions on farm life in this area of the country. Tom sang a traditional Icelandic song on the way back to Isafjordur. Perfect tour - Thank you!

Beautiful Iceland South Coast.

Firstly, easy pick up locations in Reykjavik made it easy for both pick up and drop off. The tour lasted all day about 10 hours. Beautiful sights on the South Coast is a must- the waterfalls, black sand beach, the scenery along the way. All amazing. Be sure to dress in layers and wear waterproof jacket at the waterfalls. The one drawback, though was the place we stopped for lunch. It was not great, poor service, no where to sit because all bus tours stop there. It would’ve been better to eat somewhere else. But the tour itself was great!

Pick up at cruise port was smooth. The lagoon is clean, beautiful, unique, and an experience only had in Iceland. You can stay as long as you want at the lagoon and the bus picks up every hour to return to cruise ship ;as long as you purchase transfer).

Superb Experience from Start to Finish! Far Superior to Blue Lagoon and Fontana!

We had a truly elite spa experience at Sky Lagoon! My wife and I went to 5 different Geothermal Spas while in Iceland this past week and this was BY FAR the best of the lot. We were greatly impressed from the moment we checked in. The staff was super helpful, professional and welcoming. It was also great to have a private changing and showering option with the "Ser" package. I cannot speak to how the "Saman" locker room and showers looked, but the cleanliness, comfort and privacy provided on the "Ser" side could not be beat! Regarding the lagoon itself, we were once again so very impressed. You start by walking down this wide path from the locker room steps through warm, geothermally heated water for about 50 feet, then take a turn which opens up into the larger lagoon. It is truly a WOW moment when you turn that corner. You're then met with a wide open space that features an extended infinity edge facing the ocean, a waterfall feature off to the right and some rock seating features to the left, off to the side of the swim up bar. Additionally, we noticed that there were no kids, which kept the environment tranquil and relaxed. We also noted that the sulphur smell was virtually non-existent! I'm not sure how exactly they pulled that off, but it proved to be a MAJOR advantage over the other lagoons we tried. Facility also offers a sauna, which was a bit too hot for our taste, but still a nice offering. Overall, if you had to pick one geothermal spa experience while in Iceland, this is THE ONE!

Great sensory experience

The full sensory experience - you can see and smell the lava and feel the heat. We also got to touch (and keep) a small piece of lava as part of our package. Although other facilities explain about a lava etc, this one enables you to experience it. It seemed quick because it was so interesting. The only hesitation I have is the location- unless you are part of a bus tour. We ordered a car thru Hreyfill but they did not even allocate us a car for over 15 minutes . However we saw public buses stopped across the parking area out front and the drivers were very kind explaining to us how best to get to Perlan. A shuttle bus would have been helpful.

Greatest show on earth!

This tour was amazing! Our guide was very friendly and informative, giving little snippets of information as we started our tour, pointing out various birds, puffins and even a dolphin. We had an incredible experience seeing a pod of 4 t were feeding so they were pretty much staying in 1 place and putting on quite a show! The boat captain and crew did a great job maneuvering the boat quickly so everyone was able to watch these beautiful creatures!

What an experience!

Thoroughly read the email from the company beforehand so you know what to wear under the dry suit. It was our own fault for not reading everything so we had to scramble a little bit. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. Isabella was our guide and she was wonderful. She made a memorable experience even more enjoyable. The water is crystal clear all throughout. I was a little concerned about being cold in the water but I was completely comfortable. Definitely do this if you go to Iceland!

Super cool trip!

Super fun tour, within a nice 2-3hr window so not too long. We booked through Arctic Adventures. Fun drive in the jeep to the glacier - expect it to be bumpy :) ice caves were very cool - what you will see will depend on time of year and how much the glacier has melted etc. We went in August-from what the guide was saying perhaps it is better a month before. But still loved it!

Great overall experience and very funny guide!

Excellent way to experience more than just the ice caves! Not only did we get to go into a beautiful, man made, ice cave, we made several stops along the way. We stopped to take some pics near small mountains, some plains, and finished up with a ride on the beach! Kate was a a very good guide and had some of the most amazing dry humor you could ever love. Five stars and one of those can't miss when in the area. Thank you!
