A scenic and memorable excursion in Iceland to the majestic Godafoss Waterfall. Godafoss is one of the most spectacular and historic waterfalls in Iceland. The name means the "waterfall of the gods". The waterfall is about 12 meters high (36 feet) and 30 meters wide (90 feet), and it forms a horseshoe shape that creates a stunning spectacle of water and mist. You will have about 45 minutes to explore the waterfall and take photos of this natural wonder. After admiring the waterfall, you will board the bus again and head back to Akureyri but not exactly the same way. You will drive through the beautiful Fnjoskadalur Valley, up to the mountains and down to the Eyjafordur Bay with astonishing view. The Eyjafjordur Bay is the longest in Iceland, and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Be prepared for a good amount of walking. So much to see in a limited time so manage time well. Better to be fit to fully enjoy the experience. See Strokkur first before eating lunch or snack at the Geysir center to allow for more time for Strokkur geysir.

Wonderful trip was icing on the Icelandic cake

Well informed all the way to the day of the trip. Excellent pick up and onward journey. Great guide, Ritchie, with his fund of knowledge on local music, ancient Norse history and geology. Kept us entertained all the way. Good driver Bjossi. Fantastic day of sun, glaciers, volcanos, geyser, waterfalls, arctic tundra. Every stop had places to eat and drink.

Such a great and unique...

Such a great and unique experience, highly recommend. The tour guide was great at keeping us informed and accommodating our last minute sign up. As an American on the plus size, I was nervous about the wet suit sizing. I had not read many reviews talking about fits or seeing photos of people similar to my sizing in the various tours I looked at. Luckily, we were able to fit into the suit and I noticed they even had a few that were bigger. (Womens XL fit at home) I’ve never been in a wet suit before. It was a positive experience at keeping you from getting too cold. The team talked us through and helped us put on our gear, it was much needed! Recommendations- make sure to have good quality base layer on. Bring a hairbrush, chapstick, and face moisturizer as they are subject to the water. Book a hot springs that night. Hardest part of the whole event was walking back in the wet suit, it’s manageable though. And your neck will be sore after lugging around your head gear especially if you’ve never experienced a wet suit before, I wish I had brought icy hot. Not sure if this is the same for everyone. Either way — Definitely would recommend!

Exceptional experience with one caution

We had very good time with the snorkeling and the team of divers. Everything else was great, however I would advise to keep your personal items, valuable belongings in vehicle or with family members not doing the tour. We had almost lost our wallets and phones, as they gave the bags to other team without confirming that it was empty and we had removed all items after completing the event.

Whales and Dolphins!!

If you were debating whether it’s worth it, it is, 100%. We got to see whales and dolphins up close as well as getting a chance to take in the stunning scenery in the bay. The guides are all marine biologists and so know what they’re talking about too. One thing, wrap up warm, it gets cold!

Five stops, delicious tastings, well organized, much more food than we expected. Rosie was a fun, informative guide, and based on our experience with her, we've returned to two of the restaurants for full meals. It was definitely a good choice for us immediately after our red-eye flight while we waited to check in to our hotel. Just enough walking between stops, and good information about Reykjavik history and culture, too!

Extremely long tour be...

Extremely long tour be prepared, our Driver Dylan was exceptional very knowledgeable on where we were what we were seeing, a lot of stops for bathroom and food. Some could be a little longer a little rushed when eating supper. Wish they had the hotel. Pickup had to walk pretty good distance to the Pickup point but did drop us off closer to hotel after the tour ended.

Beyond Expectations!

This "SPA" went beyond my expectations!! The lagoon was massive and clean, with a gorgeous view of a lake. We hung put there for as long as we liked. They also had a bar for refreshments, a nice touch. The seven steps was amazing. I recommend bringing a waterproof sack for your phone, you will want photos and we did not get any of our own.

A Must See in Iceland 🧊

Wow – what an experience! How often do you get the chance to go into an ice cave let alone one in Iceland? This is easily one of my favorite highlight moments from Iceland and favorite images I captured. Our tour guide was superb – he was very knowledgeable and funny! The group is intimate, about ~15 people and everyone was an all around vibe. Highly recommend.

Super cool trip!

Super fun tour, within a nice 2-3hr window so not too long. We booked through Arctic Adventures. Fun drive in the jeep to the glacier - expect it to be bumpy :) ice caves were very cool - what you will see will depend on time of year and how much the glacier has melted etc. We went in August-from what the guide was saying perhaps it is better a month before. But still loved it!
