Humpbacks!
The captain and guide were both great. They give you float suits that seem silly at first and then you learn to love them. It’s very windy and cold. Bring a hat and gloves. The ride is long (about 40 minutes) but it’s so beautiful, it goes by quickly. We saw many dolphins swimming with our boat. The whales were spectacular! We saw 2 humpbacks who were feeding near the surface, so they were visible multiple times. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour to Lake Myvatn, Godafoss waterfall, lava fields and mud pools - wonderful guide Sandra and Saga Tours
4 great locations to visit. Wear layers and have a waterproof with you. Waterproof walking shoes too if possible. Paths are generally good but some times steep and uneven at the lava field and slippery at the mud pools. Take midge net and spray for lake area. Use bathrooms as soon as you arrive to avoid long wait when busy. Be prepared to pay for bathrooms at some locations unless you are buying something check with guide. Really quick to find Saga reps right outside the port passenger exit and short walk to bus for those on a cruise. Would use Viator, and Saga travel again.

We really enjoyed this...
We really enjoyed this tour even though we had some bus issues. Our tour guide was so sweet and really gave us so much wonderful information. When we had to wait for a replacement bus, she took us down river from the Godafoss waterfall for a really special view and taught us about the plants of the area.

Godfass, Lake and Earth Hot bath
Excellent tour with great driver/tour director Tom for Iceland.
He was informative, very knowledgeable & shared interesting stories that made the trip fun. The falls are one of the most scenic. For those who enjoy a short hike it was a special treat to be able to hike up to the base of the waterfall.

Relaxing Experience
With the shuttle being right at the cruise pier it was easy to get to the lagoon. The lagoon was not crowded and not touristy, many locals go to this lagoon. Beautiful view of the fjord. Changing rooms and shower facilities very clean. The drink selection at the swim-up bars is somewhat limited, but this did not lessen the experience. A very reasonable price especially considering transportation was included.

Great experience!
This was one of the highlights of our time in Iceland! Goðafoss is absolutely breathtaking, and the excursion was well organized from start to finish.
Our guide, Neil, truly made the experience exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. Throughout the tour, he shared interesting information about Iceland’s history, culture, and landscape while making everyone feel welcome. He was also happy to answer questions and made sure everyone had plenty of time to enjoy the waterfall and take photos without feeling rushed.
If you’re visiting Akureyri, I highly recommend this excursion. The scenery is incredible, and if you’re lucky enough to have Neil as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic experience!

Godafoss great excursion
Great excursion. Met at the cruise terminal and show to the minibus by our guide Marvin.
We were given information on the journey to the falls and then he was happy to answer any questions. After our stop we had coffee and local donut at the hotel that was provided free. Our return journey was same route but again more info from our great guide.
A fabulous excursion that we highly recommend. Good job Saga Travel. 👏🏻👏🏻🚢

Beautiful views
Bathroom on this specific bus was not working. Guide was super nice and friendly. Got us back-and-forth on time allowed an hour at the waterfall. Waterfall was amazing. Wish we had had more time to stay there because it takes a good hour to walk and get all the pictures you want. Not a lot of time for a shopping or getting a coffee.

Perfect Blend of History, Scenic Beauty and Relaxing Fun
This tour is the perfect blend of history, natural beauty and relaxing fun. Seeing the rock house museum provided the most informative look at the past that we’ve seen in Iceland and the views were breathtaking. The natural beauty of the Waterfall of the Gods was unmatched. The Forest Lagoon was one of the funnest experiences of our trip. If you’re modest, bring your own larger towel and search for the more private shower stalls. You can book the disabled changing/shower room ahead of time also. The shower room attendants are very militant and insist that you disrobe, drop your towel, etc. The check in and check out was relatively simple for such a large group. We definitely could have spent more time here. The driver dropped some guests at the city center for shopping at the tour’s end. Michel was a kind, informed and fun guide. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Perfect Tour for Those not able walk too far.
This tour was the perfect length of time. We rode in a comfy bus by the Touring Viking. Our driver was an Islamic native and perfect in his role as driver and tour guide. He spoke of the local history, told stories of folklore and threw in the perfect amount of humor. The waterfalls were stunning and the OLD house built into the side of the hills with tunnels between the rooms. Our tour ended with a stop at a Christmas House. Very nice.

We saw humpback whales!
It was such a great adventure and we managed to see humpback whales! The sea was very choppy this morning and some of the guests had very bad seasickness but nevertheless the guides were very professional and constantly looking after us. The guide was also very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the sea life in Iceland from him.

Fantastic trip with the most amazing scenery
We were given the option when booking of 9am or 10am, so chose the 10am as we were on a late night Northern Lights tour the night before. At 9am on the day of the trip we had a call to ask where we were, to be told there was no 10am option! Luckily we were ready and our guide actually came to our apartment to pick us up! During the trip we heard a mention of thermal baths, but this wasnt on the trip we had booked, and we hadnt brought swimming gear! We purposely chose this trip for that reason as we had a trip booked for the Forest Lagoon the following day, so didn't want to do 2 'spa' trips. Our guide from 'The Travelling Viking' was very understanding and took photos of our booking and itinerary to feed back to Viator, as this was not the fault of her company. Due to this, we did find ourselves with 2 hours to fill at the Thermal Baths, so ended up buying coffee and a sandwich and spending the time in the cafe, along with a short walk around the area outside.
Aside from this, we dont want to take anything away from 'The Travelling Viking' as the day was amazing, our guide was fantastic, giving us lots of information and stories along the way. We went to the most amazing places and saw the most beautiful scenery we could ever imagine. A full day out and a magical experience.
10/10 for the travelling viking, the guide and the trip, 5/10 for viator. Viator need to make sure the time and the itinerary is updated, as we could easily have missed the trip if it wasnt for the guide, and we would have been extremely disappointed to have missed an amazing day out.
