Excellent trip!

We travelled to Isafordur on a P&O cruise ship & booked the trip via Viator for a lot less than P&O were charging. We were picked up and dropped back at the cruise ship. Our guide Tomas was fantastic. He was hilarious and gave us so much real interesting information. It really made the trip so special and Tomas’s information gave us a real flavour of Iceland. The scenery was stunning and the waterfall is fantastic and well worth seeing. We had a lovely stop at a small farm for a coffee and local cake which was all included and had lovely views.

Great excursion

We booked this as a shore excursion from Isafjordur while aboard the Celebrity Silhouette. Communication from Viator was excellent. Finding our tour was super easy. We arrived early and were placed on a minibus that still had 2 spaces available. At first we balked at it because my husband and I were separated. He was happy in his single seat and I made new friends in the back row. Our driver was great. The trip to Dynjandi was beautiful. Those tunnels are crazy. We had a typical Icelandic summer day - cool and rainy. The waterfall was beautiful. I felt we had ample time to explore. We made some photo stops and a brief stop in a village on the way back. I wish we had more time in the village but other than that everything was great and of course the weather cleared up as we returned to the port. This was my first time booking with Viator and I would recommend them to anyone. So easy. Great excursion.

The best tour guide and...

The best tour guide and driver! He is a hometown guy! Knows so much and shares. Very wonderful. Long walk out to waterfall, but flat pavers. No problems for walking. The café has wonderful hot chocolate. Pay toilets using credit cards. On the drive back, our driver stopped for photos across from dock and town, then showed us through his town. We had the best day!

Amazing small group tour!

Very much enjoyed the small group over the large bus tours. The late afternoon was nice as most of the bigger tours were leaving when we arrived. Plenty of time to walk up to the falls. Enjoy the secret tour to see the small towns. Simon our guide was very thorough and provided lots of interesting facts.

Nice tour

The waterfall was absolutely spectacular, and the tour allowed plenty of time to explore, take photos, and truly enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Our guide, Jonathan, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tour even more enjoyable with his insights and stories. We also appreciated the short stop in town, where we had the opportunity to purchase coffee and a light lunch before continuing on. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with a great balance of sightseeing, exploration, and learning about the area.

Wonderful! Yes, we saw whales, and it was also a sacred and moving experience. The guide's love and knowledge of whales was contagious. It was beautiful to experience the whales through his eyes. He also let us hold baleen and see whale tail pictures to help us identify which ones we were seeing. Delightful experience! (We went in July)

Perfect trip! I would highly recommend booking this experience

Loved our trip out to the falls! Even though the day was rainy and cold, our guide made this experience well worth it. After our visit to the falls, the off-road portion of the trip was very exciting, and the climb ended with a breathtaking 360 view.
