What are people saying about Yorkshire

Great tour and host!
Really enjoyed the tour and Dan was a great storyteller! It was a fantastic way to explore the city and would recommend it especially if you are new to York. Sadly, we had to slip away 10-15 mins before the tour finished as my daughter was feeling unwell so unfortunately missed the end.

Mad Alice Bloody Tour / Lady Pekett
Fantastic fun .Lady Pekett was an outstanding guide and gruesome story teller.I attended with my son (11 years old) . I didn't know what to expect as had never been on a guided tour, very entertaining and engaging , we both thoroughly enjoyed the tour ,a great way to spend the evening .

Ellie is brilliant
Ellie was amazing and the tour went by fast.
Ellie knew her history and made the tour enjoyable as well as keeping the spooky side going even though it was light and the height of Summer.
Her humour was spot on and myself and my daughter highly recommend this tour

A perfect day trip from York
This was a lovely day in the countryside. Because we were in a van rather than a huge bus, we were able to travel by the smaller roads past hedgerows and stone walls, enjoying the beautiful scenery, while stopping in some charming villages and eating far too much cheese at the Wensleydale Creamery. John, our guide and driver, was entertaining and informative, and the whole day was great fun.
(I also really appreciated the clear directions to the meeting point. I found it immediately and that's not always the case!)

Definitely worth it!
This was a really fun day. Our driver/guide Steve was interesting and friendly and funny. We got to see the Yorkshire Moors, ride an old-fashioned, steam train, and stood at the platform that served as the Hogeade Station in the first Harry Potter film. We also spent a couple of hours at Whitby, a charming town full of history, with a ruined Abbey that has some Dracula connections. Definitely worth the trip!

Fantastic evening!
The tour was beyond expectation. Our guide was David and he was amazing from start to finish. We was all hooked and completely absorbed into the grizzly tales. His sense of humour and character kept us all amused. Haven’t laughed as much in years. This tour is a must. Absolutely brilliant

fun with chocolate
If you love chocolate and want to make your own bar with a choice of flavour, then go for it.
Our teacher was knowledgeable and presented the whole process of chocolate making, starting with cocoa pods, in a very accessible way for all ages. It was great fun to make your own chocolate bar, choosing your own flavour, and a range of other treats added into the chocolate to design your own chocolate bar.

A Tour Not to Be Missed!!
Lee was a fantastic guide! This tour offered so many amazing adventures in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
We were able to see many sites from All Creatures Great and Small, including the village where the show is filmed, Helen‘s father‘s house, and the church that is in many of the scenes.
In addition, we saw exceptional scenery, a beautiful waterfall, and ended at the Bolton Castle.
This trip is highly recommended for anyone who wants to see the beauty of this area.

Wonderful tour with an excellent guide/driver
Mark, our tour guide, was amazing! His narration, instructions were clear, articulate. & accurate. His driving was attentive & smooth. He was always concerned for our comfort & did all he could to give us a very positive experience. The small group of guests (approx 15) was just the right size for friendly conversations during the day. We even had dinner afterwards with a fellow traveler we met on the bus. We highly recommend this tour.

Real good
It was really good very entertaining, my child is 11 yrs and most of the other children were 6/8 yrs so very good for younger children but bit boring for my child he needed older stuff , I would definitely recommend for younger kids it was great, do it to keep the kids entertained and tired after the walk.. really good in my opinion

First time in a dungeon,...
First time in a dungeon, wasn't really sure what to expect. It was out of the comfort zone booking, but we truly enjoyed.
The performances and entertainment was absolutely amazing, kids aging from 7-14 got really engaged. The show wasn't only entertaining, it was informative too, we learn few new facts on local history.
Great performances, if you enjoy good sense of humour and don't take offence easily, would really recommend..

The most comprehensive York tour in all of York.
Dave is so knowledgable and truly joyful about his history niche that this tour is overloaded with reasons to go. It was unique in that it was open-ended - as long as we wanted to make the tour. He offered an all-day option - though I left after 3 ish hours and a lovely coffee break, during which Dave also demonstrated his James Bond trivia expanse. Rarely does one see someone so enjoying his job.
