Amazing walking tour led by George. His storytelling was great, vibrant and funny. Loved the ghost stories and the historical/architectural facts along the way too! Perfect evening activity :)
Elly (spelling) did a great job telling us some of York's ghost stories as she guided us through the city.
I dont know what we actually expected and sadly this tour didnt deliver on our low expectations! The tour was the quietest tour with the fewest people and with a guide not dressed up... unlike others we saw, so for us, It felt less engaging or believable as no effort made.
The information about various locations was then spoilt by references to the 21st century so the previous ghostly story was lost. It was too long in our opinion!
It is a very enjoyable 2 hour walk around York with interesting ghost stories. Ellie was very entertaining and managed to keep the interest of three young teenage boys.
Have been on ghost tours in York previously so expected a guide who was dressed up and theatrical - sadly not. Amiable enough young woman but looked like your average student. Did enjoy some of the fascinating facts along the way but the stories tended to drag on. Frankly I got a bit bored. Disappointing.

This is a fun, informative, and slightly creepy walk through the main areas and alleyways of York. Lou was an amazing storyteller, never stumbling over words or getting lost in the tale. One of the longer ghost tours in town and well worth the money! We even scored a cute crocheted ghostie as a souvenir! Highly recommended for all ages and abilities!
We had such a brilliant time on the York Ghost Tour yesterday with Lu! 👻 They were fantastic — funny, engaging and a brilliant storyteller, bringing York’s spooky history to life in such an entertaining way. The tour was really enjoyable from start to finish, with just the right mix of history, ghost stories and humour. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Lu’s tour to anyone visiting York. 👻✨
Unfortunately the tour guide was not a great story teller. He was lovely and enthusiastic but possibly inexperienced. We have booked several city ghost tours over the past few years and this is the only one that we have left half way through due to the poor delivery of the stories of the area.
We really enjoyed this tour and Molly was a fantastic storyteller. We appreciated her enthusiasm and local knowledge. We were looking for a tour that wasn't corny or theatrical, so this tour was exactly what we were looking for.

Lou and Orla were amazing story tellers! Loved learning about Yorks spooky history and would love to explore the city even more! Defo recommend even as the only solo traveller in the group! It wasn’t awkward and just followed along with the rest of the group easily.

Ellie knew her history and made the tour enjoyable as well as keeping the spooky side going even though it was light and the height of Summer.

Lou was an excellent story teller. He took us right back in time, giving us a real feel for the historic time period when recounting his ghostly tales.

Great couple of hours walking through historic York. Lou made it very interesting & informative & fun while informing us of spooky goings on in various places we visited. Excellent valve for money & suitable for all ages.
Lou was fantastic and knowledgeable. He was engaging and fun to listen to. We had a range of ages in our group and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Our youngest was 13 and has talked about it ever since.
Had a great Ghost walk in York with Lew (or is it spelt Lou??). He was a really good guide. We picked this tour as it wasn't people jumping out and scaring us. We wanted to find out a bit of Ghostly history of York and we did. It was a really fun experience. There were only 9 in our group which was a nice number and felt very personal. We saw other groups that night with at least 30 people in them, we wouldn't have wanted that as felt we would have missed so much. Very interesting and fascinating facts about York, really enjoyed the evening
