John was great. He has wonderful knowledge of the area and history. It was fascinating. We enjoyed every stop on the tour. John was funny, entertaining and an excellent guide. We loved the creamery, we loved getting to see the filming sites of "All Creatures Great & Small", we loved the history, we loved the castle. Just an amazing tour!

My spouse and I really enjoyed our tour today. John knew the area, was a true fan of our favorite show, and we had a lovely time. Having never been north, He was the perfect guide. An entire part of England was opened up to us. We will be returning. Thank you John!

The Yorkshire Dales are absolutely gorgeous, and the trip was well-timed, with opportunities for photos, bites to eat and shopping along the way. The bus was lovely and comfy and all-in-all it was all very well planned, logistically.
The highlight for my daughters and I, however, was our guide John. He was an absolute delight, and so knowledgeable of not only the natural and political history of the area, but he also knew something of the locals, which really brought the whole experience alive for us.
We had the most wonderful day out and are already planning when we can visit York again to do another tour with Mountain Goat.

Fantastic day outside of York! We enjoyed listening to history and current information about the Yorkshire Dales. We booked this tour to see the country side for us the ‘All creatures great and small’ was added information.

Shared continuous information both current and historically. He was very welcoming which made this tour very enjoyable! We would never have seen the things we did or understand what happened in each area, the little pieces of history and landmarks he pointed out was amazing!
I loved seeing the farms and would love to been able to take some more photos of the English cattle and sheep and a visit to the farmers ice cream shop would have been fitting to a perfect day! Would happily do this tour again in Summer!

Fabulous way to see the Dales and learn about the people and history.
Ben A was so knowledgeable and friendly. Comfortable bus. Great itinerary. Lunch at the Wensleydale Creamery allowed lots of different options. Visited a couple of beautiful churches too. Worth noting that in Nov Bolton Castle is closed so unable to go inside. Even in the rain the countryside is stunning and Aysgarth Falls spectacular. Thoroughly recommend the trip.

This tour was the perfect way to explore the Yorkshire Dales. John, our driver and guide, was absolutely amazing. We saw the major All Creatures sites, which was fantastic, but this tour was so much more! Throughout the day, John explained the history of the area and shared so many interesting stories and information. He was wonderful about giving us an overview of our plans for the day and was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Although it was raining during a portion of the day, it did not negatively affect our experience - we were actually able to see so many beautiful waterfalls throughout the area due to the rain that we would have missed if the weather had been perfect. The Dales are truly a beautiful spot in this planet and I highly recommend leaving the driving to this tour group as some of the roads are crazy narrow/can be flooded and it was so relaxing to be able to enjoy the scenery and not worry about having a car. Book this tour! You will be so glad that you did.

John was an amazing driver and tour guide. He shared such interesting history/ general info about the Yorkshire Dales. Very interesting info- not a boring moment. I went on this tour because I’m a big fan of All Creatures Great and Small, but even if you weren’t a fan, I think you’d still enjoy the stops and John’s commentary along the way. Plus, he’s just a really nice and pleasant fellow. Good sense of humor, too. Beautiful scenery and picturesque stops on this tour. Highly recommend!
