Cornelius provided a fun tour around the city - giving us interesting insights in a fun and informative fashion. This was a great introduction to York and took us into parts of the city we wouldn’t gave otherwise discovered.
This was a most enjoyable and informative walk.
Our "Witch"guide, Cornelius, made the whole event very interesting with his vast knowledge of not only York's history, especially in its past witchcraft activities, but also of other parts of the country.
Very much worth noting, also, was Cornelius's very entertaining and at times humorous delivery of tales and facts.
Unfortunately the last third of our walk was seriously interrupted by an enormous rainstorm complete with thunder and lightning and soaking everyone
Our witch, however, battled bravely on, keeping us all entertained and interested to the bitter end. Bravo, Cornelius!!
A wonderful tour by a very talented witch/actor ! He played his role convincingly and had a tremendous amount of fun doing so. His knowledge of history in this incredibly medieval town was extremely informative. We had a great time watching and enjoying his performance. Thank you, Isaac!

Enjoyable tour around York’s centre, learning about the history of local witches and York’s history. Nutmeg shared her knowledge through story telling with good humour. Very enjoyable with lots of local knowledge
Cornelius was amazing!! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great time, and he was a wonderful guide.
Our tour guide Nyx, was knowledgeable about the history of York and how it pertained to witches. There was a nice mix of humor and information. The walking pace was good, with rest stops to take in the scenery and important landmarks.
I'd definitely recommend this tour for anyone that wants a nice tour of York, Shambles, Guy Fawkes' birthplace, and views of York Minster, with a witchy take.
The magnificent Merlo was entertaining. He had a lot of fun facts about witches and York history. It was nice to get to know the city a little better.
It's a lot of fun and you find out interesting facts relating to York's history, how and why women were accused of being witches and even where the pointy hats stem from. It makes you look at things in the streets you would have otherwise missed... Such as Guy Fawkes birthplace!
Wonderful tour of York and the Shambles. Our tour guide, nutmeg, I believe 🤔, gave a fantastic tour, she was fun and very informative. Would definitely recommend..

It was lovely the only downside, was tbat it isn't a ghost tour. The tour guide was lovely and freandly.

It is only about an hour and a quarter long, but we did see all the sites of York in our guide was really good because the shambles was really busy so she held up her broomstick and shouted make way for the witch so that we could all get through. She was a brilliant guide.

Not great. Can't relate to to the narration. The guide spoke with a particular accent and the narrative seems to go from here and there. She tried to lighten things up but they are really not funny to me.

Tour with Oleander Sage was very disappointing despite the incredible atmosphere. She forgot her script more than once and needed to pause to refocus her thoughts on where she was in her performance, which caused the group to lose interest. Although it was only an hour, it was a sincere waste of our time and money.

Takes about 1 1/2hrs, covered lots of different sites in the city. Our guide was very witty and great local knowledge. Really enjoyed it.

A fantastic journey back in time looking for witches on a walk through a fantastic old city. Depending on when you go make sure you are dressed appropriately and have good shoes on. It can get a little busy in York but it won’t spoil your experience.

Not worth the £17. Really nice and well meaning guide but tour was not well done. Not much information presented and guide couldn’t remember a lot of the story details at stops. Would not recommend.
