Great full day tour visiting the incredible Ninh Binh region with our amazing tour guide Trang and bus driver Dung. The variety of the activities on the day was great, including a moderately strenuous hike to the top of the Lying Dragon Mountain, a bike ride on flat roads/paths in a nearby village area, visit to the ancient capital, and a beautiful wooden boat ride through multiple caves and picturesque scenery. Highly recommended tour!!

Interesting, fun, informative- a Hanoi must

This tour is a real must in Hanoi, at any stage of your visit. We had been in Hanoi for 4 days and thought we had seen a lot, but with the careful driver and Jenna our guide, we saw and learned so much more. We did the evening tour, which was good juggling through the busy traffic to the various destinations. We visited the old train bridge by the station, the B- 52 museum, an excellent visit to train street (even though we had already been), my highlight was the local restaurant for a drink near one of the city’s lakes, a real local vibe and Jenna explained various things in the vicinity. After driving through many areas you finish in a superb restaurant for dinner, such a cool decor and great Vietnamese food. Highly recommended

An Unexpected Pleasure

The best thing about this tour is the fact that it can be adjusted on the fly based on time, traffic and anything else that can and will crop up. Like our ship being delayed over an hour by immigrations. We already altered the tour by a bit before it even started because our time in port was not as long as first expected. Then this. Communication between us and Brian was above and beyond. He sent pictures of exactly where he would be waiting and we let him know once we were able to get off the ship. To be honest, when I booked this, I had no idea I had booked a PRIVATE, as in just the two of us, tour. We had a driver who knew his stuff and we got to see a lot of what we originally planned. Just experiencing life on the city streets was as good as the tour itself. He took us to a hole in the wall noodle house that I may have passed up, had I been alone. The lunch was fantastic. The atmosphere was as local as it gets. I think we were the only "tourists" there, LOL. As I was walking out, I saw the wall with the 4x Michelin Guide awards 2023 to 2026. WOW! I can't really say anything specific about what we saw because your tour might be different from ours. This I will say. I am grateful beyond words that Tran Haung Phuc (Brian) was our guide. I found out later that we had so much of an advantage over the organised bus tours, talking with some of our ship mates. You won't be disappointed. If you have the full 10 hours to do this tour, you'll be trying to find things to see, LOL. We had about 5 and made it work.

Our driver met us at the pier in Ha Long Bay. We drove two hours into Hanoi where our guide, Louis met us. We spent the full day exploring. Louis was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating We saw everything we wanted to plus some additional surprises. The day exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend to cruise travelers.
