Itinerary
Your tour begins with a morning or afternoon pickup from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel by air-conditioned bus, minibus, or luxury vehicle (depending on the tour option chosen). After about a 1.5-hour drive (depending on the traffic), arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you’ll enjoy up to two hours to explore the well-preserved Vietnam War site.
As you follow your guide through the tunnels, you’ll learn about the fascinating tunnel system and the daily life of the Viet Cong soldiers, and have the opportunity to squeeze and crawl through the narrow passageways, tunnels, and trap doors. You’ll see the kitchens, living quarters, and weapon rooms, and have the option to shoot an AK-47 (not included).
After some free time for photos and exploring independently, meet your guide and group back at the tour bus for the return journey to Ho Chi Minh City. The VIP non-touristy option also includes lunch.

Bac was very informative and helpful in the Cu Chi tunnels. He showed us how the trapped doors worked. Led us to different tunnels in the area.
We are so glad we did this tour! We learned so much and especially enjoyed meeting Linda and finding out so much history and interesting facts from her. Would definitely recommend 🌟
Had a great experience with this tour. We got what we were promised and what we paid for. It’s an inexpensive tour but we got the whole Cu Chi experience. You can be rest assured and book this tour.
Nick was a great host, and a generally friendly man. He told us interesting facts about not only the the Cu Chi tunnels and the Vietnam war (or American War, depending on how you were taught), but also about Vietnamese culture and life. He made the experience quite fun for my girlfriend and I.
Although a very minor nitpick if I had to- I felt he interacted more with the white tourists than the non whites (including Indian and Singaporean). This White preference showed up often in group interactions and soured the experience a bit. But otherwise, had a more than satisfactory Cu Chi experience.
Our tour was with VietNam Adventure Tours, it was very easy to book on Viator and their communication and planning was excellent and professional.
Our guide was Tuon, he is the best tour guide I have ever had. He was a veteran of the war and was very informative and always connected the information he provided to what it would have been like during the war. I learned a lot from him and have a lot of respect for him, he helped make this the most unforgettable adventure!
Excellent everything, and the guide was the best. They were punctual and the let us back at the hotel, the visit is a must in Vietnam and the guide made it very interesting
Had a great time at the Cu Chi Tunnels with Nhi (Nicole)! She was really friendly, funny and knew a lot about the history. She explained everything really well and made the tour fun and interesting. Definitely recommend her if you’re doing the Cu Chi Tunnels tour!

This is an inexpensive tour and we found that you get what you pay for. The tour guide was good and led a fine tour. The van was OK - the leg space was quite cramped but ok otherwise. The service staff were difficult to deal with. The tour clearly says that hotel pickup was offered for hotels in district 1. A few minutes after we booked, we got a message that pickup was only for group of 4 and we would need to take a taxi since we were a group of 3. None of this is mentioned on the website and the staff was borderline rude in their interactions. Would not recommend.

We would, however, like to clarify the pickup arrangement. For this particular tour, complimentary hotel pickup is only available for selected hotels in the center of District 1, as clearly stated on the Viator listing. Unfortunately, Hotel Nikko Saigon is outside our designated pickup zone for this tour.
As your group consisted of three guests, we therefore asked you to come to the designated meeting point rather than arranging a separate hotel pickup. We understand that this may have been inconvenient, but this arrangement was based on the pickup policy shown on the booking page and was not an additional requirement introduced after booking.
We’re sorry if our staff’s communication came across as unfriendly. That was certainly not our intention, and we will remind our team to communicate more clearly and courteously with guests. Warm regards!
Tom was an amazing and hilarious tour guide! Very knowledgeable and funny and gave us the best interactive experience. The organizing company is also very responsive and helpful. Pick up and drop offs are available at certain locations.
Excellent tour, really informative. Guide was excellent, told us lots of information about Vietnam and the war. Everything worked perfectly from pick up at our hotel to drop off. Communication was was clear.

Really insightful half day trip. Specifically, Bac was an incredible guide. He gave loads of useful information to put the whole tour into context historically and in the moment as you went around. Would really recommend this trip, especially if you can have Bac as your guide.

We absolutely loved our tour. Jack was friendly, insightful, and knowledgeable. The tunnels were incredibly interesting, and the restaurant they took us to at the end of the tour was delicious. Would 100% recommend!

Mr. Fa was knowledgeable and funny and I had a great time with him! Would 100% recommend this tour for people, whether you have an understanding of the Vietnam War history or not. It’s a unique and harrowing experience. Just make sure to eat before hand as it’s pretty physical!

i chose half day tour. Good to know about tunnel's history plus tunnel experience at the same time. Addional shooting range activity is a plus.
Although the tour guide was able to communicate in English, she was not customer friendly. Smiling face, curiosity to engage in human interaction with customers makes trip more enjoyable.

The site was great. Lots to investigate. Tunnels are a challenge due to heat, humidity, space and oxygen content.
Our guide was very poor, but others sounded better.. I wandered off to listen to others since ours said so little.

Great tour! Bao was our guide and he was super knowledgeable and funny. He took us to a really great restaurant and overall it was a great tour!
We did the Cu Chi Tumnels trip with Jay and I must say that it was one of the best experiences in Vietnam. Jay is probably the funniest tour guide I have ever come across in Vietnam and it was absolutely fantastic. He has a great knowledge about the history of Vietnam and how the Cu Chi tunnels were used. It was a great experience and I would like to have him as our tour guide. Also, crawling underneath the tunnels was challenging but fun.
Ben, our tour guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable, good fun and easy to get along with. The tour itself was interesting and the bus ride was comfortable.

Great tour and a reasonable cost to the Cu Chi tunnels with a lovely guide. Lots of interesting information provided on the way. We were provided with VIP transport including business class style recliners. Stopping for lunch on the way back was most welcome. Thoroughly recommend.
Very cool tour to the Ch Chi tunnels. Wish we had seen this before going to the war museum.
Tuen was a super knowledgeable guide who certainly puts his training in the Vietnamese army to good use 😂. He runs a tight ship that alternates between keeping us on track to real personal first hand accounts of what happened during the war and a mix of humour. He shocked us with his age lol, I be happy if Im going that well, although at times some of our group struggled to understand him. Tunnels are way tighter than you expect but definitely do able although perhaps dont wear your best or white clothes. Really worthwhile tour and a day well spent.
