Itinerary
Your small-group or privatetour to the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta begins with a handy hotel pickup from central Ho Chi Minh City. Admire the views as you’re driven into the countryside in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
While many day tours take you either to the Cu Chi Tunnels or the Mekong Delta, this visits both, which is ideal if you’re short on time. Learn more about Vietnamese resistance to US forces at the famous tunnels from your English-speaking guide. Admission is included here to save you any surprise costs.
Continue to the sprawling delta, where you’ll first board a motorboat, then jump into a smaller boat to paddle down narrow canals. Get a close-up look at rural life.
Refuel with a tasty local lunch—vegan options are available—before your return transfer to HCMC.

We had a brilliant time!
Our your guide Tommy was amazing and gave so much information! Funny, witty and all round nice guy.
The tour was excellent, seeing the tunnels and the Mekong delta. Only thing is the 2 hour bus journey down to the Mekong (pure ignorance from me not knowing the geography). Would 100% recommend this tour!

BoHan gave our group a very interesting and entertaining tourist experience, visiting the Cu Chi tunnels and learning so much about Vietnam during the war. She was so informative and friendly and treated us to a very special hands-on day out. The Mekong Delta cruise was great too, as was the coconut village tour where we got to see and purchase many of the handmade treats to take home. Finally, the river boat paddle ride completed our special day. A positive, enjoyable experience for everyone! Would recommend this tour to anyone. Thanks so much BoHan!!

Short time and hurry to see the tunnels. River trip not something interesting . Poor management. I expected more. Pushing to finish the program.

Tunnels were great. Good learning experience. The delta…just ok. Guide was great although a little tough to understand.

Lockie was five stars. Sings like an angel, great information, friendly and absolutely hilarious.
Thanks for a fabulous day. Would 10/10 recommend.

I was unfortunate enough to be on the edge of the backseat of a very full mini van. The noise of the aircon above me made it difficult to what sounded like an interesting account of the history of Vietnam at the beginning of the tour. The young German woman said that she had water dripping on her. Fortunately our guide Justin, managed after visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and lunch for her and her husband to transfer to another one of the companies vehicles.
The Cu Chi Tunnels were incredibly busy which meant after us having to wait for other groups to finish, our guide had to rush through a lot of it to keep to schedule, and we ended up skipping parts that other groups saw. The only advantage of being crowded was that you could listen into some of the guides from some of the other groups who seemed to be more knowledgeable.
After lunch which was plentiful and delicious we headed off on a two hour ride to our next destination. On arrival we were ferried across the river to see some of Mekong life.[Finally it was off to the row boat for a very short trip down the river before getting on a larger boat to be ferried back across the river. Following this was a two hour drive home.
Our guide, Justin was a very friendly and affable man who kept the tour to time under somewhat trying conditions. The long car trip from the tunnels could have been made a little interesting by telling us a little about some of the things we were passing, although given that the van was not fitted with a PA system, that may have been difficult.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Roger! Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry about the discomfort in the van and the crowded conditions at the Cu Chi Tunnels, which can sometimes affect the pace of the visit. We truly appreciate your kind words about Justin, he always does his best to take care of guests and manage the schedule under challenging circumstances. Your comments are very helpful, and we will share them with our team to keep improving the experience. We hope to have another chance to welcome you again in Vietnam! Warm regards!

This experience is a ‘must’! Although it was a long day, we saw and experienced so much, from exploring the tunnels and learning the history behind them, to sailing down the Mekong Delta after dinner!
Our guide, Dat, was just amazing and was very knowledgeable. He was happy and able to answer all our questions and throughout the whole day, was so helpful. We could not have asked for more!

It was a good experiane. Guide explained well and foods and refreshments met expectations.
Feed back: I was stunned when driver/guide refused to serve me water bottle on the ground that I have already taken water bottle. Tourist is entitle only for one bottle through out tour which really heart me.
Secondly please provide feedback to guide to explain little about some important and historical buildings/place while pasding through instead of talking with driver.

The tour to Cu chi tunnels and Mekong Delta was informative and enjoyable. Our tour guide dragon king (Mr. Long) was knowledgeable and told us many things about the Vietnam war and the Mekong Delta culture.
Rose_C, Apr 2026
It was a good tour although I felt the Cuchi tunnels were a bit rushed. Other guides were doing more stops. The rest of the trip was great.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Rose! Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour overall. We’re sorry if the visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels felt a bit rushed. As the tunnels can get quite busy with many groups visiting each day, guides sometimes adjust the pacing to keep the schedule running smoothly. We appreciate your comment and will share it with our team to keep improving the experience. Warm regards!

We had an amazing day with Lockie and our driver Hero. The pick up was on time, the trip very pleasant, there was a lot of history, jockeys and singing 😁 Highly recommend the trip to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time in Ho Chi Min and would want to see as much as possible.
Rebekah_M, Apr 2026
The day was excellent and Txanx (Tony) was an excellent tour guide. Very informative and a broad range of information. There are a couple of places where you need to tip, so have some smaller notes available. The day is long but plenty of opportunity to rest in between locations.
Weronika_G, Apr 2026
The whole excursion took around 11-12h. We rushed through the Chu Chi Tunnels part, skipped few stops on the tour, our guide was unable to answer questions (- for example how long it took to make one underground room). He either didn't know or couldn't understand, he kept repeating same things just to keep talking. I overheard other guides talking in a more interesting way, more knowledgeable, taking time at the each place. We could have done it but we were forced to be part of 50 minutes shopping "experience" with presentation of bamboo towels and underwear, walk through the whole shop without buying anything and waiting for the part to be over. Wherever we were taken it was to show us how they live or work, but really it was just another chance of selling something and give tips. If we skipped at least one of those we could have better experience at the historic part of the tour. I really wanted to like it, we had good small and friendly group of travellers, well working bus, lunch was tasty.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear valued guest! Thank you for your feedback, and we’re very sorry to hear that parts of the tour did not meet your expectations. Our Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta tour is designed as a full-day experience with several cultural stops to showcase local life and traditional crafts, which can sometimes feel commercialized as many families rely on tourism to support their livelihood.
We appreciate your comments about the guide and pacing of the visit, and we will share this with our team to improve the experience. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the group atmosphere, the comfortable bus, and the lunch, and we truly hope to welcome you again for a better experience in the future! Warm regards!

Booking was easy & the tour guide Jack was excellent. We enjoyed the day although the cu chi tunnels were very busy & a bit rushed. The drive to the Mekong Delta was well worth it, we throughly enjoyed the boat ride & coconut village. The bus picked us up from our hotel & dropped us back at the markets. It was much cheaper than the Trip A Deal optional tour.

Our guide Stephan has made our journey very informative and enjoyable. He kept motivating and making us comfortable all the time.
I would recommend. Thank you Stephan for such a great day.

Great experience, Lockie was an excellent guide who has the voice of an angel. Wonderful day with good bunch of people.
Packed day with lots of moving around and activities. Recommend for a one day do it all.
Andreas_M, Apr 2026
Great day! Saw so much history and amazing scenery! Dragon King was amazing! Great guide with much knowledge
Sunny_I, Apr 2026
Tom was a great tour guides, really informative and funny. Both parts of the day were great but if you have the time I'd recommend doing the trips separately, in particular the Mekong delta, it's probably worth doing an overnight trip so that you can see the market and get a better feel for their lifestyle.
Megan_H, Apr 2026
Very informative day and Dragon King our guide was lovely. Mekong Delta was a unique experience but it does make it an extra long day. Overall well worth experience and day.
Martha_A, Apr 2026
We had a lovely day with our tour guide Jack. He gave us some historical information, took us to the tunnels, we got to do some shooting and ended the day with some relaxing boat rides.
Sandra_D, Apr 2026
That was a good day out. Our guide Nelson was lovely, fun and knowledgeable. We loved the Cu Chi area and the tunnels. Lots of history and fun. Mekong River ride is rather short and touristy but very pleasant.
Russell_D, Apr 2026
We ended our visit to Vietnam with one last tour to Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong river. We learned so much from our amazing tour guide Harry! The cultural and historical knowledge he presented to us was absolutely second to none.
Harry was so caring and understanding of our every needs. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!!
jessica_m, Apr 2026
It was a very knowledgeable experience and we were able to learn a lot about the history of the Vietnamese war. One thing I would say is I felt the CuChi tunnels was a little bit rushed because we had to get the the river.
Saying this so much is included with a lovely local lunch, lots of locals things to try throughout the day, and hosted by very knowledgeable guides.
Our guide Lockie was great. He was very informative but had a great sense of humour at the same time.
Erin_M, Apr 2026
Some of the war stuff is kinda dark (appropriately) but good to spend a day outside Saigon to see Mekong delta and get authentic view of how non-urban Vietnam folks live: bustling and entrepreneurial but still much poverty and shocking amounts of litter everywhere

Wing was our tour guide to the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. We’ve been on many such tours across the world, and I can say unequivocally that Wing is the best by a long margin ! He’s passionate, friendly and brings the right level of excitement and enthusiasm that we didn’t feel like he was a guide but was more one of us. He’s got a special way to keep the group together and moving and took extra care to ensure we had the right diet for those who needed it for our lunch, gave us great recommendations for local food and shopping in Ho Chi Minh City and continued to be in touch and help us even the day after the tour.
The most passionate and inspiring tour guide we’ve ever met. Best of luck Wing and wish you a great success ahead in life !

Tom was a great tour director. This tour should not be missed, although tunnels are busy. Mekong cruise was good.
James_E, Mar 2026
Very educational as well as enlightening tour. Lunch was delicious and the coconut village was a plus and interesting to see the different products being made from coconuts. And of course a good tour should have a good guide. Cuong (Alex) was more than good, he made the whole tour exciting and fun 1000/10.
Tawny_T, Mar 2026
The Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Signature Tour was a decent experience, but overall it felt quite rushed. A significant portion of the day was spent in the van traveling between locations, which took away from the time we actually had to explore and enjoy each stop.
At both the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta, we were moved along pretty quickly, with limited time to fully take in the surroundings or immerse ourselves in the experience. It felt more like checking off stops than truly engaging with them.
While the sites themselves are interesting and worth seeing, the pacing of the tour made it hard to fully appreciate them. I’d recommend this tour for those short on time, but if you’re looking for a more relaxed and in-depth experience, it may be worth exploring alternative options.
Wing_C, Mar 2026
It was a solid day of activities, learning, and entertainment. I can't believe we did so much in one day. Our tour guide, Steven, took the time to explain the history, local culture, and traditions of the different things we saw throughout the day. The lunch was amazing. The whole tour was definitely a highlight of our trip.
Sunil_B, Mar 2026
Had an amazing day exploring the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta! Nelson, our guide, was fantastic—friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and with a great sense of humor that kept everyone engaged throughout. It was a long day, but traveling in a small, friendly group made it really enjoyable, especially in such a comfortable limousine minibus. Everything was well organized, and the whole experience felt relaxed and memorable. Highly recommend!
