What are people saying about St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco)

Awe struck.
Literally the most beautiful place I have ever laid my eyes on. Didn’t even take pictures because pictures wouldn’t do any of this justice. Come see it in person and make sure you get a tour guide without one you’ll just be looking at pictures without knowing the story behind them.

Great If You Want to See Art
The tour was thorough and gave a great overview of the art and other items you could find in the Doge's Palace and Basilica. It would have been better to be in a smaller group because at times we could not see or hear what was being displayed. I also wanted more of a historical overview of Venice rather than just learning about the art. The gondola did not go under the Bridge of Sighs which was a disappointment.

Good quick Venice highlights
We went on the 9 AM tour, which was good because it was less crowded. The tour was very complete, but also moved along at a good pace learned lots of information would highly recommend.

Amazing Tour!!!!
My wife and I took our first visit to Italy and booked this tour to avoid the lines of Easter weekend. It worked! Our guide “Alexa” was phenomenal. It was like having a history professor explain the origins of the Doge and the details of the paintings. Her knowledge of the St Mark’s Basilica dove into the details of each mosaic. Whether you are Catholic or Protestant, you will appreciate Alexa’s knowledge of the Christian faith and her passion for explaining the why behind each tile mosaic.
