What are people saying about Valencia

Highlight of our trip
WOW WOW WOW! Highlight of our trip for sure. Rafa and his team made this cooking class so much fun and informative. We had SUCH a good time learning to make Paella, Sangria, and enjoyed some snacks/apps as well. They are. Generous with their time and Rafa is an amazing teacher. My rather and I agreed that this was easily the best part of our trip to Spain. We now plan to always incorporate some type of cooking class in our trips in the future. Lastly, Rafa’s home is amazing - it’s’ a beautiful backdrop and numerous people from the group who did city cooking classes recommended this one over all of the others. Glad I chose right! Would recommend without question! Gracias Rafa y amigos!

Fun ride with Luke🚲
Meeting Luke is worth this booking alone! He is one in a million! Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, personable; definitely a people person. He knew everyone’s names and called us by them frequently throughout the tour! This tour covers A LOT of ground. The ride out is a bit like any boardwalk stateside on the 4th of July, adding cars, signals, etc. but Luke navigates it well, stopping at key points of interest along the way. The ride home is easy, a bike path the whole way. Luke also provides water and a drink & snack at the beach. I highly recommend this just for the pleasure of meeting Luke. The city and its stops are an added bonus😉

Wonderful time in Valencia.
We had a wonderful four hours with Luciana. She really was very insightful of the highlights of Valencia for us as first time visitors. She took the time to get the know us and what we liked. She was extremely professional and gave us a wonderful experience.

Quick overview!
It was a great overview of the city for someone on a crunched time schedule. We saw a lot of the highlights of the city and Carlos was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. It was evident that he loved Barcelona throughout the tour. We were only in town for a weekend and this was a great way to see highlights.

Go, even if there is no lightshow
Saint Nicholas is a beautiful church with outstanding ceiling fresco painting. However, since it is a little smaller, it does not automatically make it to the top 5 list for Valencia.
The light show has made it a more famous destination. The light show partly highlights the ceiling paintings that you would not normally have been staring at for a long time. Glad we added this church.

Fantastic walking tour in Valencia with Joaquín
We had a great walking tour in Valencia with Joaquín. He was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the city. His explanations were clear and full of interesting details that made the history come alive. The tour was well paced and covered many important sights as well as charming areas of the city. Joaquín was happy to answer questions and made the experience feel very personal. The overall experience was informative, enjoyable, and well organized.

Fantastic tour! Worth every penny
Bogie gave us a leisurely taste of old Valencia (just six of us). Beautiful weather in December. Bogie was very knowledgable on the history of Valencia and very patient with all our questions. A sophisticated presentation of tapas and five Valencia wines was delightful. We felt very pampered. Bogie then took just two of us to the incredible City of Arts and Science area, before putting us in a cab to take us back to our ship. We look forward to future tours with Seagram, through Viator.

Comprehensive Informative tour
Learned many interesting facts about the Nord train station- and then began our walk toward the Catbedral stopping and learning many interesting facts. Because is was a Thursday our guide made sure we arrived just before noon at the Cathedral in order to experience the an event that has been for the past hundreds of years every Thursday at 12 in the back of the church. The 9 districts meet outside to discuss any water issues between the communities. It was the first time a woman took part. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the several sites. Her friendly manner with her sense of humor made it a fun, informative tour. A unique site was looking at below ground Roman bath ruins that were covered with a glass cover and then water on top so that it was possible to see them. When we ended at the market she stayed and answered everyone’s where to go next questions and even emailed us restaurant suggestions. I highly recommend this comprehensive informative tour.

It’s all about the tapas.
Tapas are one of the top reasons to visit Spain. Maria took us on a tour of the old city and gave us a great perspective of the old and new. But this tour is about tapas and local favorite places to enjoy them. Sant Jaume was my favorite and worth a return visit. Best of all, Maria was great company and my wife and I enjoyed spending a memorable afternoon with her.

Unforgettable Tour to the Springs and Waterfall
Our visit to the thermal springs and waterfall was absolutely unforgettable. The scenery was stunning, the springs soothing, and the waterfall breathtaking. But what truly made the day special was Mike—our amazing guide, whose passion, knowledge, and kindness turned the trip into a memory we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommended!

My best paella with My First Paella!
València is world-famous for its paella, so we knew we needed to devote some time to learning about and eating it on our visit! This cooking class through “My First Paella” was the perfect way to do both. A tour, a cooking class, and a social activity all in one, you won’t regret this experience!
My partner and I were thrilled to spend some time in the wonderful “Mercat de Russafa,” filled with friendly vendors and delicious, local food, as our guide and chef extraordinaire for the day, Ana, showed us the ingredients we would be using for our dish!
Chef Ana was extremely kind and very funny as she shared her knowledge of cooking paella, both the technical elements and the power of paella to bring people and families together. Chef Jose was humorous and warm, and kept us laughing and drinking while taking care of everyone.
There were many parts of this experience that stood out to me. One was Chef Ana’s explanation of how everyone involved with My First Paella wants to include visitors to Valencia (like myself and most of my group today) in the local culture and community in a real and genuine way, while also respecting and coexisting with the people who live in this beautiful city and are trying to go about their daily lives. So, for example, showing us visitors what it is like to shop in the local Mercat and where our ingredients are coming from, but being very careful to split big groups up and guide us carefully so we don’t block walkways or interfere with the stalls or the customers!! I absolutely loved how intentional they were about this, and it reflects my own beliefs about travel and tourism.
The other big thing that stood out to me was how darn good the food was! It’s hard enough to make good paella yourself, I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to teach eight people at two different paella stations how to make two different types of paella at once - but Chef Ana did it and our paella was DELICIOUS!! It was so interesting to learn more about the importance of paella in Spanish (and especially, Valencian) culture, and it was so much fun to cook paella ourselves. My partner and I had some tasty seafood paella the night before our class from a really great local restaurant, but the paella we cooked together in class tasted even better.
I could go on and on about this experience - delicious sangria, the opportunity to meet other travelers, feeling like part of the local community - but really, you should go experience it yourself! If you’re coming to Valencia, put “My First Paella” on your calendar.
