Valentin was a great guide. He told us so much about the city’s history and also about its food culture. We had a wonderful time with great food. You can see he does it with passion. Would love to do it again!

Unfortunately, the tour with Luciana was not very satisfying. We were rushed through the market and didn't get to try anything there. Afterwards, we went to the nearest tapas bar and when we wanted to order something extra, we were refused. The tour ended 15 minutes early because she was already close to her apartment. We were two groups, and the other group had a great guide (Valentin) and was able to try much more. So, unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us. And she wasn't very friendly either.

Compared to other food tours I’ve done I was expecting to learn a lot more about the history and culture of Valencia. It didn’t feel as organized or as professional as my other experiences.

Private Tastings Tour of València

Our private 3 hour food tour with our local guide, Valentín, was excellent. Valentín was passionate about the food in Valencia. We took in the Central Market with some tastings, followed by lunch at a lovely small restaurant and finished with Agua de València at a fun outdoor bar. Valentín also gave us recommendations for local bars and restaurants, at one of which we enjoyed delicious paella. A tour definitely worth doing!

Our guide, Valentin was great! He took us to his favorite places and got to sample lots of different foods. In total 4 stops, but got to spend a good amount of time in the market trying lots of great stuff!! We also stopped at a famous Horchata place, another market for tapas, and finished it off with a cocktail.

This was a great tour to experience the local cuisine. Valintine was a knowledgeable guide and took us to places that were mostly visited by locals. We especially enjoyed the tour through the food market, which was amazing to see. We sampled a number of different foods there

Mimoza was fantastic and provided us with a wonderful tailored experience! We even had to do this a little earlier than normal Spain dinner time (due to an early flight the next day), so she had to really flex the schedule to make it work. She was the best!

Failed tour

The tour guide never showed. We waited for over an hour. I am very disappointed and expect a full refund. Cesar did call later in the evening and said he had a family emergency. I wanted to get some places to eat as we are here for the week. We have multiple events and do not have time to reschedule the food tour.

Our guide Valentin did a really nice job of picking foods to eat and sights to see and explaining a little culture and history. The food choices were great and he accommodated my shellfish allergy. My favorite dish was the Tomato salad with cured tuna and capers. delicious!

We were accompanied on our private tour by our guide for the evening, Valentin. He was a great guide, with an excellent command of the English language, who gave us a local's view of the city, its history, its buildings and off course, its food and drink. The time passed so quickly and it felt like we had spent an evening with an old friend. I would recommend this trip unreservedly to anyone visiting Valencia for the first time or even those who have been before, as the insights into the history of the city are so interesting.

Maria was an excellent guide on our walking tour. We had already done a history tour the night before so a lot of the information was a repeat of what we had learned the night before. Not her fault we booked two similar tours. She did lead us to some excellent dining spots we never would have found on our own. I suggest you come hungry to the tour as she is going to fill you up.

Maria was fantastic. She took us all over the old town and explained a lot of the history of Valencia while we walked. The food was superb and the drinks at each stop were also great compliments to each of the tapas we tried. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone.

We were taken on our tour by Maria who was so lovely and personable and my partner and I found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. As it was our first trip to Valencia we found it refreshing to learn so much history and information about the area all whilst walking through the streets between stops, tasting some delicious local delicacies at each cafe/restaurant we visited. This tasting tour really is the best way to explore Valencia, it’s traditions, history and the extraordinary food it has to offer. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone new to Valencia and want to give a special thanks to Maria for being such a good host!

The day of our tour it was actually stormy weather that morning so it was questionable whether the tour would happen. I contacted tour operator (Danny) and he reached out directly and we took a chance at meeting at the designated spot with no problem, just a little bit of rain fizzling out prior to the start. Danny was great. Since I brought my fiance, her mom and another relative who all spoke spanish (2 spoke almost no english at all), I requested the tour in Spanish and luckily he spoke both fluently and was able to give them the full Spanish version and then gave me the cliff notes version in english ;) We walked thru old town Valencia while he gave us some history, took us to several local spots, including the local market, and we sampled delicious foods and drinks. VERY pleased with Danny and this tour, and highly recommend it!!! :)

Danny was an excellent host for our food tour of Valencia, not only did he satisfy out taste buds, but he also fed our minds. Having been in Valencia for the last 8 years, Danny's knowledge of what is good and what is even better is second to none. Both myself and my wife had to agree with him, that the Patatas Bravas were indeed the best we have ever tasted, the Agua De Valencia amazing, and of course the Horchata the sweetest. His advice on where to go and what to eat has been invaluable for the rest of our stay too. We would highly recommend this tour, and would also highly recommend Danny as a charming and affable host.

The tour guide was informative and enjoyed talking about Valencia. She shower is the old town and the beautiful churches. The food and wine was amazing. We learned a lot about the wines of Valencia. It was very enjoyable. The venue was quaint and historic.

Valentín in Valencia was Wonderful

The best time we could accommodate was during the later part of siesta so a number of the usual stops were not available. Valentín was still able to identify a few unique spots in Valencia and local spots that were interesting and tasty. He introduced us to Agua de Valencia and we haven’t had any as good anywhere else we tried. He knew the best spots and was very kind and patient with us. Highly recommend if you are interested in some local gems and good info about the city.
