A very interesting tour of Valencia's old town coupled with bars and tapas that were well known to Alex, our guide, but which we would not have found on our own. They were all excellent and thank you Alex for passing on your knowledge and enthusiasm.

It is critical to let Patricipants know exactly how to find the meeting point. For us on a cruise ship, it took far too long to get off and then they just shuttle us and told us they were dumping us in Center city. I tried to call you and we had a bad connection and you kept telling me to go to places and I had nowhere or way to find. had nowhere to know Where I was or how to get those places. I tried multiple times to get a cab and I could not and right about then someone that was doing a tour had two extra spots so we just went with them. We were disappointed to say the least. So not your fault except. I think you would be able to figure a better way!!! Sorry we missed you!!!

We are very sorry that you missed this tour. We waited for 15 minutes for you at the meeting point but since there were more people in this tour, after these 15 minutes, we had to start the tour anyway. We then sent you messages during the start of the tour, to give you our exact location so that you could still participate in this tour.
However, 15 minutes after we started the tour, you told us that you walked into another guided tour and that it was easier for you to go with them. We respect that of course as it is your own choice, we however do not understand the bad review now, as we could not do anything about this. We first waited for you and then still tried to meet up with you during the start of the tour… We even tried to find you, but you told us yourself it was not necessary anymore.
We work very hard every day to make sure that everyone enjoys Valencia to the fullest and that they leave us with a big smile. We normally never have problems with people who cannot find the meeting point, especially since we also send you the exact location(which is quite central and easy to find) the day before and we put you in direct contact with your guide in case you cannot find the meeting point or you need any other kind of help.
Unfortunately, in your case we could not show you Valencia but we hope you enjoyed your trip anyhow.

Tapas are one of the top reasons to visit Spain. Maria took us on a tour of the old city and gave us a great perspective of the old and new. But this tour is about tapas and local favorite places to enjoy them. Sant Jaume was my favorite and worth a return visit. Best of all, Maria was great company and my wife and I enjoyed spending a memorable afternoon with her.

Very interesting tour with Alex who was knowledgeable about Valencia and all its culinary specialties. Highly recommended tour if you want to get an introduction to the local gastronomy and avoid tourist traps during your stay. The food and drinks during the tour were delicious and the experience really enjoyable.

Excellent glimpse into Valencian history, culture, good and drink. If you can time your visit to coincide with the annual Fallas festival - we had a very fun time, surrounded by much music and dancing.
Alex was fantastic - you should ask for him as well!

Great Tapas tour around Valencia. Stand out was the Tasca Angel. Amazing simple food. Shame it closed early otherwise would have gone again later in the day. Our guide was humorous and kept us interested without being over bearing and introduced us to the Traditional Tapas rather than the commercial types we are used to . Would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour with Alex. An excellent blend of history and food and drinks. We really enjoyed learning about the València cathedral and Alex kindly answered our questions about tourism in Spain too. We ate some of the most amazing local food and have already been back to at least two of the places we visited as we enjoyed the tour so much.

Our tour guide Rafa was wonderful! He was super knowledgeable about the city. He showed us the main highlights of the Old City and also some fun off the beaten path spots along the way. The food was excellent, the restaurants/cafes were great, and the drink at the end was perfection. Hightly recommend!

Alex is a fantastic tour guide. He contacted us the day before and was exactly on time at the meeting point. His knowledge is fun and interesting. The tapas was excellent, so much so we revisited one of the restaurants twice more during our visit. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough, excellent value for money.

Maria was excellent. Our group was only 4 of us and it went very well. She took us to places we wouldn’t have tried and the tapas were wonderful. I would recommend Maria and the history food tour.

Best part of the tour was the Market...but we didnt spend much time there,,, one vendor we sampled some meat/cheese and a drink. The other venues were nothing special so far as the food was concerned. Our guide didn't have a lot of personality, so it was not as much fun as some food tours I have been on. I felt it wasn't worth the price of the tour!

Hi Cathy, it is very unfortunate to hear you did not enjoy this tour with us to the fullest. For us, the most important thing is that you really enjoy our tours and that we leave you with a smile. The food market indeed is a very interesting part of the tour, and that is why we always try to do some tastings inside this market as well(next to the other tastings in different places, outside of the market). The meat and cheese that you had here are Jamon iberico de bellota(or also well known as ‘Pata negra’ ham) and manchego cheese. This is very typical from Spain, known to be the best ham in the world and we tasted it with you in one of the best ham stalls of this market. Next to that, we tasted some very local delicacies in this market, such as the ‘Pastel de boniato’, a mix of flavours that now exist due to the mix of cultures in the past 1500 years, with the influence of the Moors, as your guide probably also explained..
For the other venues outside the market, we always pick very authentic places where we locals also go to if we are in for a treat.. Places that have existed for more than 80 years now, who work with a great quality product and prepare these in a really good way. Like this we can really give you a good reflection of the local food and gastronomy, and this is what a good food tour is about in our opinion. We feel sad that you did not fully enjoy them, but are of course very open to feedback and are always interested in improving our tours with good feedback from our guests.
