What are people saying about San Sebastian

Fantastic- better than expected
I would highly recommend this tour. We went with our two children 21 and 23. It was a great quick little history of San sebastian with stops at some amazing restaurants (we probably would have passed by) to get a quick taste of San Sebastián and the history behind what was chosen. I’m sure our tour was even more special because of our tour guide Carlos. He truly was phenomenal and his knowledge of San Sebastián as well as food was just top notch.

Explore pintxos with Jon and eat like a local
This tour is for anyone who wants to learn about Basque food culture, while eating pintxos like a local would. I enjoyed hearing about the origins of pintxos and tasting many traditional, as well as unique types. Of pintxos. I appreciated the variety of the establishments we dined in, while Jon, our host, educated and entertained us while taking care of every detail. Jon is passionate about Basque region, food, and community. He has a big heart and warm and friendly disposition, all which is graciously shared with his community and anyone lucky enough to book a food tour with him. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💗

Wonderful not to miss tour and ride!☺️
I highly recommend this bike tour around the perimeter of San Sebastián. Colton was our very knowledgeable guide with Basque heritage. We stopped to public art, architecture, and he gave historical context and information about this gorgeous town. We were in the pouring rain and it was pretty chilly and yet, I would absolutely do this again in the same circumstances. Thank you for the memorable tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bucket list
Paul, our tour guide and driver, provided exceptional service. He catered to our needs, ensuring our comfort throughout the journey. When my wife forgot her phone at the hotel, Paul kindly took us back to retrieve it. His extensive knowledge made the trip truly enjoyable. The breathtaking view from San Juan de Gaztelugatxe was well worth the hike. We also savored the delicious food in La Palma, Bilbao. The Guggenheim Museum is a must-visit attraction. Overall, we highly recommend this tour. Cheers to Paul! 🥂

Interesting Tour of three Towns
A wonderful way to see and learn about the rich history of these three towns near the French border. Gilles provides a substantial amount of history and present day insight into everything we saw during this excellent tour. We are very glad to have had the experience. Even the short boat ride across the river was memorable. It was also good that we had a bit of time to ourselves as well where we could enjoy a little something at a local bar. Gilles was also very good about a smooth drive up and down the mountain switchbacks. It was an enjoyable morning.

Great experience and lots of fun
Our tour guide Gonzo was excellent and took us to pintxo bars that weren’t on
other lists or recommendations in guidebooks. We tasted foods and different drinks we would never have known to try and learnt about basque culture and cuisine. It’s worth doing the tour early on in your trip as it helps make the most of your culinary experience and Gonzo left us with a long list of recommendations.

Josu made our day
Josu was our guide and he had so much knowledge. He took us through several seaside towns and told us lots of stories and history. We went to a beautiful Txakoli vineyard. Mónica showed us how it was made, bottled, and stored. We had tastings in 2 locations on the vineyard and both had breathtaking views! On the way back we connected with Josu on music and had a fun time listening to each others favorite songs. I would definitely do this tour again and if you get Josu you are in for a great time!

Worth it!
Know that it takes about 2 hours each way San Sebastian - La Rioja.
Wine portions at the wineries were more than I've ever had on any wine tour elsewhere in the world! Snacks were substantial portions of local foods. Lunch in La Guardia was regional food at a small restaurant on their terrace. All the food and wine was great.
Our driver, Diego, was a nice local guy who readily answered all questions about Spain, Basque culture, and the area. We toured in October so it was great to see the harvest process.

Daniel gave us the most...
Daniel gave us the most wonderful introduction to San Sebastián. He was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the history but also the culture of this magical town. The pintxo restaurant operates unlike any other dining establishment, and it was valuable to learn how to operate as a customer. Would spend another afternoon roaming the streets and soaking up San Sebastián with Daniel in a heartbeat. Topa!

Fran is very passionate...
Fran is very passionate about telling the history of San Sebastian, its culture, its passion for food, and the Basque culture and area. He also walked the group by some very good Pintxo bars that he recommended that we could check out later after the tour.

Don't pinch the euros and book with Esky
We had one night in San Sebastian so we could not afford to search and wander for the right pintxos. So we booked with Esky. Esky was a fantastic tour guide tailoring our pintxos stops based on our food preferences. We has a great time with the other couple who participated on the tour with us. My teenage son got to experience new foods and learned how to pour a sidra inro a glass. Esky encouraged sharing and tasting while making sure the kitchen delivered the best pintxos. Nothing was served pre- made. It was either hot and fresh or it was not accepted by Esky. Sure you can good with a cheaper tour and go to all the tourist favorites but I feel booking with a local who will provide a more personal experience is worth the price

Wow, 10/10!! Must do if visiting!
Our tour guide was exceptional (I think his name was Noni). He was incredibly knowledgeable and drove us to spots we wouldn’t have seen without his help. He gave us a great his other lesson and showed us local food spots as well. I will recommend this tour to anyone that comes!!
