Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried under meters of ash and pumice from the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year. A wonderful family tour with an amazing guide - Enrico. We had a wonderful family experience on this tour. Our guide, Enrico, was excellent. He brought us to great restaurants, many of them family-owned, arranged private boat tours, and took us to beautiful family-friendly locations for photos. Enrico was very thoughtful, knowledgeable, and PASSIONATE about Italy. He was also a great historian and made the experience feel meaningful, not just like a regular tour. All of the tour drivers were also excellent, professional, and kind. We never felt pressured or rushed, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. This was a truly memorable family experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Italy.

Wonderful once in a lifetime experience!

Vincenzo was very professional and made our trip even more than we had expected. He went out of his way to accommodate to all our of needs and made our time at the Amalfi coast beyond memorable. Excellent captain and smooth sailing. Showed us all the towns via the coast. Dropped us off for an amazing lunch at a private island restaurant only to arrive by boat. Took us swimming to wonderful spots and had amazing music playing. The boat was in excellent condition. He also had several drink options available. Would strongly recommend this especially with Captain Vincenzo. We can’t wait to go back. One of the highlights of our Summer European Vacation. A+++++

The trip was so well organised, meeting point at the port was easy to find, nice air conditioned bus and great tour guide. Very good excursion from Salerno, well worth the cost. Pompeii is about 30 minutes drive from Salerno, there were a huge number of people milling about on arrival but Daniella steered us through with ease. The tour really brought the trip to life. Highly recommend.

A great tour with our guide Andre. 6 1/2 hours of walking and information regarding Pompeii & Herculaneum. Andre gave ample water breaks and washroom breaks in the 27 degree heat. Wear good walking shoes on this tour, the cobble stones of Pompeii and Herculaneum are unforgiving with approximately 15,000 footsteps according to an Apple Watch.

But as we were unable to rebook due to other travel commitments, the tour operator allowed tour to proceed. We had a great experience on this tour! Paolo was fantastic! He was friendly and provided good information along the way. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day so we didn't have a good sunset.
