Silvia was a great host her food was incredible. She and her family were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Everything she prepared was local and fresh including the wine and cheese . She shared local food history and even sent us recipes. If you are in Salerno do not miss this experience you will truly have an Italian memory to cherish

Our hostess, Carmen and her mother were very sweet and gracious. Her home was lovely. She made some dishes that were uniquely Italian that we had never had the opportunity to try. She did most of the cooking but we were involved making a gnocchi type dish. We found out that Salerno is NOT a big tourist town and unlike other cooking excursions we have done, we were surprised that we were the only two doing this excursion. Although advertised that it was in Salerno, it was actually about a 20 minute drive out of the city to get there. She offered to pick us up and drive us back for 40 euro, because taxis don’t drive out that far, so we accepted. That was fine for us, but for someone who does not have an extra $50 just for transportation this would be an unexpected expense and you might need to rethink your selection. Carmen did not speak English but used a translator app to talk with us. She was a very sweet woman and we appreciated her effort to give us a most pleasurable experience.

Sylvia was both a wonderful cook and host. If you want an authentic Italian meal where you are welcomed as family into her home, this is the experience for you! Anna nicely provided translation to English. She and Sylvia were absolutely delightful.

Our Cesarine, Ludovica, was the perfect teacher for our family. From first contact she was so caring and helpful. Her and her family are warm and welcoming. Ludovica taught us to make gnocchi and we had delicious appetizers, wine, and dessert.
The view from her home is amazing. Such a wonderful experience and I will definitely make gnocchi at home

Carmen was delightful. She has a beautiful home and we felt welcomed immediately. The food was excellent and she provided explanations of its origins. Later on we met her husband who was very charming. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

We had a great time meeting this Italian family in their home, cooking, learning about their family life, their cooking and food, and having some really good food and wine and dining with them. They made it easy to get to their beautiful home, and we had a wonderful and pleasant evening with them. We would recommend it to anyone that wants to spend a pleasant evening with an Italian family off the beaten path, and experience some good company and food.

My wife and I have been talking about doing some sort of local dining experience or cooking class for a while, but this was the first time following through and WOW! Emilia and Gianluca showed us the best of times with great conversation and an amazing meal in their beautiful home. They were very personable, spoke great English, and obviously put in a lot of effort to be great hosts for us.
After our first casual appetizers and wine on their beautiful outdoor patio table, they gave us a tour of their property and gardens. They had an extensive assortment of fruits and vegetables and an obvious passion and skill for gardening. They allowed us to pick and snack on various items throughout - Tasty!
Emilia had prepared a full assortment of fresh food directly from her garden (or cheeses from a local dairy farm right down the road) and together with my wife prepared a DELICIOUS meal that was very filling and satisfying. Throughout the meal preparation and dining experience, they shared family cooking traditions and lots of information about the local and greater Italian areas.
Dessert, coffee, and limoncello were the final cherry on top of the amazing dining experience.
Overall, this was an experience that we will never forget. And one that we certainly do not regret - worth every penny! We couldn't of asked for a better evening with better company! Thank you Emilia and Gianluca for putting in the effort to show us a great time!

This experience was so wonderful. Antonia made us feel incredibly welcome in her home. We attended for my boyfriend’s birthday and Antonia made it extra special for him. We loved chatting, preparing food, and of course eating. The food was delicious; the best we’ve had in Italy so far! I recommend this experience! We look forward to coming back. I cannot explain how lovely this entire evening was. Thank you!!

Silvia and Angela were amazing hosts. They were very friendly and accomodating. The food was amazing and we loved all the fresh produce. You could tell how passionate Silvia is about food and cooking. They are fantastic hosts with great personalities- they made the afternoon very enjoyable.

Food was great so was watching Antonia cook healthy food choices. Both Antonia & husband were welcoming & experience was like eating at a family's home ( great house too) with excellent company, great conversations & great drinks.

Spending the afternoon with Antonia in her home was such a gift! Her home and personality are so warm and inviting, and the food! Omg the food! I watched as she finished making the cavatelli in front of me, sharing family stories. All of the vegetables came from her garden “they were in the ground this morning.” I was a solo traveler attending this activity and it was amazing. Good for both groups and individuals. Such a lovely experience, highly recommend.
