A Mind-Altering Experience in Bucharest!
Bucharest's food and drink were beyond expectations. And it was our guide, Bogdan, who brought it to life! First, he shared covrigi -a popular, affordable street food snack, then sat us down on the steps of Bucharest's National Theater and set the table with a wonderful history lesson. After which we proceeded to Taste Bucharest. And indeed, it was a Food Lover's Tour of Markets & Neighbourhoods as you can see from the pics. At 5 hours, this tour was a tremendous value - a delish and delightful foodie experience complemented by Bogdan's nuanced insights.

Lots to see
Really great way to fit in everything in one day. You have plenty of time walk through and see the palace/castle. The palace and castle took about an hour for me to walk through and then I had 30 ish minutes to explore the town. This trip takes you into the mountains, which is much colder than Bucharest. I went in the beginning of april, and although in Bucharest it was about a high of 12°C in the mountains it was -3°C and snowing.

Interesting place
Bulgaria is still developing their tourism, so it was a very interesting place to visit. Learning about its history was fascinating as it is very different from the rest of Europe. After touring Europe for so long and seeing all the historical the cities, they all can start kind of blending together. So visiting Bulgaria was a very nice change.

Long but enjoyable day.
Long but enjoyable day. Very punctual and efficient. Knowledgeable and friendly guide, Emanuel, and skilful driver, Florien. We were lucky, or unlucky, depending on your perspective, to do the trip on Easter Sunday - we didn't know when booking - advantages are, limited crowds, quieter roads, more time at destinations, disadvantages are lots of places closed, including Peles Castle. However, there's plenty still open and had an amazing day. Brought our own lunch because weren't sure about lunch stops or facilities. Stopped in Brasov for 2 hours, so plenty of time for lunch there.
Bran castle - lots of steps, not at all suitable for disabled travellers, paid 90 leu at castle as absolutely no queues. Can't get into the gardens without paying. 35 euro each if you pay on the bus (cash or card) but get fast track entry ( which we didn't need). Lots of artisan/souvenir stalls outside.
Brasov - beautiful city. Lots of choice for food and drink. Don't chance the cable car due to time limitation.
Peles Castle - closed for Easter Sunday, but can walk around front for photos and cafe/bar was open.
Don't like you eating on bus. No hard sell for castle tickets. Ongoing commentary from guide which made a long journey bearable. Comfortable coach - no toilet, but toilets at all 3 stops, friendly and accommodating guide. Read the reviews before you go, especially regarding queues, purchasing tickets, eating, travel time, punctuality and toilet facilities.

Bran Castle, Peles and Brasov day trip
Great tour. Paying the extra for a private vechile and guide was well worth it. Dragos our guide and driver was excellent, explained everything very well, knowledgeable on Romania and the areas and sites we visited. Peles palace was well worth it, go early to avoid the crowds! Big thanks to Dragos, top guide for our day trip

This was an amazing day...
This was an amazing day trip! We were met at the meeting point at the correct time and everything on the tour was precise. We didn’t waste any time waiting and the time we had for each stop was perfect. The guide was amazing! The driver was super friendly and we felt safe the whole day.

Fascinating day down a salt mine
It was an early start but I’m glad that we went on this day trip. It took about two hours to get to the mine on the mini bus. We stopped once at a convenience station on the way where you could go to the loo or get something to eat. The mine itself was fascinating. You are driven all the way down to it in a tunnel. No need for hard hats or gear etc. You are then pretty much delivered in the main tourist gallery of the mine which is huge. The ceiling is at least 50 metres high so not the claustrophobic experience you might imagine in a mine. The colours were amazing. You can do a lot of walking around and there is a cafe where some pizzas are available etc. The cafe was not extensive but perfectly fine. There is a good amount of time to walk about, eat and relax in the mine and then it was time to go back up to the surface, buy some souvenirs and salt and then go back on the bus (there was no stop on the way back). For me and my wife it was an interesting and novel day out as we had never been down a salt mine before. One of our group had already been down a salt mine and was slightly disappointed.

Peles, Bran and Brasov
Beautiful March day in Romania! My husband and I booked a private tour. Our guide, Radu, was great - knowledgeable about the area, history and interesting facts. He was very patient with me as I get car sick and the winding roads were a bit of a challenge for me! Peles castle was lovely with amazing architecture and the amazing backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains. We also toured the two abbeys down the mountain from it - super interesting! I purchased these tickets online. Bran Castle did not disappoint! We purchased tickets (we included the torture tour part but it’s optional) at the bottom of the hill before walking up to the castle. It has such history and - the stories! We had lunch and strolled around Brasov which has an Eastern European feel. So pretty! Go to the Black Church and ask about the statue of the boy! We had delicious gelato - Radu can show where is the best! It is definitely a full day as it is a good distance from Bucharest but totally worth it. Wear your walking shoes and take a water bottle! Thanks Radu for sharing your beautiful country with us - great day!

Must see day trip!
The trip was lovely. The family was excited to explore and we weren't disappointed. Surprisingly Bran Castle was nicer than expected, Peles Castle was unfortunately not open the day we went (check your days) but the exterior didn't disappoint. It was a lovely fairytale Castle set in beautiful scenery, & Brasnov was a large lovely square with plenty of restaurants. Our tour guide Gabriel was very knowledgeable & we feel he helped round out the experience with great details. There truly is something for everyone. I would love to return for hiking.

Perfect locals tour with all of the stops.
Really great tour. Our guide was fantastic and really had great knowledge of the area with a lot of little bits of trivia we would never have known. I felt like I left with a friend. I would 100% recommend taking this small tour over anything the cruise ships offer. They took great care to make sure we missed the other tourists and we were easily back in time. What's missing from the photo I posted?.... Tourists. Just wonderful.

Amazing experience
We did the tour on 6.10.2025 our tour guide was George he was very friendly knowledgeable and kept us entertained during the tour even though he was in a lot of pain with an injury. We visited Skara brae which has a cafe on site which would recommend staff friendly and the fresh sandwiches were delicious. We also went to Scapa flow and learnt about the Germans sinking a ship and the fleet had left was so informative. We also went to ring of Brodgar, Yesnaby cliffs unson chambered Cairn, standing stones of Steness. We were a bus of 7 strangers and we all had an amazing day. Would highly recommend George as tour guide.

The venue is pretty...
The venue is pretty awesome. The pools are great. It’s very clean. People are friendly. Just bring a pair of flip-flops or you will have to buy one. The shoes have to slide on and off and bring a towel or a robe or you will have rent one, outside of that great experience. Pick up was pretty timely and easy
