A Mind-Altering Experience in Bucharest!
Bucharest's food and drink were beyond expectations. And it was our guide, Bogdan, who brought it to life! First, he shared covrigi -a popular, affordable street food snack, then sat us down on the steps of Bucharest's National Theater and set the table with a wonderful history lesson. After which we proceeded to Taste Bucharest. And indeed, it was a Food Lover's Tour of Markets & Neighbourhoods as you can see from the pics. At 5 hours, this tour was a tremendous value - a delish and delightful foodie experience complemented by Bogdan's nuanced insights.

Lots to see
Really great way to fit in everything in one day. You have plenty of time walk through and see the palace/castle. The palace and castle took about an hour for me to walk through and then I had 30 ish minutes to explore the town. This trip takes you into the mountains, which is much colder than Bucharest. I went in the beginning of april, and although in Bucharest it was about a high of 12°C in the mountains it was -3°C and snowing.

Interesting place
Bulgaria is still developing their tourism, so it was a very interesting place to visit. Learning about its history was fascinating as it is very different from the rest of Europe. After touring Europe for so long and seeing all the historical the cities, they all can start kind of blending together. So visiting Bulgaria was a very nice change.

Long but enjoyable day.
Long but enjoyable day. Very punctual and efficient. Knowledgeable and friendly guide, Emanuel, and skilful driver, Florien. We were lucky, or unlucky, depending on your perspective, to do the trip on Easter Sunday - we didn't know when booking - advantages are, limited crowds, quieter roads, more time at destinations, disadvantages are lots of places closed, including Peles Castle. However, there's plenty still open and had an amazing day. Brought our own lunch because weren't sure about lunch stops or facilities. Stopped in Brasov for 2 hours, so plenty of time for lunch there. Bran castle - lots of steps, not at all suitable for disabled travellers, paid 90 leu at castle as absolutely no queues. Can't get into the gardens without paying. 35 euro each if you pay on the bus (cash or card) but get fast track entry ( which we didn't need). Lots of artisan/souvenir stalls outside. Brasov - beautiful city. Lots of choice for food and drink. Don't chance the cable car due to time limitation. Peles Castle - closed for Easter Sunday, but can walk around front for photos and cafe/bar was open. Don't like you eating on bus. No hard sell for castle tickets. Ongoing commentary from guide which made a long journey bearable. Comfortable coach - no toilet, but toilets at all 3 stops, friendly and accommodating guide. Read the reviews before you go, especially regarding queues, purchasing tickets, eating, travel time, punctuality and toilet facilities.
