Loved the private tour of...
Loved the private tour of Cotapaxi ! Our guide was great ! We stopped along the way for breakfast and on the way back for lunch. Both places were very good . Wear good walking shoes / hiking boots. The hike is pretty strenuous but well worth it for the spectacular views. We have an 8 year old son , 2 daughters in their early 20s and my husband and I are in our 50s. We were all able to do the hike , although it was tough at times with the high altitude .

Great day out!
Our guide Diana was so friendly, helpful and informative. The trip was worth it for the information alone. Great conversations. The Bizcochos was delicious and interesting to know the history/how they make it and similar with the Agave and at 0 0 0 my husband managed to balance an egg!! The waterfall is beautiful and watching the lady playing the instruments was very relaxing. And of course, the market was full of hoods to buy. We tried haggling (I usually hate it but they seem to love it!) and it really works - start at half the price and then work up to the middle difference. We got some bargains. For lunch Diana found a restaurant that served fish as I don’t eat meat. All in all a great day out.

Mindo Cloud Forest
We had a terrific day full of activity. We went to the Chocolate Factory in Mindo, the Mindo Cloud Forest and the humming bird sanctuary. Ivan let us stop for lunch at a fantastic place called Serenity for lunch. We preordered for faster service for the 10 of us. 6 adults and 4 kids. Eddie’s driving was outstanding all day! Thank you! Ivan’s English was outstanding. The kids loved it ages 6,7,9,10.

A Must Do for a great combo of nature, coffee, and chocolate
We laughed, we saw lots of hummingbirds and toucans, loved the chocolate making class and the coffee was yum. Bring binoculars if you have them. While he had a pair we could share, birding as well as being out in nature at all is better with your own set. It was a bit muddy especially by the river so suggest bringing water shoes. Our guide was friendly and it was just the 3 of us so we went at our own pace. He was very knowledgeable regarding things other than nature (politics, history, landmarks). We grabbed some fresh made pastry type bites from a street vendor that were awesome. Just well done and enjoyed every stage of it - hummingbirds on your hand - LOVE! I wore a bright shirt to attract them and it worked!
