I had an absolutely amazing day exploring Quito with Jose. From start to finish, the tour was exceptionally well organised, and every stop was thoughtfully planned to make the most of the day.
Jose’s knowledge of Ecuador’s history, culture, and landmarks was outstanding. He shared fascinating information throughout the tour, making each location even more meaningful and enjoyable. His passion for his country really shines through.
What made the experience even more special was the personal attention he gave. He took the time to answer all of my questions, provided excellent local recommendations, and shared invaluable tips to help me make the most of my upcoming trip to the Galápagos Islands. His advice has given me much more confidence for the next part of my journey.

We'd give six stars if we could. We booked a private full-day tour of Quito. We did some of the itinerary the day before, and we negotiated a variation with Jorge to skip those and include other things. We drove him nuts with changes of mind. He was always gracious and accommodated our desires, even adding a wonderful site not on the standard program.
Our guide/driver Jose was very pleasant and happily gave us a customised tour. He was a very safe driver, demonstrating great patience in the infuriating Quito traffic jams. He is a long-time resident of Quito, and his love of the city enhanced the day's travels.
We'd highly recommend Jose for a private tour around Quito.

This a great tour that anyoen should take on their first trip to Quito Ecuador. The guide, Jose, was very knowledgeable and was very conversational. In Mitad del Mundo, heecnouraged us to complete acitivities to get a certificate and also told us to get a stamp. He walked us around the Plaza Grande and pinted out significant buildings. He brought us to the Basilica and into many beautiful churches. He also had us do the cholcoate tasting at Yumbos and helped us get jackets for our next day trip.

My tour with Jorge of Footprint Journeys in Quito was perfect. He was friendly and knowledgeable, balancing sharing information and letting us take in the experiences. He took care to avoid crowds when possible. I was traveling solo and appreciated joining the small group (there was one other guest for our tour). The optional meal we had on the volcano was a highlight! The ease of pick up at my hotel and all included fees made this a comfortable and convenient way to spend the one day I had in Quito. I look forward to being back and would book another tour with Jorge again!

The tour met our expectations and we saw all of the local attractions on our list. Our tour guide, Jose, was very informative and accomodating. We were able to go at our own pace especially on our hike up to the swings. All admission fees were included with the price of the tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Quito.

Our passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly guide Jorge - co-owner of Footprint Journeys - provided an engaging and comprehensive introduction to Ecuador’s stunning capital city. The full-day tour (which covered all the main attractions, packed in several unique experiences, and conveniently included all entrance fees), was the ideal way to start our visit to this spectacular and set the stage for onward travel to the Galapagos. The transportation was very comfortable, and the private tour allowed for a more personalized experience and greater insight into the South American culture. This trip was a great comprehensive visit to Quito. My tour guide showed up on time and was very knowledgeable offering me insight into life in Ecuador and answering any questions I had. First stop was the equator museum with optional 45 minutes tour (by museum staff); I definitely recommend this tour and only $5! From there, we drove and took the cable cars up the volcano; it's one of the largest cable car systems in the world. There is some elevation climb here so you may be out of breath; maybe take this tour after one day of adjusting in Quito. At the top was my favorite big swing, alpacas and a very tasty lunch. We continued on to the historic district for a visit to beautiful churches and a taste of chocolate.
I really appreciate the tour operator offering to take photos without me even asking. Excellent tour!
