This tour was a great way to see the highlights of Quito in a half day. Guide Ximena is a Quito native and knew all the interesting places to go, and when to get there to avoid crowds. The tour started and ended at the front door of my hotel, so this was a no-hassle way to tour Quito.

Prompt hotel pick up with itinerary including teleferico and El Panecillo providing value to what is otherwise a short City centre walking tour. Good explanations about the city and its development. Can be cool at the top of the cable car ride. Bring your own water - none was offered.

Our tour guide Ivan created a wonderful experience for our family on short notice. Our father, age 96, and my sister and I had an amazing time touring the city and learning about the history as well as current cultural events. Ivan shared facts within entertaining stories so we were engaged and informed. He took us for a chocolate tasting which was delicious. And he offered to go back fornthe car adding time to his day because my dad really couldn’t walk back. Ivan was attentive and caring. He truly made our day

It is very high and maybe chilly up there. Be prepared if you have Problems with Altitude. Have a lovely coca tea, listen to Interessting history of the City from Fantastic Guide IBAN. The View is Stunning!

This was a full day 9-5 for us, including transport to and from. The cable car experience is a must. Lets you see the whole city and beyond to the volcanoes. Then a walking tour of the old city. We were told ahead of time that admissions to various places would be extra; so don’t be surprised. We went to a nice but inexpensive place for lunch. Our guide Freddy was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a variety of optional things to do while showing us the must-sees. This was a worthwhile way to spend a day in advance of our visit to the Galapagos. Please realize that there is a fair bit of walking up and down steep paths at 13000 and 9000 feet.

Ximena gave us an excellent tour! She knew how best to avoid the crowds, and she changed the order to suit the weather, assuring us the best views from the top of the mountain. . Wow! What a great tour. Our guide, Hugo, was excellent and so informative. Great pace and perfect balance and timing of all the must-see sites. Hugo spoke perfect English and had a wonderful sense of humor. He timed the cable car entrance perfectly so there was no line and a clear morning sky. Can’t recommend this tour enough. Ask for Hugo, if you can.

Luis was a great guide! Right on time, spoke great English, and even conversed with me in Spanish, to help me practice! The ride on the cable car was awesome, and the short hike was no too hard at all! Beautiful views!
It being my first day in Quito, Luis really helped me get a layout of the city! He even bumped into a previous tour guest who had lost her luggage at the airport, and he was assisting her get her luggage! Very nice! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Carlo Avila was a rock star! We learned so much about Quito’s history, culture, people in just one day! The tourist areas can be crowded and traffic difficult to negotiate, but he efficiently moved us from one tourist attraction to another attraction saving us time and stress. Ximena was a fantastic guide for our first day in Quito! She was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. We started the day with the cable car and breathtaking views of Quito, then leisurely explored Quito Old Town including a delicious lunch followed by a chocolate tasting. We then visited the Virgin of Quito statue before ending our day climbing the towers of Basílica del Voto Nacional. She helped us to customize our private tour and gave excellent recommendations. Brilliant day with Xmena, our guide. Started at the magnificent Basillica & climbed the tower by 9.30am 😁 What a building!! Beautiful views. Next stop the gondola to the top overlooking Quito - 4,000m up 😊 Slowly, slowly up to the viewpoint & the swing. Great experience 😁 To the old town & a delicious lunch at la Capilla (cerviche is a must!!), informative wander round the old town & up to the Virgin Mary statue. Great views 😊 Xmena was great, informed & knowledgeable & good company. We met a guide & left a friend 😁 A brilliant day.

Ximena was a great guide--very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She knew a lot of details like where to park, where to eat, etc. which made the day much more efficient and enjoyable. I was nervous about going out and about in Quito because all I had heard about street crime and such. I would not have been comfortable doing all of these activities alone or as a couple, but I felt safe with a guide who knew what she was doing--she knew what streets to avoid, etc.

We’d already had a tour of Quito with Celebrity Cruises, but wanted the more personal touch. This is a fantastic tour - great guide who gave us so much information (they have to study 3/4 years to become a tour guide). We were so lucky with the weather, saw some amazing sights and lunch was in a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend.
