It was a long trip of over 3.5 hour each way but it was worth it. The view from Casa Arbol is fantastic. The zipline in Rio Blanco was unique because they allowed for various styles. The cable car gave us a great view of the small waterfall. El Pailon was simply magnificent. Dani, our guide, was also very helpful in talking about the culture, legends, and history.

The ride from Quito is quite long, but the views are beautiful and there is plenty of tropical nature. The waterfall was very powerful and definitely worth visiting. There are lots of activities for adventure seekers, like ziplining, etc. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable day trip!

Ernesto was awesome!! First and foremost, I have to give mad props to our guide. He was so kind and enthusiastic and the man had knowledge and answers for everything. Very cool guy. He took pictures on his camera for the other traveler and myself throughout the day and it was so kind of him to share those pics. The drive from Quito is long, but pretty. When you reach Banos, the views just get better. The cable car above the waterfall was thrilling. The Devil's Cauldron waterfall was so pretty. He gives you an option on which way you would like to hike it, but keep in mind there are a lot of steps either way if you have wobbly knees. Buy the mangos at the end! One dollar for a refreshing snack. He took us to an adventure park where both of us on the tour jumped off a high bridge. It was thrilling and for me, very affordable compared to USA prices. You can also pay a little extra to get photos taken. Lunch was in town. He shows you a few options to choose from, but we both opted for the local mercado where locals were selling cheap and delicious local cuisine. We had the fish soup and it was so yummy!! Also, a juice. I highly recommend this mercado over all the single restaurants he shows. Finally he takes you to the famous swing on the hill. It's very fun and charming. We didn't get to see the volcano because of the clouds, but hopefully you will! It's a long day, but it's so fun. Go with Ernesto. He's top notch. And don't forget, gratuity is appreciated for the locals! :)

the place is awsome. the food terrific. we had a wonderfull experience. the guide was another history. he never sent the pictures that he took or he deleted on whatsup. I do not why he did that. the whole group colaborated and gave him a good tip. that was the only negative experience.

We had an excellent day on this excursion. A huge thank you to Carlos, our guide, who was absolutely outstanding. He speaks English very well, gives great advice about Ecuador, and shares the city’s history and tourist attractions in a clear and engaging way. His explanations were informative, interesting, and always captivating. Carlos really let us take our time. He was never pushy and allowed us to fully enjoy each place, taking photos and videos at a relaxed pace. This made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the visits included in the excursion they were very well chosen and well organized. Even though the day was intensive, it was pleasant from start to finish. A big thank you as well to the driver, who was very professional, careful, and friendly, making the trip comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this excursion with Carlos.

Had a great time in Baños with a fun group of people. This is a gorgeous part of Ecuador and worth the trip. Irene was the best guide! Her energy was great and she had so many historical details and funny stories to share. You can tell she is proud of her country and she is happy to have you there. Thank you Irene!

Highly recommend!

Amazing

A heartfelt thank you to Mari and Byron for an unforgettable journey to Baños, Ecuador. After nine months of traveling with my children, this tour stands out as the most meaningful experience we've had. From the moment we met our guide Mari and our driver Byron, I felt an overwhelming sense of safety, warmth, and care. It wasn’t just the breathtaking landscapes or thrilling attractions that made this trip special—it was the way Mari and Byron showed up for us. They went above and beyond to connect with my kids, sharing stories, laughter, and genuine kindness. Their deep knowledge of the region added richness to every stop, and their attentiveness made me feel truly supported as a solo parent on the road. This wasn’t just a tour—it was a gift. Mari and Byron turned a beautiful destination into a cherished memory, and for that, I’m deeply greatful.

Great adventure tour!

Denise_H, Aug 2025
Trip was super fun! Irina our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. She explained a lot about the local food and culture. She accommodated the needs of the older tourists very well. The swing at the end of the world was a heart pounder, as was the cable car to the waterfall-- so beautiful and loads of fun! The Devils cauldron waterfall was truly amazing! So much power! The hike down the stairs was definitely not wheelchair accessible. We traveled on a double decker bus, which was a blast in town, and got great pictures. Such a great experience!

Super fun day!

We loved this day! We were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel, which made it so easy. Our guide and driver were great. The guide gave us great info and kept us well entertained on the ride. The only disappointment was that the trip description says that they go to Cotopaxi National Park and that it is possible to get a decent view for a photo op. We never went anywhere near Cotopaxi. He pointed it out from the highway just outside Quito, but we had just as good a view from places right in Quito. Since some of us took this tour in lieu of the one that goes exclusively to Cotopaxi National Park, we were sad to miss the opportunity. However, the rest of the day was great. Our guide took photos and videos while we did things and sent them to us on WhatsApp. We went on the swing, the glass bridge/bungee jumping, zip lining, the cable car thing, and to the huge waterfall. Even with an overcast day, the views were amazing. The drive back to Quito is LONG. Like nearly 4 hours. You don’t notice on the way to Baños because they stop several times. The way home is mostly a straight shot with one quick bathroom break. We were picked up at 6:15 and returned to the hotel at about 9:00 pm. Overall, it’s a great day!

Don’t hesitate!!

It was a full, exciting, amazing, beautiful day! Adrian (the tour guide) and Raul (our driver) made us all feel like family. We spent the day looking at the most beautiful waterfalls we have ever seen. Adrian was very knowledgeable about Ecuadorian history and culture and they were both very professional. It was an adventurous day and I felt safe on all adventures we did. This was definitely a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend it!

Just go!

I took the Baños Full Day Tour from Quito and had a great experience from start to finish. The transportation was clean and comfortable, and our driver Jimmy made sure the group got to every destination safely. Our bilingual guide, Adrian, was excellent—he gave clear, interesting explanations in both English and Spanish and really knew his stuff, especially when talking about Ecuador’s volcanoes. Even though the clouds were low at Casa del Árbol, the swing was still a fun experience. The Devil’s Cauldron waterfall was powerful and impressive—definitely a highlight of the trip. The cable car ride over the Pastaza River gave us a unique view and made for some great photo ops. Adrian guided us smoothly throughout the day and made sure everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend this tour if you’re in Quito and want to explore Baños in a day. Worth every penny.

Adrian & Andres were the perfect combo of driver and tour guide. Adrian speaks flawless English and is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and generous with his time. We signed up for a long day of activities but he was more than happy to let us add in a bungee swing we wanted to do and take tons of great pictures for us all day long without us even asking him to. Andres was an expert smooth driver on the busy and windy streets and offered us fresh fruit snacks from those he bought for himself. Wonderful day and couldn't recommend more highly.

So much fun
